After a hike in the vineyards or a bike tour, it is always worthwhile to fortify yourself with young wine and homemade food in a convivial atmosphere at the Heurigen. There are also nice restaurants, Heurigen music evenings, farmers' markets, the Marillenkirtag and attractive day trip destinations. The panorama of the terraced vineyards can be enjoyed on a boat trip along the Danube, while also going ashore for excursions.

Wonderful 3 weeks in the Wachau
We were completely satisfied. Nothing was missing and any additional requests we had could be promptly sorted out. Therefore, three relaxed weeks away from the turbulent tourist spots, but easily accessible from Melk to Krems in a short time. Also, a beautiful hiking area with surprising discoveries, charming landscapes, and rare plants and animals for us "city dwellers" - we enjoyed our vacation!
Minus a tiny star because of the road above, which was a bit disturbing.
