There are two flats in the holiday home. The ground floor flat is for two people, while the flat on the 1st floor offers space for four people. However, the holiday home can also be rented as a whole for a holiday with grandparents or for a group of friends up to 6 people. You can book your holiday with us as a couple, family or smaller group (friends). Every constellation is welcome and we try to accommodate your individual room wishes.
The rooms are comfortably furnished: The furniture made of our own wood gives the rooms a homely ambience. In the living room a tiled stove provides cosiness. A large winter garden or a spacious covered balcony make your stay a nature experience even on cooler evenings. The kitchen and bathroom are modernly equipped. The car is protected in the spacious garage.
The chestnut tree in the courtyard is the ideal place on hot summer days to enjoy a well-deserved holiday in its shade. A clear starry sky appears above the small house bench at night. Central starting point for all holiday activities, from swimming, hiking, mountaineering, cycling to a concert experience or a visit to a museum.

The ideal location offers everything that those seeking relaxation could wish for: Tranquillity, pure nature, extensive hiking trails directly from the front door (to the castle ruins and small chapel on the Schloßberg in Tettelham) and appealing touring possibilities for cyclists and bikers. The beaches of Lake Taching and Lake Wagingen are only two kilometres away.
A trip to Lake Chiemsee with Herrenchiemsee Castle and Fraueninsel is also worthwhile. The mountains are within reach: Ruhpolding, Berchtesgaden or Bad Reichenhall are no more than 30 minutes away by car. Experienced mountaineers will find their summit happiness here just as much as hikers who want to take it a little easier
If you fancy a bit of cultural variety, the event calendars of the surrounding towns of Traunstein,Traunreut and Burghausen offer an extensive programme - from top-class concerts to attractive art exhibitions and interesting museums. Not forgetting the Pope's birthplace in Marktl in the neighbouring district of Altötting. Salzburg, Austria's secret cultural stronghold, is also within easy reach.

It was nice
I spent two weeks in Biburg. A break with my sewing machine. The apartment is perfectly equipped and ideally located for relaxing in peace (yoga with mountain views). The bakery and inn are easily accessible by bike.

Vacation apartment with conservatory.
The vacation apartment is large, spacious, and well-equipped. I always felt very comfortable even though I had several rainy days. The apartment offers amenities like a radio, TV, WiFi, books, games, etc. for such days! It is also well located for excursions, for example to Chiemsee, Königsee or Salzburg, or simply to relax on the terrace or in the conservatory. The Obermayer family is very friendly and we always had nice conversations. I would definitely come back.

Top holiday flat to relax in
To sum up the evaluation right away: Everything was fine, there were no (!) complaints.
We had the lower flat and were completely satisfied: everything was very spacious and roomy, really fully equipped, cosy and, what is always important to us, very clean.
The location is outside, nice and quiet, without traffic noise, and apart from the "Zuhäusl" there is only the old farm, a stable as well as a chapel and a wayside shrine on the grounds. All around are fields, meadows and woods.
Really ideal for relaxing. Despite the quiet location, it is only a few minutes by car to the lake with its bathing beach, in Waging (all shops and supermarkets available) and there are decent restaurants in the neighbouring villages.
There are also beautiful excursions within a radius of 30 km, e.g. the huge castle in Burghausen, beautiful places like Tittmoning, Waging, Laufen or nearby Traunstein (brewery tour!)
If you want to hike in the mountains, drive only 15 km south, that's where the "Gebirge" begins and visit the Stoißer Alm after a 2-hour climb. And Salzburg is also only 35 km away.
We were lucky with the weather, but the way the flat is equipped, with large living room and winter garden, you can certainly spend a few rainy days. And for the winter there is a cosy tiled stove.

Absolutely recommendable
We stayed in the lower flat with a winter garden. It is really big for 2 people, very modernly equipped, a 2x2m bed with good mattresses (which I personally really appreciate on holiday if the bed is good), a great big kitchen, and so on. I also liked the books, which are available in large numbers. The garage has everything you could possibly need on a terrace. Full points for the equipment alone. This is really one of the best holiday flats I have been able to visit so far.
The surroundings are very rural, quiet, you really have your peace and quiet. Even the cowshed did not affect us in any negative way. Neither smell nor noise could we perceive. The hay harvest was due in our time period, but even that didn't wake us up once ?
Apart from that, there are of course the lakes, which are wonderfully clean. For people who cycle regularly, they are also easily accessible by bike, although you have to climb a bit to get home
We'll be happy to come back again, because it was simply beautiful with you.

Cozy and modern holiday apartment with 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor.
My husband and I stayed in the vacation rental on the 1st floor from 18. 9. 2019 - 23. 9. 2019. We were impressed from the beginning. Pure feel-good atmosphere as soon as we entered the apartment. My husband has respiratory problems and could breathe really well here. We were very warmly welcomed by Mrs. Obermayer and she also gave us good tips for dining out. The kitchen is fully equipped for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even baking cakes, etc. The apartment is tastefully furnished (a mix of modern and rustic) and the beds/mattresses are very good. Otherwise, the apartment is tip-top and well-maintained. The vacation rental is a good starting point for trips in the surrounding area. Shopping and a bakery in Waging am See are nearby. The vacation rental is located very rurally on a farm with livestock farming, which did not bother us as we are from the countryside, but this is something you should be aware of. Dear Mrs. Obermayer, we would love to come back again! Thank you very much, Monika and Achim.
