Description
Family house in the beautiful artists' village of Bergen, where you can enjoy peace and quiet in green surroundings. A few minutes' walk from the center of the village. The bright semi-detached house, built in the fifties, has a driveway (15-20 meters, shared with the neighbors), with its own parking space and is located on a quiet avenue with many old trees. The furnishings of the house are simple but tasteful and quite complete. It is a cozy house to live in. The house extends to the back along the garden. In the rear part of the house there is a dining room and another bedroom with a toilet.
There is laminate flooring everywhere (kitchen: vinyl flooring), so it is easy to keep clean.
The cozy living room consists of a comfortable seating area around the open (gas) fireplace, a dining area, and a large bookcase with books. Television (flatscreen) with Google Chromecast. Music system for CD/USB/Bluetooth. A lot of information about Bergen and the surrounding area.
The kitchen is simple but well equipped: refrigerator with large freezer compartment, dishwasher, coffee machines (filter and also cups/Nespresso), toaster, kettle, microwave, oven, washing machine, etc.
From the kitchen, you reach the separate dining room (with table) at the back of the house, and then the bedroom (2 single beds) with its own washbasin, wardrobe, and private toilet. On the first floor: bedroom with good double bed and a bedroom with two good single beds. Small bathroom (with washbasin and spacious shower; hairdryer available). And an extra room with three large wardrobes.
The garden, which extends to the back, is fenced and can be closed; therefore ideal for small children or a dog. In front of the house there is also a garden and up to the street there is a lush green strip with trees and bushes of about 20 meters. Garden: Lounge set, garden table with chairs, all deck chairs, sun umbrella over the terrace.
Max. 5 people, e.g. family with children. Dog allowed.
This house has been a family house since it was built in 1958. The house was renovated and renewed in 2017.
In short: The house is not ultra-modern, but it is cozy and pleasant to live in and equipped with every comfort. In addition, it is located in a quiet, green area and yet close to the village. The house can only be rented to a limited extent due to municipal regulations. We also often and gladly stay in this cozy house for relaxation. Every season is beautiful in Bergen.

Location and surroundings of object
This family house is located on the edge of the artist village Bergen. A few minutes walk away you will find the cozy village with its many sunny sidewalk cafes, restaurants and boutiques.
Of course, you can enjoy the sea and the beach, but you can also take a walk or cycle through woods and dunes. Bergen is a cozy old village with many sidewalk cafes, restaurants, boutiques and also you can enjoy art, golf, horseback riding, cycling. By bike you can drive through the dunes to the beach (20 minutes), but also in the neighboring coastal village of Schoorl and Camperduin.
You can ride horse nearby, and play golf on the Sluispolder golf course (3 km).
Nearby is the beautiful old town Alkmaar (5 km) with canals, cheese market and many shops. And Amsterdam is also easy to reach by car or train.
Of course art also exists in the artist village Bergen, for example in Museum Kranenburgh.

We have been to Ruud and Marieke several times, as this house, the place, and the hosts are wonderful!

Very satisfied!
We had a great week here with our daughter, son-in-law, and grandchild. We lacked nothing and really enjoyed the location and the good facilities of the house.
We mostly cooked at home, which was quite cheap since everything we needed was on site, from the stove to the microwave, refrigerator, etc.
We would especially like to highlight the friendliness and great support from Marieke and Ruud when we had a little problem. Quickly, the problem was solved.
We will gladly return.

Wonderful accommodation
Top holiday home!
The house is centrally located to the city center and yet wonderfully quiet.
The house and garden are spacious, and the facilities include furniture, dishes, pots, etc.
There are wonderful seating areas in the house and garden for relaxing. The beds have very good mattresses, so even people with back problems can have a restful night's sleep.
There is also plenty of space to unpack your suitcases.
All in all, this house is not just a house, but a home. You can arrive and feel comfortable right away.
It is also worth mentioning the care of the landlords. Thank you very much, Ruud and Marieke! We are already looking forward to our Easter vacation in 2024.

A wonderful vacation
We spent wonderful days in Bergen in the house of the Jongedijk family and felt completely comfortable.
The house is absolutely clean and nothing is missing, you come in and can immediately enjoy your vacation. The weather also treated us well, so we could spend beautiful hours in the garden.
We can recommend the house without reservation and there can be no better landlords than Ruud and Marieke. They are such friendly, accommodating, and empathetic people who are always accessible and have thus made our vacation even sweeter.

Quiet beautiful holiday home
We spent 5 days in this beautiful, quiet holiday home.
The occasion was unfortunately not so nice, my husband's burial at sea
Nevertheless, we were able to enjoy the days "afterwards" among ourselves. There was nothing missing, super equipment, quiet location, plenty of space, village centre within short walking distance. Very friendly, sympathetic landlords!
We would like to come back!

This house is a family home. The owner grew up here as a kid. Mother is German and father came from Bergen. The house was renovated in 2017, renovated and was rented from then on. The owner now lives 50 km from the apartment. We ourselves or the administration will receive you in a friendly way! You can rent the house the whole year. Every season is beautiful in Bergen.
