In spring and summer you are surrounded by a natural meadow with countless wild flowers
In autumn, the house and the landscape are bathed in warm orange tones. At this time you are usually above the clouds
Winter: Falkert high-altitude ski area - the snow-sure stress-free place for the whole family. You practically live in the ski area and there is no queuing at the lift.
Summer: Hiking in the biosphere park (former national park) Nockberge - live on the alp! Swimming fun in Carinthia's lakes!

Location and surroundings of object
To the Falkert leads a toll-free country road of about 8km from 1100m to 1800m sea level. It is a dead end road without through traffic. The Almhaus is quietly located on the edge of the settlement in the Heidialm-Bergressort, at the end of a path and has two parking spaces.

We calculate arrival day (until 18:00) and departure day (until 10:00) (usually Saturdays) as one day. Late check-in/out extra € 10,00. Bed linen must be brought or ordered on site. € 55,00, can also be done by yourself (final check by manager). |

- Free cancellation option until 61 days before the day of arrival.

The nearest larger towns are Bad Kleinkirchheim, Millstatt, Feldkirchen. The provincial capital Klagenfurt is about 50km away, as is the alpine town of Villach. Both have about 100 thousand inhabitants and have a wide range of cultural offerings.

14 beautiful days on the Falkert
When Austrians like something without exception, you sometimes hear a "basst". And that's exactly how it was for us with the Almhaus an der Sonne: "basst". Everything was 5-star: from the fully equipped kitchen to the fireplace, for which there was more than enough firewood. The heating can be controlled smartly. Only for the shower would an investment in a shower curtain be desirable
The location on the edge of the holiday area directly on a hiking trail is fantastic, you can hardly get better in this area. The south-facing balcony is also needed in a cool summer like this
We were informed about everything in good time, especially always up to date about the current Carinthian Corona rules. Communication with the landlords was mostly via email
If you are looking for peace and relaxation, the Almhaus an der Sonne and the Falkertsee are the right place for you.

Highly recommended
A beautiful rustic cabin with lots of comfort in a quiet location with a panoramic view. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to Lake Falkert.

Perfect vacation
We felt very comfortable in the alpine house. 4 adults plus a toddler and a dog had sufficient space.
The location is excellent, only the brakes are slightly affected when going down into the valley :)
But you are super central and can explore Carinthia.
Also in terms of hiking, you can walk out the door and reach everything.
Price/performance is therefore very good.

Holiday and yet feel at home
Arriving, unpacking, feeling comfortable - beautifully nestled on the edge of a small complex, this gem is "stapled" to the slope. Although the emphasis is not on "small". The appearance of the beautiful pictures is not deceiving. My wife and I immediately felt at home. The house is very clean and has all the amenities you need and even more. We can recommend both the accommodation and the region without reservation. Breakfast on the balcony, with a view of the mountains - nothing more is needed. Communication with the providers was always timely and reliable.

Beautiful house
This holiday home can be recommended with a clear conscience. It has a beautiful location on the outskirts with a beautiful view. The interior is cosy and functional.
The contact with the landlord beforehand went smoothly - there is also a contact person on site who is easy to reach.
