The 'Rosenhäuschen Nostalgie' is located in the middle of the old village centre of Kirnsulzbach (district of Kirn). Our "Rosenhäuschen Nostalgie" is praised by many guests as a true gem where you immediately feel at home
After long years in slumber, our freshly spruced up, old half-timbered house offers an atmosphere to dream and enjoy. The holiday home consists of the two holiday flats 'Heckenrose' and 'Buschwindröschen'. In addition, you have a cosy large kitchen and a traditional wine cellar. In the large fenced garden and our adjacent small farm you can relax with our goats, rabbits, ducks, turkeys, Pomeranian geese, chickens and our dogs "Ely" and "Bina" or celebrate a barbecue. (info )
Your four-legged friends will also quickly feel at home here, but only on a leash because of our running ducks in the garden. But in only three to four minutes you are with them in almost untouched nature
If available, you can get fresh eggs from our happy chickens every day. All year round you may help yourself in our natural permaculture garden and harvest what the wild garden offers us. With our 8-10 cashmere goats, we are happy to take you on a hike through the wild Trübenbach valley, or for a rustic "goat breakfast" on the Staufenberg. For the children, there is also a cosy real tree house in the garden with a "kitchen-living room" and "bedroom". Our rabbits in the chicken enclosure and our running ducks are also happy when they get visitors
A paradise for hiking enthusiasts, whom we support in the best possible way with extensive hiking maps, information and GPS, also with individual and exclusive hiking suggestions, (plus geocaching). Garden and offers: Our somewhat wild garden merges seamlessly with the adjacent wild orchards and forest slopes of the Hunsrück, as well as our poultry enclosure and goat pasture. A beautiful tree house for children with a cosy living-cooking area and the possibility to sleep in the roof top. An outdoor seating area directly behind the house, a barbecue area with seating, a garden pond populated by ducks and a sunbathing lawn offer you a variety of ways to enjoy your holiday in nature. For cosy barbecue rounds with our 'swivel grill, charcoal or gas barbecue, we provide you with barbecue wood, charcoal or gas free of charge. Our five cashmere billy goats will be happy to go for a walk with you (free of charge).
In nearby Idar-Oberstein you will find one of the largest gemstone regions in Europe. To go treasure hunting yourself, you can get a treasure map and tools from us. We can also provide you with hiking maps of the area and detailed information material about the many sights of the Nahe valley. Wine cellar 'Kleine Reblaus':: You can enjoy an unforgettable experience in our small, ancient vaulted cellar. By candlelight, you will not only enjoy a cool Kirn beer in hearty mugs, but also the aromatic, fruity Nahe wine even better than usual
Hiking in the wild Hunsrück and in the Nahe Valley: There are many wonderful hiking routes through wild, romantic valleys, along steep vineyards, past mighty knight's castles and dreamy villages in one of the most beautiful low mountain ranges in Europe. Since time immemorial, the Naheland has been considered the natural region par excellence. Guests from all over the world appreciate the Naheland as a top address for unique nature experiences with impressive diversity. The hiking trails across the heights and valleys of the Hunsrück and Nahe valleys start only a few minutes away from our house. The highlights are several premium hiking trails of which the "Middle Ages Trail" was awarded the title of Germany's most beautiful hiking trail in 2010, and now quite recently the 'Hahnenbachtal Tour' in 2012. (can also be seen as a video below.) With our tips, you can also roam the wild paths and streams off the hiking trails. Enjoying the peace and quiet while hiking here is pure recreation and relaxation at any time of year. Hiking maps, Nordic walking sticks or information on geocaching are provided free of charge.

| The daily rate is valid for a booking of at least 7 nights. For short bookings of 2-4 nights over a weekend we charge 290,- Euro + 65,- Euro . During the school holidays we only rent for a minimum of 7 nights from Sat. |

Great expectation - great disappointment.
As a larger family, we were looking for a suitable vacation rental, and the description of the Rosenhäuschen met our expectations. The cottage was quickly booked - unusual from previous experiences was that the full rental amount had to be paid in advance - however, the payment receipt was not confirmed shortly by email. Two days before arrival, we called the landlord to find out how we would get the key - I had a very stressed landlord on the phone and the conversation was brief and not friendly (too bad). The welcome at the holiday destination by the landlady was friendly and we received a pack of eggs from happy chickens as a welcome gift - which was a very nice gesture - thank you again at this point.
