IL CASETTINO is an ancient farmhouse in Radicondoli, in the province of Siena, immersed in the green countryside of the Tuscan hills and in the middle of a wildlife reserve. Il Casettino offers 3 independent apartments (La Casina, La Casa Nuova, La Capanna), which are ideal for 2, 3 or 4 guests and each have their own entrances and spacious gardens.
The apartment La Casina has been built from the lower part of the main building and has been restored with much love and respect for the preservation of the original characteristics of the house with its architectural values of the once peasant time; For example, there is still the former beautiful manger as a furnishing element in the living room.

IL CASETTINO is located in the municipality of Radicondoli, a small medieval village, whose origins date back to very ancient times, in fact the first archaeological traces are from the Etruscan period.
Radicondoli is located in a strategic position, such that the main Tuscan art cities can be reached in a short time: Siena, Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Volterra, San Gimignano and Monteriggioni. For art lovers, a must-see is the suggestive Basilica of San Galgano, which, thanks to its special acoustics, is the venue for numerous classical music concerts.
Also within easy reach of Radicondoli are the Chianti vineyards and attractive seaside resorts on the Tyrrhenian coast, including: Follonica, Castiglione della Pescaia, the Etruscan Gulf of Baratti, to name but a few.
Also worth mentioning is the possibility of reaching, via the port of Piombino, the Island of Elba, which, together with the other islands of the Tuscan Archipelago, is part of Europe's largest Marine Park, the largest protected area in the European seas. The Park is characterised by a great variety of habitats, populated by a variety of life forms. From the beaches of Elba to the rocky cliffs of western Capraia, a myriad of plant and animal species live in every crevice of one of the most fascinating natural environments: the sea.
Those who wish to take a plunge into the past, with all its history, have the opportunity to walk along the Via Francigena. It represents another great wealth that belongs to this territory. In fact, the Via Francigena has been declared a 'Great Cultural Route' by the Council of Europe, passing through Great Britain, France, Switzerland, Italy and the Vatican State. It was started by the Longobards and later incorporated into a pilgrimage itinerary. In Tuscany, it passes through the province of Massa Carrara, Pisa, Lucca, Florence and Siena. The connection point to the Via Francigena, closest to Radicondoli, is near Monteriggioni, at Badia ad Isola and leads to Siena.
For those who want to undergo physical cures, but also to regain their physical form and beauty, the ideal is to spend a day of relaxation and pleasure at the Petriolo Thermal Baths (40 minutes by car) or at the San Giovanni Thermal Baths in Rapolano Terme (1 hour by car) surrounded by unspoilt nature.
Cycling enthusiasts also have routes and itineraries for all needs, which develop in the nature of the Radicondolo hills.

Beautiful country house in wonderful nature
We felt completely at home in the house La Cassettina.
It is ideally suited for people who like to find peace and relaxation. The furnishings of the flat are very cosy, designed in the old Tuscan style. Excursions to the nearer or further surroundings can be started very well from here, as the larger connecting road can be reached after a few kilometres. The swimming pool area is wonderful and very clean. The two landlords
Grazia and Rossano are super nice and they were always helpful in all our matters. We can fully recommend La Cassettina.
