The upscale furnishings and the direct location on the unspoiled Pötzensee, in a small residential settlement near the Seeluster Bay of Lake Plau, in the middle of the Mecklenburg Lake District, make the Seeblick Plötzensee holiday home with its own jetty and rowing boat (incl.) truly special. Here you will find above all one thing: relaxation in an idyllic piece of nature, in the midst of Germany's popular holiday region MV. A beautiful spot on earth! Fishing permits for Plötzensee are available a short distance away.
The holiday home has 4 bedrooms, each with a double bed (1.80 m x 2.00 m). One of the bedrooms is additionally equipped with a bunk bed (1.00 x 1.80) and can be used as an extra bed for a child or teenager. The house offers plenty of space even for 8 people. Cots are available on request. There are 2 children's beds measuring 120 cm x 60 cm and 1 baby bed measuring 90 cm x 45 cm in the house.
The rental property is a non-smoking house. We offer allergy-friendly accommodation, therefore pets are unfortunately not allowed.

*The holiday home can be booked without the suite; in this case, you will have exclusive use of: 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 fully equipped kitchen, 1 large living room with living and dining area, and 1 game corridor. Dining table, matching chairs, living room sofa, and garden furniture are generously designed for 8 people. The holiday home is rented exclusively to one party, so you do not have to share the house, garden, or the private bathing jetty with rowing boat with other guests.
If the suite with the living and sleeping area (fourth bedroom, third bathroom, and living kitchen) is not booked, this suite will not be rented out during your stay. The suite alone is not rented. Since, as already mentioned, we also rent out our house without the suite, the price in the price calculator is calculated without the suite. This means that the price calculator calculates the final price for 3 bedrooms. If you would like to book the suite (with separate entrance) in addition or need it, the price for the suite is €150.00 for the first night; each additional night will be charged with €100.00 for the suite. *****This can be read again below the price calculator, in the box > Notes from the landlord and under > Additional information about the rental price. Ground floor:
On the ground floor there is the spacious and cozy living room with satellite TV and stereo system etc., which leads directly into the dining area. Here, the fully equipped country-style kitchen adjoins. Enjoy the view from the living room over the garden to the lake. In winter, the fireplace with glass doors provides cozy warmth. On the ground floor there is also a modern, white bedroom with a double bed, a shower room with washbasin, toilet, and rain shower. Furthermore, a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
Upper floor:
On the upper floor, in addition to a bathroom with double washbasin, toilet, and a bathtub, there are two more generously sized bedrooms. One of them with SAT-TV and double bed. The other bedroom is furnished with a double bed and an additional bunk bed (1.00 x 1.80 m) (3-bed room). A baby bed (travel cot) can be added to each of the two bedrooms. The popular play hallway is equipped with a sofa and a play table and invites you to extensive play. Here there are two cupboards filled with a variety of games and books. These are very welcome to our guests not only on rainy days.
Suite:
In the suite there is the fourth bedroom, the third bathroom with shower, a spacious washbasin and WC. The second room houses the cozy living kitchen (pantry kitchen) with a dining area. The high-quality sofa set with coffee table, together with the third SAT-TV, completes the suite. In the outdoor area of the holiday home on the spacious lakeside property, you will find:

The holiday home is located directly on the picturesque Plötzensee, in the quiet residential area of Plötzenhöhe, a district of the climatic health resort of Plau am See. The Seeluster Bucht, a beautiful bathing area of Lake Plauer See, is nearby.
The dreamlike, romantic surroundings invite you to go on long hikes and cycling tours through the slightly hilly landscape with its numerous lakes. Or step out of the house and refresh yourself in the lake, right on your doorstep
More detailed description:
In the immediate vicinity of our house, the circular hiking trail in the Plau Town Forest nature reserve "Spur der Zaubersteine" begins. This trail leads visitors on a length of approx. 10 km through the city forest of Plau, past several natural lakes. In the middle is the nature trail, which runs for three kilometres around the brick lake of the climatic health resort. In the smallest of spaces, a species-rich and in part rare living world can be experienced and observed. The kingfisher is also a native here
Lake Plauer See is about 300 m away from the holiday home and is a good starting point for the cycle route around Lake Plauer See. With an area of 39 km², Lake Plauer See is the seventh largest lake in Germany and the third largest lake in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. It is largely undeveloped and therefore offers natural shores in many places as well as some steep banks. The cycle path always leads directly along the lake and is mostly easy. It takes about 57 km to cycle around Lake Plauer See. The route consists mainly of packed forest paths and stabilised cycle paths.

Bicycle rental: If you do not bring your own bicycles, there is the possibility to rent bicycles (in suitable size) in the town centre of Plau am See. This bicycle rental shop is located about 3 km from the holiday home and will deliver the bicycles to the holiday home if desired
Shopping facilities: There are several discount stores about 3 km from our holiday home. The historic, listed town centre with the half-timbered old town of Plau am See can also be reached in approx. 3 km from the holiday home. In Steinstraße, Marktstraße and their surroundings are many retailers, pharmacies, ice cream parlours, coffee shops, bakeries and a number of nice restaurants, or you can buy fresh fish for self-catering.
The climatic health resort of Plau am See has about 6,000 inhabitants, is divided into several districts and stretches for about 8 km along the western shore of Lake Plau.
There is a hospital and two rehabilitation clinics in the town of Plau am See and its districts. The hospital consists of an acute hospital and a neuro-orthopaedic rehabilitation centre. (Academic teaching hospital of the University of Rostock)
A magnificent promenade has been laid out along the Elde River, from which one has an unobstructed view of the beautifully nested old town. Many listed half-timbered houses can be admired, interspersed with venerable brick. After reunification, the town was thoroughly renovated. Doors from the period between 1800 and 1900 are still preserved in many of the houses
Worth seeing: The castle complex of Plau am See with castle museum, castle tower, built in 1449 and associated dungeon, the town hall-built in 1888 in Dutch neo-Renaissance style, the lift bridge, the church of St. Marien, built in 1225, the "chicken ladder" bridge, the Plau lock and much more.
The Elde, "Mecklenburg's blue ribbon" runs through the whole town. The Müritz-Elde waterway is a small, navigable canal that connects the large lakes of the Mecklenburg lake district with the Elbe. A highlight for the city's guests is to watch numerous boats being locked from the "Hühnerleiter" bridge, which leads directly over the lock. Another bridge, "Die Plauer Hubbrücke" is a steel lift bridge built in 1916 in the centre of the town of Plau am See. Boats pass under the bridge when leaving Lake Plau and entering the Elde. With a lifting height of up to 1.86 m, it is the highest lift bridge in Mecklenburg. It is popularly known as "THE BLUE WONDER OF PLAU".
If you want to take a look at the ensemble from above, you have three options. Either climb the defiant castle tower, the angular spire of St. Mary's Church or the new, red-and-white striped lighthouse named "Paul", on the pier adjacent to one of the three harbours of Plau am See.
Suggestions for excursions and activities:
There is a climbing park in Plau. In the immediate vicinity there is the Bärenwald-Müritz, a monkey forest with summer toboggan run, Elefantenhof-Platschow, Kamelhof Sternberger Burg to name but a few. Water skiing, motor boating, canoeing and much more. Passenger boat trips from Plau am See, on Lake Plauer See 5 or 7 lake trips via Lake Petersdorfer See, Fleesenssee, Kölpinsee via Binnenmüritz to Müritz. The Müritzeum in Waren is interesting, or you can take trips to the Baltic Sea near Rostock.

| The stated rental price refers to the holiday home with 3 bedrooms (without suite) and can be occupied by up to 6 people. For the 7th person (over-occupancy), adult or baby, an extra bed surcharge of € 20.00 per night will be charged. For the 7th and 8th person (overcrowding), an extra bed surcharge of € 40.00 per night will be charged for two babies. Stable and high-quality children's beds including upholstered bed linen are provided free of charge. Extensive children's crockery, two children's high chairs, garden swing, sandpit in the garden and extensive children's games in the house are also available free of charge. The suite can be booked additionally and costs 125,00 € on the first day, each further day is charged with 85,00 € (occupancy from 1 to 2 persons). We rent by the week in the months of June, July, August, September and October. Saturday is the day of arrival and departure. The vacation in this holiday home with the beautiful garden and direct access to the lake was a dream. We recovered very well.
We were 4 people in the holiday home. The house is very suitable for a relaxed family vacation. The rooms are large and friendly. The beds are great. We slept very well. The shared living room with the huge couch and large dining table could easily accommodate 8 people. We have really spread out :-) Everything is available in the kitchen. We actually cooked quite a lot and didn't eat out much because we could enjoy our meals in a very relaxed manner with the family in the garden. Everything is very clean, inviting, and well-maintained - new pillows and beds, lovely bed linen and towels, very comfortable. There is a great shower in the bathroom on the ground floor and a large bathtub in the bathroom upstairs. The garden is perfect with its pretty plants and the covered terrace with proper seating. There is plenty of space to play, lots of sun loungers, and a sturdy table tennis table. You can really tell that the landlords do everything as if they want to be guests in their holiday home themselves. Only the holiday home residents use the bathing jetty. We even often had the whole lake to ourselves - luxury.

Pure Erholung
House and outdoor facilities, especially the private jetty with seating directly on the lake, immediately evoke a vacation feeling. The description and pictures are 100% accurate. The kitchen equipment is perfect and self-catering is very possible due to the proximity to Plau. The landlords nearby are attentive and helpful. The outdoor spaces are spacious, very nicely designed, and absolutely inviting for relaxation, barbecuing, or being active. Thank you very much for the lovely time at the house by the lake.

Fishing vacation for three
Very nice landlords with a warm welcome on the arrival day.
The house is absolutely cozy and has everything you need for household.
There is also plenty of space in the garden with a great grill and many seating options.
As anglers, we fully enjoyed ourselves with our own jetty and a rowing boat on Lake Plötzensee.
We will definitely come back, it was a great week.

The holiday home was built in country house style and the spacious garden is equipped with a barbecue pavilion, climbing sandpit, children's swing, table tennis table and garden bench. The garden is designed as a natural garden oasis with ornamental cherries, summer lilacs, roses and lavender. In addition, our house was furnished and equipped in a cosy country house style with great attention to detail. In 2014, the Plau Knights' Festival took place for the first time, which inspired us to furnish the house with a touch of the Middle Ages. Heavy, solid oak cupboards and chests of drawers (not only) with wrought iron fittings joined modern, comfortable chairs, beds, sofas or sofa landscapes and garden loungers. Modern washbasins in all three bathrooms are very popular with our guests.
