Holiday bungalow 't Beaken is located in a beautiful spot in the dunes and close to the sea, a wonderful place to spend your holiday. The bungalow has a sunny sitting area with plenty of natural light, with digital television and a dining area with open kitchen. The kitchen (installed in March 2022) is fully equipped with, among other things, a coffee maker, dishwasher, refrigerator, and microwave.

There are two bedrooms, each with two box spring beds. Both bedrooms have their own washbasin. All bedrooms have closet space. The western bedroom was completely renovated in the spring of 2021.
The bungalow has a shower and a separate toilet.
Furthermore, the bungalow has a washing machine, a child's bed (travel cot), and a high chair is available on request. On the terrace with garden furniture you can enjoy the sun, peace, and space around you.

In February 2022, the bungalow was fitted with a new floor in the living room, kitchen, and hallway. Furthermore, in the spring of 2022, the house received black Swedish rabat on the outside. In 2025, the house received a new thatched roof.

Location and surroundings of object

Buren is the youngest of the four villages on Ameland and has a small 700 inhabitants. Buren is located in the middle of the island and is the most easterly of all villages. Further east are the famous Kooiduinen and 't Oerd. The Oerd is a beautiful nature reserve and has the highest dune of the island, called Oerblinkert. At the foot of the dune there is a shelter and on top of the dune there is an information panel and an orientation table. The nature reserve De Hon is still more Eastern. This is a beach landscape, in which many different bird species live and a variety of plant growth. Buren was originally the village of juttende farmers. The existence of these farmers is displayed in the Swartwoude Agricultural and Beachcombing Museum. The farmers did besides being farmers, also fishing, hunting and hunting. The museum shows this in the authentic decorated farmhouse with a lively representation of the life of the farmers around 1900. In addition, various beach discoveries are exhibited.

Buren has a number of interesting sights such as the Kooipplaats and the Rixt van het Oerd. This Amelander jutter lived on shipwrecks and left ships on the Ameland coast by firing ships. The Kooipplaats with the Nassau duck decoy is also worth a visit. Until 1930 the duck decoy and the associated Kooikershuis were owned by the Oranje Nassau family. Buren has many shops, restaurants, cafes and a supermarket. If you go to the west from Buren, one kilometer further you reach the village of Nes, the largest village on the island.
