On the 2000 sqm lovingly landscaped and green property, completely fenced with park-like green areas and a large piece of forest, you have at your SOLE disposal a Finnish outdoor block sauna, an indoor swimming pool (usable from the beginning of May to October), a charcoal barbecue trolley, 2 garden ponds with fish, sunbathing lawn with garden loungers and two swings. Several outdoor seating areas and a furnished, covered terrace invite you to linger without being seen from outside.

The cities of Koblenz (45 km), Trier (100 km), Wiesbaden (45 km) are within easy reach for a city tour, as are the small towns of Cochem, Beilstein or Bernkastel Mosel.

Calm and beautiful!
We were with 2 children in the house by the forest. The house has its own rustic style so that you feel comfortable right away! Lots of wood, fireplace, lovingly decorated. For the children, the large covered swimming pool was, of course, a highlight! For the parents, it was the spacious sauna with a relaxation room in the evenings!
In the house, there are two bedrooms and two toilets, which is very advantageous with children ;)
From the outside world, you occasionally hear motorcycles, otherwise only nature. For shopping, one drives 10 minutes to a neighboring town, where one finds all kinds of shops. The area is also very beautiful! Whether one wants to visit the many castles or simply stroll and sit in a café by the river.
So, absolutely recommended!

Great place for retreat and relaxation
We spent some snowy days with a group of six friends in the large estate and are completely thrilled. Nearby, there are beautiful hiking trails through the forest and the Middle Rhine Valley. The cabin itself offers plenty of space, and the loving furnishings of the house and property contribute to our desire to never leave the place. The highlights for us were definitely the cozy evenings by the fireplace, in the sauna, and stargazing in the garden. A full recommendation for anyone who wants to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and spend some time in nature.

Peace and relaxation in a rural setting
We spent 2 wonderful weeks at Haus am Waldeck. Very beautiful, well-kept garden, great indoor swimming pool with super pool and nice sauna . The holiday home is cosily furnished. The condition of the house, the swimming pool and the garden is perfect; the equipment is complete and well thought out.
As there are no shopping facilities nearby (nearest approx. 6 km), a car is definitely recommended.
The house is in a very quiet location and can be reached via a paved path about 300 m long.
The carport is also very suitable for large cars.
The surrounding area is very hilly, but was no problem with our e-bikes.

Dream holiday
Despite the great heat in August, we spent pleasant days in the Haus am Waldeck, the diversely designed garden, the great indoor swimming pool with the wonderful pool, the holiday home with the cosy rustic furnishings: we felt very comfortable. The state of maintenance of the house, swimming pool and garden was perfect, everything was complete and well thought out
We can recommend the Haus am Waldeck for guests who love peace and quiet, hiking and nature, who want to make excursions into the World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley and then relax in the garden, pool or sauna.

Needs getting used to
The house is okay. The house is made of wood. When we arrived, we had to heat the house really hard because it was freezing cold. I think the house was normally equipped. The TV was not that big. There was an outdated stereo system with a CD player. Other holidaymakers thought it was sooooo great. Well, taste is different. When we took a shower, the water stank like manure. And that every time. It's certainly nice there in the summer. The house is near the Loreley rock.

Im Haus gibt es zwei Schlafzimmer und zwei Toiletten, was mit Kindern sehr vorteilhaft ist ;)
Von der Außenwelt hört man ab und zu die Motorräder, sonst nur die Natur. Zum Einkaufen fährt man 10 Minuten in ein Nachbarschaftsort , wo man alle möglichen Einkaufsläden findet. Auch die Gegend ist sehr schön! Ob man die vielen Burge besuchen oder einfach Spazieren und sich in ein Café am Fluss setzen möchte.
Also, absolut empfehlenswert!
Da es in der Nähe keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt (Nächste ca. 6 km) ist ein Fahrzeug unbedingt empfehlenswert.
Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig und ist über einen ca. 300 m langen befestigten Weg zu erreichen.
Der Carport ist auch für große Autos sehr gut geeignet.
Die Umgebung ist sehr hügelig, aber war mit unseren E-Bikes kein Problem.
Das Haus am Waldeck können wir empfehlen für Gäste, die die Ruhe, Wanderungen und die Natur lieben, die Ausflüge ins Weltkulturerbe oberes Mittelrheintal machen wollen und sich danach im Garten, Pool oder in der Sauna entspannen wollen.
Wir würden diese Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen und werden bestimmt auch noch einmal hier her kommen.
Kleiner Hinweis (da wir das auch nicht wussten): die Endreinigung und vorgebuchte Extras ( z.B. Handtücher, etc.) müssen bei Ankunft bar bezahlt werden.

Der Pool ist sehr schön ebenso das uneinsehbare Grundstück.
Wir haben mit dem Auto mehrere Ausflüge gemacht z.B. Rüdesheim, Boppard, Wiesbaden. Wir hatten Fahrräder mit, ist aber aufgrund der Steigungen eher was
für sportlich ambitionierte Radfahrer.
Wir hatten einen schönen Urlaub und kommen gerne wieder.
Wir haben die 1400 km der Hin- und Rückfahrt wahrlich nicht bereut, denn auch die Gegend ist wunderbar. Machen Sie die Tagestour von Rüdesheim über die Weinhänge mit der Kabinenbahn rauf auf den Wanderweg mit zig Ausblicken, Denkmal, Wildgehege, Gaststätten. Dann mit dem Sessellift runter nach Assmannshausen. Dort Bummel durch den anheimelnden Ort zum Schiffsanleger. Und mit dem Schiff vorbei am Mäuseturm zurück nach Rüdesheim...hey...und das für 17,50...ehrlich bitte : WO GIBT ES SO ETWAS DENN NOCH !!!! Oder haben Sie Kinder : Dann ab zum Taunus-Wunderpark...40 km Anreise und der Tag vergeht mit all den Attraktionen wie im Flug !!!! Wechselwäsche mitnehmen ;-) die Wildwasserbahn fordert schon mal ihren Tribut !!!! Und wenn man einfach nur den Fischen in 2 Teichen bei ihrem Treiben zu sehen möchte....na klar...auch das geht. ABER NICHT FÜTTERN !!!! Da gibt es nämlich Regeln ! Und noch etwas : Die Fotos lügen nicht ...Ach so, und wir sind keine Freunde von Familie Schayn...WIR SIND EINFACH NUR ZUFRIEDENE GÄSTE : Elisabeth 11 Jahre ; Greta 9 Jahre ; Oma Gitte & Opa Micha
Es unterscheidet sich sehr von den Ferienhäusern, in denen wir bislang Urlaub gemacht haben. Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt und wollten gar nicht mehr weg!
Auch die Vermieter sind sehr nette Menschen.
Wir können das Häuschen nur weiterempfehlen und werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!
