This 4-person bungalow has a living room with open kitchen (about 45m²). From the living room you have access to the terrace on the south side of the bungalow via two open doors.
The bungalow has 2 bedrooms. Both on the ground floor. The main bedroom has 2 boxspring beds with their own washbasin. Bedroom number two has 2 single beds with also own sink.
Through the hallway on the ground floor you will find the shower and toilet. The house got a new shower, toilet and laundry room in 2017. These are located in the hall.
The living room contains four separate armchairs, flat screen, radio and a fireplace. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house. Furthermore, the house is fully equipped with central heating.
The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, fridge freezer, coffee machine and a dining table for 4 people. Next to the bungalow is a barn with enough space for bicycles.
On the terrace there are 4 garden chairs with a garden table. The terrace is located on the south side. The holiday home is situated on more than 1500m2 of land, providing the necessary privacy.

Location and surroundings of object
Neighbors is the youngest of the four villages on Ameland and has a small 700 inhabitants. Neighbors are located in the middle of the island and lies most east of all villages. Further to the east are the famous Kooiduinen and 't Oerd. The Oerd is a beautiful nature reserve and has the highest dune of the island called Oerblinkert. At the foot of the dune there is a shelter and on the dune there is an information panel and an orientation table. Even more eastern lies the nature reserve De Hon. This is a beach landscape, in which many different bird species live and a variety of plant growth. Neighbors were originally the village of chasing farmers. The existence of these farmers is displayed in the Agricultural and Jutter Museum Swartwoude. The farmers did besides the farmer, including fishing, hunting and juttering. The museum shows this in the authentic farmhouse with lively performance of the farmers' lives around 1900. In addition, various beach fountains are exhibited.
Neighbors has a number of interesting sights such as the Kooiplaats and the Otter picture Rixt. This Amelander jutster lived in shipwreck and fired ships on the Amelander coast. The Kooiplaats with the Nassau duck cage is also worth a visit. Until 1930 the duck cage and the corresponding Kooikershuis were owned by the family Nassau. Neighbors has many shops, restaurants, cafes and a supermarket. Going west from Buren, one kilometer further reaches the village of Nes, the largest village of the island.

Great location, but...
The island is a dream, the location of the holiday home is great, as it is only a few meters to the beach and the property is large and offers privacy.
The house has a washing machine and dryer, the furnishings are functional.
However, in the house and throughout the property, there is a lack of care, attention to cleanliness, and simply love in some areas. On the terrace, the plastic garden furniture is worn out and weathered, the seat cushions have mold stains. Mold spots. The lighting in the house is partially defective, for example above the kitchen table, in one of the bedrooms, and in the shower, where we then changed the light bulb ourselves. Also, on the third day in the shower, the drain was so clogged that we cleaned it ourselves of hair and mud, etc., as the water was not draining at all. With the dryer, we first cleaned the lint filter and the filter; everything was full of lint and completely stuck together. In the visible gap between the refrigerator and the wall, a spider family has obviously felt at home; behind the glass panel that is supposed to serve as a splash guard for the stove, there are dead insects. The windows also seem to have not been cleaned for half an eternity. However, the fact that one still has to pay 90€ for a final cleaning gives us a lot to think about... The kitchen equipment is very meager, considering that the house is designed for four people (only six dinner, breakfast, and soup plates, as well as six spoons, knives, and forks - simply too little for self-catering, especially since the dishwasher is large and mostly runs not even half full...). All in all, for a booking price of just under €3000 for 14 days, where the gas consumption (hot water, shower, stove) is also to be paid extra, it is rather disappointing.
