In a special way, the very well furnished holiday cottage Falaboda embodies the closeness to nature at Lake Åsnen. At the end of a path, in a wonderfully quiet location, you can relax and enjoy nature. The house has a new, excellent conservatory and satellite TV when the sun is not shining. It is situated on its own lakeside plot with a western shore for guaranteed wonderful sunsets. Next to the own beach there are 2 canoes and a rowing boat with 5 hp outboard motor (prices) available to explore the nature from the water or to go fishing. (You can get a fishing permit from my caretaker). On the light, spacious property you will always find cosy, sunny and also shady places under the trees. Children can play and romp around, while adults can relax by the water. 2 bicycles are available for cycling tours

Location and surroundings of object
The house is located directly by the fish-rich lake Åsnen with a beautiful western shore. Lake Åsnen is one of the best fishing and canoeing waters with designated canoe tours in Sweden. Two canoes and an aluminium rowing boat with outboard motor are available. Around the lake are many rewarding, beautiful cycling routes. A few attractions in the vicinity are: A public lido, Kärrasand, with playground and evening cultural events is 2 km away, as is Kurrebo (garden complex) 4 km. Adventure swimming pool in Tingsryd 19 km. Golfing can be found within 50 - 80 km. Destinations for day trips are the glass manufactory Glasreich (approx. 50 km), moose country in Lagan (85 km), salmon museum (Laxhuset in Mörrum) 60 km, island Öland 130 km, Pippi & Co in Vimmerby 180 km, to the Baltic Sea (Karlshamn) 60 km, groceries in Urshult 8 km, more shopping possibilities in Tingsryd (3200 inhabitants) 19 km, or Växjö (65000 inhabitants) 50 km. The IKEA headquarters in Älmhult 55 km. The other six neighbouring houses on the peninsula are hardly noticed.

In the 115 m² house with winter garden (2013) + terrace are 3 bedrooms, the sauna, a new bathroom, a new kitchen and new fireplace (all from 2011), a hallway, the beautiful dining area and a large living room integrated.

House by the lake
A week of fishing vacation. We lacked nothing. The TV was only turned on for the start of the Euro Cup, but even then we preferred to look out the window at the lake. I would love to come back, but this time with the family.

1 week fishing holiday
We spent a great week with three men, the cottage and the location are really

A dreamlike vacation!
We were able to spend two dreamlike weeks in the super beautifully located and well-equipped holiday house in March. The view from the dining area and the conservatory is spectacular! The sauna in the house and the lake as a diving pool allow for a relaxing holiday even in early spring. We will be back, no question...

We'll be back!
It was better than we expected! The house is super large and spacious, very well equipped, down to the smallest detail. The location right on the lake, the boat is in front of the front door. Fire pit for romantics is also available. 100% recommendable!

Top house in prime location
I have been spending my holidays in Sweden several times a year for many years, and this house has definitely been one of the best so far. The location is fantastic, the view from the house over Åsnen is a dream. In addition, the house has very good facilities - nothing is missing. The house is very well-kept and the communication with the landlord and also the caretaker on site was very friendly. The house is highly recommended: Absolutely TOP!

Dreamy winter vacation
Taking a deep breath, listening to the silence, and enjoying the lake - that's exactly what we made the most of this winter! Not a person in sight, but the tracks of a moose that we followed through the wilderness. The surroundings are truly breathtaking and the house is a warm and cozy place to come home to. The boat trips on the lake were spectacular, even without fishing ;-) We really enjoyed it. Despite Corona, the journey was uncomplicated. House in a wonderful location

A house by the lake
We spent a week in this great house. Apart from the very, very good facilities, you have a fantastic view of Lake Åsnen, which is very charming even at this time of year and enchanted us. We especially enjoyed the view from the dining area. Here you can really find peace and relaxation. We always ended our extensive sauna sessions with a short dip in the lake. We also find the equipment of the beds with decent mattresses, which provided for a restful sleep, very commendable. The owners of this "gem" deserve high praise because everything is furnished with attention to detail. Communication with the landlord and the property manager was always prompt and very pleasant. This house comes highly recommended. Thank you.

Sweden like Astrid Lindgren
We are simply delighted! In early December, there were six of us for a week in Falaboda and we enjoyed every single moment. The house is very well maintained and unusually well equipped for a holiday home. We spent a lot of time in front of the fireplace and in the sauna and used the house as a base for hiking. We are completely satisfied and are already looking forward to the next vacation to jump directly from the sauna into the lake.

Eine wahre Perle
The house offers more than expected. Everything is in perfect order, clean, and well-maintained. The kitchen is fully equipped and very practically furnished. The conservatory with its fantastic view allowed us to enjoy nature even in bad weather. Very peaceful and cozy, absolute tranquility. The garden house was ideal for storing fishing equipment. The small beach is certainly very nice for swimming in the summer.

Wonderful, nature-oriented relaxation at the lake.
We, four of us, had a wonderful week of relaxation in the house. The house is equipped with extensive amenities: whether it's a sauna day, cozy time by the fireplace in the conservatory on a rainy day, or a bike ride/boat trip on sunny days; the house offers plenty of options for everything. The lakefront location is dreamy and also provides many recreational opportunities. Communication with the landlord and property manager was straightforward and friendly. Highly recommended! Beautiful hiking trails, clear mountain lakes, and stunning panoramic views await you in the region around Zell am See. A must-visit destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Fishing with friends.
We were six people fishing at Lake Äsnen. There was plenty of space for everyone. The aluminum boats with motors were great for fishing. The property, surroundings, and lake were very beautiful.

Es war super
Those who love nature will feel right at home here; I have never been to a place so quiet, with only nature and amazing animals. For those who enjoy fishing, I unfortunately didn't catch anything because the kids were too restless, but there is absolute peace there. I went with two children as my husband wasn't interested, and it was fantastic, so much so that I have already booked again for next year.

Everything for a perfect vacation
We fondly remember our stay in this beautiful house that leaves nothing to be desired. At least not for us. Everything is well thought out, functional, and explained very well.
The landscape is stunning, pure nature experience. It's not far to go shopping in Växsjö, the local museum is worth seeing, and there are plenty of cafes to choose from.

A perfect holiday in Sweden!
We stayed with six people in this wonderful holiday home - fantastically situated, lovingly and functionally furnished and looked after by lovely landlords and managers.
Our children loved the small sandy beach, the stones and of course the swing.
We went on several hikes, went canoeing or just relaxed.
We will gladly come again!

Relaxed winter days with fireplace and sauna
A really beautiful spot in Sweden! We enjoyed the peace and quiet and went hiking outside through the snow and over the frozen lake. The house is very well furnished and we wanted for nothing. The proximity to the lake is brilliant. The large windows also give the feeling of being outside in the house. This will definitely not be the last time we stay here.

The house has everything you need! Very good kitchen equipment and furniture. The location at Åsnen is unique and the peace and quiet pure relaxation. There are many activities in the area.
