Family Trautmann
Haus Ludi is a 3-storey residential house in rural Alpine style. The ground floor and the ground floor above it, the attic, are available as holiday domiciles. The basement facing the garden is rented out all year round.
On the ground floor, you reach the "Guten Stube" (living room) via an inner hallway with a "dry" wardrobe. With a tiled stove and warm wood panelling, as well as the adjoining small hunting room with fireplace, this area meets all the requirements of cosy, long winter evenings. Along the terrace facing the courtyard is the rustic dining room with bench seating and adjoining kitchen. The third door in the inner hallway leads to a toilet.
From the hallway with the "wet" cloakroom (especially for the autumn/winter season), a barefoot and sock-friendly carpeted staircase leads past the roughcast walls decorated with hunting trophies to the three bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. One room has a double bed (parents' room) and two rooms each have two single beds that can be pushed together and separated again as required (children's room, one with a balcony overlooking the courtyard). All rooms have wooden roof slopes.
The bedrooms each have a wardrobe - the furniture has a simple, rural character.
The bathroom has a toilet, shower, bathtub and two washbasins.

Not far from the Oberstdorf Alps and a few kilometres west of the Allgäu metropolis of Kempten, nestled in the enchanting landscape of the Upper Allgäu, lies Ahegg, a district of the market town of Buchenberg. Here Haus Ludi is hidden in a place that was used as a strategic point by the Romans (Ahegg Burgus, part of the Limes) in what is now a settlement surrounded by woods and meadows.
The nearest shopping facilities are between 3-8 km away - either in Kempten, Buchenberg or Wiggensbach.
A car is recommended, but there is also a bus stop at the entrance to the village about 200 m from the house.

From winter sports to hiking to summer swimming fun, including cycling, walking or jogging paths, you can find everything here almost right on your doorstep! The nearest family-friendly skiing area is only a few kilometres away in Eschach (also in the market town of Buchenberg) with easy, child-friendly slopes, a ski school and a winter sports rental shop. The nearest cross-country ski trails lead directly through Ahegg. A small, idyllic bathing lake - the Herrenwieser pond - is only a 10-minute walk away, easy hikes into the typical pre-Alpine Allgäu surroundings can start right at the house.

House to feel good
we had a very nice holiday here in the course of a family reunion in July 2021. A very quietly situated and lovingly furnished house in a small housing estate with a very well equipped kitchen, living room, patio furniture etc. as well as three fully equipped bedrooms. We often used the nearby lake. We will be happy to come back.

Summer holiday at Haus Ludi
We are a family with 2 children and spent 2 weeks of summer holiday in Haus Ludi.
The house offers enough space for the whole family, and there is nothing lacking in the furnishings.
Moreover, Ludi is typically Bavarian, cosily furnished.
The Trautmann family is very nice and is always there to help and advise, and the entire process went flawlessly.
Most of the excursion destinations can be reached by car in about 1 hour.

Cozy country house
We were four people in May for seven days at Ludi, a super well-equipped cottage in country house style. Breakfast on the terrace in the morning sun, just beautiful. The furnishings are typically Bavarian but practical and cozy. Since Ahegg is a bit off the beaten path from various shopping options, it is advisable to have a car. Small tip: the best bakery is in Edeka in Kempten. Many sights can be reached in just over an hour, from Lake Constance to Oberstdorf and Füssen. All in all, we had a nice week there despite the Corona, many things were still closed anyway, I wouldn't have walked through Neuschwanstein with a mask.
