Description
This well-maintained holiday home is located on the first floor of a two-family house, in the most beautiful villa district of Hossegor in an ideal location, namely between the lake and the sea.
The distance to the Atlantic beach is approx. 700 m, to the salt water lake 100 m. The centre of Hossegor with many shopping facilities is approx. 2.3 km away.
The holiday home has a living area of approx. 80 m2, has parquet flooring and is tastefully and modernly furnished.
The bright living and dining room with a wonderful view of the pine forest and the dunes consists of two sofa sets and satellite TV for receiving German programmes.
From there you can access the approx. 50 m2, partly covered balcony with garden furniture and loungers, from which you can look out over both the lake of Hossegor (see photo) and the dunes of the Atlantic Ocean. A barbecue is also available.
There are two bedrooms with a double bed (160 cm wide) and two single beds respectively. The bedrooms share another balcony with sea view. Bed linen is provided. Bathroom with washbasin and bathtub. WC separate.
The new, modern kitchen is very well equipped with stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher and all cooking utensils. Washing machine and dryer are available in a separate room on the ground floor.
The car can be parked in front of the house on the property.
The holiday home Entre Lac et Mer is furnished for 4 people.
The completely autonomous flat on the ground floor has its own entrance and is rented separately. A friendly caretaker occupies a separate granny flat to help you with any problems or questions.

Location and surroundings of object
The flat is located on the upper floor of a spacious 2-family house, in the most beautiful area of Hossegor, namely between the salt water lake and the Atlantic Ocean. The ground floor flat is rented separately. Due to the separate entrances, both flats are completely autonomous, without points of contact.
The privileged area between the lake and the sea is characterised by a loose development and large plots with pine trees and plenty of space to the neighbour. Some French celebrities, such as the famous singer Francis Cabrel, own a holiday home in the area. Hossegor is a well-kept place with beautiful villas directly on the sea. The kilometre-long, fine sandy beach also offers the possibility of naturism.
Directly near Hossegor is the Lac d'Hossegor saltwater lake with high and low tides, which is especially suitable for children to swim and for windsurfers.
The village is surrounded by extensive pine forests with many paths for walking and cycling. In addition, many sports are possible here: golf with 18 holes, tennis, horse riding, water skiing, kite surfing and many more.
Hossegor, however, is especially known for its outstanding conditions for surfing. International competitions are held several times a year. Many a former champion has settled here and now runs his own surf school.
The neighbouring port of Capbreton with its sailing boats and yachts, the casino and the dazzling nightlife have made Hossegor one of the most popular places on the French Atlantic coast.
The town's character has grown over the years and exudes a very special flair, a mixture of Basque and Landais architecture. Quite a few of these stylish villas of colourful half-timbering date back to the golden 20s and 30s. The many small boutiques, cafés and restaurants will enchant you! Throughout the year, you will find excellent shopping opportunities at the market, which takes place three times a week, including of course fresh fish and seafood.
The fashionable town of Biarritz is only a few minutes' drive from Hossegor. For a day trip southwards, the nearby Pyrenees or the picturesque Basque country are recommended. The pretty town of San Sebastian is also just an hour's drive away. To the north, Europe's highest sand dune (114 m) and the Bassin d'Arcachon with its famous oyster farms are worth a visit.

Since 2003, I have been the owner of the holiday home agency "Bell Vacances", which manages about 65 properties on the southern French Atlantic coast. I am personally on site every year from the end of June to mid-September to provide you with advice and support as your personal contact person on site, should the internet fail in your holiday home, the toilet flush go on strike or your French is not good enough for a table reservation in the restaurant. Every tenant receives the Bell-Vacances-XXL-, with regularly updated restaurant recommendations, excursion tips as well as personally created and tested bike tours, including GPS downloads of the various routes.
