Our holiday flat Maintalblick with 54 sqm living space, sqm terrace and beautifully overgrown steep slope garden has a spacious living and dining area with a well-equipped fitted kitchen, a beautiful bedroom with double bed and a spacious bathroom with shower and bathtub.
Due to the sofa with sleep function, there is room for up to 4 people in our holiday flat.
Enjoy your breakfast in the morning sun on the terrace or listen to the birds of the forest in the evening with a good glass of red wine.
The flat has a separate entrance, a parking space is available in front of the house.
Pets are welcome in our house!

Location and surroundings of object

Our holiday flat is located in one of the most beautiful parts of Germany:
In the wonderful Main valley, on the edge of the Steigerwald with a view of the Haßberge mountains, not far from the cities of Bamberg, Würzburg, Coburg and Bayreuth, which are always worth a visit!
Explore the Maintalradwanderweg by bike or enjoy the view on the Steigerwald-Panoramaweg, which can be reached directly behind our house.
Visit one of the cosy Franconian cellars or stop off at a Heckenwirtschaft in the wine region around the corner.
The nearest towns invite you to take a stroll through the city.
If the weather is bad, it is worth visiting the Obermaintherme in Staffelstein, which is famous for its healing brine!
Bamberg, which is only about 15 km away, also has museums worth visiting for young and old!

Dream location

Great flat, quiet and yet not far from Bamberg.
Fam. Roux is uncomplicated and very helpful.

Haunted castle with a good bed

This is unacceptable. Corona is coming to an end. But unfortunately, they forgot that guests are coming again. Bathroom is terrible (dust clouds on the ceiling area). Same in the bedroom. Sofa sagging. Kitchen not cleaned. Terrace full of weeds. Garden furniture almost ready for bulky waste. Conclusion: what was good enough for grandma is also good enough for our guests.

Wir hätten unser Möglichstes getan das Spukschloss mit gutem Bett, wie Sie es nennen, auch für Sie noch in ein Märchenschloss mit Himmelbett zu verwandeln !

Great holiday with 2 dogs

We were very warmly welcomed by the Roux family with our 2 whippets. We can definitely recommend it. A lovely location......many lovely walks with the dogs....also along the Main......delicious beer in the breweries in the area. It's also not far from Bamberg, where you can spend a great day.

Thank you again for a lovely week. We would love to come to you again!

...Valeri, Valera, let's go to the land of the Franks!

I have been on vacation in the Maintal valley for the second time with children and hunting dog. We were accommodated - also for the second time - with the Roux family.

The Roux's, who live in the same house, are extremely pleasant and hospitable. The view over the Maintal valley is fantastic. The holiday apartment is located on a hill at the end of a cul-de-sac and is therefore very quiet. There was something for all of us: cycling, hiking, swimming, hunting, fishing, grilling. Not only fathers will be delighted by the cozy taverns, beer gardens, and breweries of the region.

Franconia is a wonderful place on earth!

Problem-free dog vacation

I was warmly welcomed by Pieter and Beate Roux with my 4 Dachshunds. The apartment is well equipped, situated wonderfully secluded on a hill. There are beautiful paths for extended walks.

All around relaxing and cordial! We would love to come back anytime!

I received an extremely warm welcome from the Roux family with my dog. The days I wanted to spend there for hiking and relaxing offered me absolute relaxation. The quiet, green location on the outskirts of the village offered relaxing peace and quiet, except for the animals that one hears in the woods and fields (birds and various rustling in the bushes .... where fox and rabbit say good night, so to speak...). :-) )
I could use the beautiful terrace - besides the great view into the Main valley - for reading and dozing. The flat is lovingly equipped, kitchen, fridge, bathtub, everything you need and not too little space!
Mr. and Mrs. Roux were also very helpful and open to conversation when I had a question or we chatted about this and that (e.g. dogs :) )
I like to come back again and again, from Munich it is a perfect recreational destination, not too far away and beautiful for hiking!

Hospitality is written in capital letters here!

When we arrived in Bamberg Land, we were warmly welcomed by the Roux family.
From the beginning of our little holiday, we felt in good hands
If we needed anything or had any questions, they were always on hand to help us in an uncomplicated and caring way.
The flat is beautifully situated on a hill with a fantastic view over the Main valley.
Our children immediately felt at home on the more than spacious terrace and unpacked their toys. Even if the children were sometimes louder, no one was bothered.
There is also a barbecue on the terrace which we used almost every day and after a good meal we let the evening fade away in a wonderful silence.
If you don't feel like cooking, there is a very good restaurant within walking distance
The flat is more than sufficient for four people. It is very comfortably furnished and you really have a lot of space.
We enjoyed the few days with the family very much and thank you for your warm hospitality.

Auszeit

We felt very comfortable and can highly recommend the holiday apartment. It was a beautiful and relaxing week. The hosts are very friendly, and if you had any questions, you could always turn to them.
We wanted to escape the stressful everyday life and found exactly that here.
We will definitely be back soon.

Enttäuschend

The location of the apartment and the associated parking space are good. The issue of cleanliness is always relative. Therefore, we would like to comment on this only to some extent. The view from the bedroom window of the Main river is unfortunately hindered by many dog droppings in the garden. The planned waste disposal/separation - as described under the sink - is not possible because two bicycles are in front of it. Animals are kept between the garbage bins, which made us very sad - not a nice sight. The terrace would be a true oasis of well-being if there were comfortable and usable garden chairs. Unfortunately, the terrace furniture (two different chairs and loungers) is no longer in the condition shown. The garden is not usable because the access is overgrown. Relaxing after hiking was therefore not possible for us. In addition, there is a well-placed garden lighting that unfortunately does not work! The tableware equipment also leaves something to be desired. The coffee and dinnerware as well as the glasses consist of various, mostly chipped individual pieces. The value for money is not right here. We did not feel like guests.

Wir haben wie immer unser Bestes gegeben, Ihnen , wie auch allen anderen Gästen bei Anreise alles erklärt und gezeigt und Ihnen angeboten, sich an uns zu jeder Zeit zu wenden falls es Probleme geben sollte. Außer ihrer Nachfrage am ersten Tag nach dem WLAN , das aber ja dann innerhalb einer Stunde, von Ihnen selbst nach unserer Anleitung installiert funktioniert hat haben wir von Ihnen keinerlei negative Rückmeldung vor Ort bekommen, obwohl wir im selben Haus wohnen.
Schade, dass Sie nicht gleich ihren Unmut geäußert haben - so haben Sie uns leider die Chance genommen dazu Stellung zu beziehen oder gegebenenfalls darauf zu reagieren.
Um mit Bill Gates abzuschließen:“ Ihre unzufriedensten Kunden sind ihre beste Lernquelle“ freuen wir uns auf viele weitere Gäste in unserer Ferienwohnung die wir ohne Mühe und mit Freude vom Gegenteil ihrer subjektiven Erfahrung überzeugen können!
