A big wonderful duplex flat with a cute sunny little balcony facing the street. Nice views from the balcony of the old neighbourhood.
The location is right in the epicentre of Lisbon nightlife and of the lively trendy Bairro Alto.
The streets can be noisy from the many bars and restaurants around, but the bedrooms are facing the more quiet yard
A surprising little terrace connected to one of the bedrooms has nice views into the green little courtyard.
The dining room has a lovely skylight and is connected to a handsome minimalist kitchen.
The apartment has two bathrooms and is well suited for two couples or 6 friends if they accept to share the double beds.
Besides the 2 double bedrooms there is also a small bedroom connected to the conservatory, which has two fold out single beds
Lisbon's oldest fado-bar, Café Luso is just a few meters down the street in no 10.

The area - Bairro Alto
The 400 year old Bairro Alto area largely survived the earthquake of 1755. As it’s name indicate this part of town is situated on one of Lisbons 7 hills offering wonderful views of the city and of the river Tejo.
The area is relatively quiet at day – even more so that almost all cars have been banished from the area. Kids play ball in the street while old ladies chat and hang out the laundry.
At night it’s another story. Every weekend thousands of revellers cram into these narrow streets, hopping from bar to bar.
The Bairro Alto also have Lisbon’s largest collection of fado houses – 20 or so – which seems to have been there forever.
This part of town also houses the city’s greatest selection of gay bars and clubs.
Lisbon , Lisboa , Portugal
Lisbon sits on the north bank of the Rio Tejo, 15 km from the Atlantic Ocean, nestling beautifully among seven small hills - each with miradouros (vantage points) that offer wonderful views of the city and the river.
Lisbon's long experience of contact with other cultures in the form of exploitation, exchange, or a messy combination of the two, has marked it deeply. And after the transformations and migrations of recent years, a capital that centuries ago was a world city - perhaps the first of it's kind - is finally becoming one again.
