Beautifully situated house, pure relaxation
We enjoyed our holiday in March 2019 in Villa Amarela very much. The house is - as described - furnished in a rustic-modern style and equipped with everything you need on holiday. Also the contact with the (by the way very nice :) landlord went off without a hitch - many thanks for the many useful tips! The Lisbon surroundings are beautiful and a paradise for hikers and nature lovers. We had a very good rest and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Feel-good holiday home for nature lovers
We spent a few days in the cosy yellow house in February and are very fond of the accommodation and the surroundings. The beautiful beach Praia da Adraga is not far away (8-10min) and invites you to take a short walk through the natural landscape.
You are also surrounded by greenery and tranquillity - perfect for "winding down" after an exciting day in, for example, the capital Lisbon, which is easy to reach by bus and train even for visitors without a rental car. But there are also interesting places and sights to discover in the immediate vicinity (Sintra, Monserrate Park or Castelo dos Mouros)
The house is located just outside the village of Almoçageme, which has retained its typical Portuguese country charm. There we found, apart from a traditional café, also a mini-supermarket and on weekends even a weekly market with products from the region, which is highly recommended for self-caterers and gourmets ;)
The accommodation itself has everything you need. It is well equipped and spacious, has the necessary electric kitchen appliances and a mix of modern and rustic furnishings, which gives the house a lot of charm. The views from the bedrooms and terraces are breathtaking and even if you stay for a short time, you can enjoy your holiday to the full.

Enttäuschung:Beschreibung ist 12 Jahre alt
Nach der Bescheidung ist das Haus in einem renovierten Zustand - jedoch ist diese Beschreibung 12 Jahre her - und das Haus in einem absolut nicht guten Zustand. Das Bad im UG war nicht zu gebrauchen, da die Badewanne verstopft war und mit Farbresten zugeschüttet wurde. Handtuchhalter waren verrostet. Stühle waren teilweise defekt, im Garten waren nur billige Plastikstühle - keine Liegen.
Die Einrichtung war sehr alt und teils durchgesessen (Sofa) aber in Ordnung, wenn gleich das Geschirr teilweise deutliche Verunreinigungen aufwies.
Die Schlafräume sind für max. 6 Personen gut zu gebrauchen - aber die Betten im "Keller" und im DG sind eher nicht zu empfehlen. Im UG gab es nur ein Fenster als Oberlicht. Das WC im DG war lose und eben sehr alt.
Wir waren mit 7 Personen von der Unterkunft echt enttäuscht - die Gegend ist schön und Lissabon dennoch immer eine Reise wert - wenn auch nicht in dieser Unterkunft.

The view is great, the way to the beach is a 12 min walk with children. The way back takes a bit longer - uphill
The beach itself is fantastic! You can do a little shopping in the village without a car.

Most beautiful holiday in Portugal
There is absolutely nothing to criticise about our holiday at Villa Amarela. We spent a wonderful 2 weeks in this house and will do it again anytime. The house has a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape. There are many different leisure activities on offer. You can stroll on the beach, explore the surrounding area or if you want a bit more action, the cliffs are perfect.
It's worth it! The view is breathtaking!
The house looks very good and everything is in good condition. There is plenty of space. As a family of 10 we had no problems with space. The furnishings have no defects and are largely as good as new.
All in all, a very nice holiday and definitely worth recommending!
Ps: We were there in the winter and had expected bad weather, but were surprised with 2 weeks of continuous sunshine! :)
