2 really nice weeks with friends!

We were with 14 people in this fantastically beautiful mill and felt very comfortable from beginning to end. Probably also because of our landlords, who clarified everything imaginable for us and gave us great tips! We miss Andalusia and the magical place and will definitely come back!

5 stars are really a must here. Location, location, hospitality, weather.....everything is simply fantastic and absolutely recommendable. We spent a truly fantastic 2-week vacation there with 14 people (including 5 children) and will definitely come back.

A hidden hiking trail leads up into the Sierra de Mijas and to the chapel Ermita Virgen de la Pena, which was carved out of the rock in the 17th century by a Carmelite brother. The small sacristy made of natural stone was added in later years. The small hermitage is considered a village sanctuary and is only open one day a year at Easter. A second hermitage is located near the rural district of Osunillas. This one dates back to the 18th century. The museum of Mijas takes you into the history of the Spanish Civil War. There you can see the reconstructed staircase hiding place of civil rights activist Manuel Cortés, who hid in his house from the Franco regime for 30 years.

The village center of Mijas is one of the so-called Pueblos Blancos, the white villages that are part of the traditional landscape of Andalusia. At over 400 meters above the silvery blue glittering Mediterranean Sea, Mijas Pueblo clings to the mountain. The new districts Mijas Costa and Cala de Mijas are located on the coast near Fuengirola. The town center has preserved its old charm and houses numerous souvenir shops with "authentic" Andalusian knick-knacks. Beaches can be found directly below the town, for example, Playa Malapesquera at Benalmádena and along the ten-kilometer-long beach promenade of Fuengirola.
