Our Caribbean vacation in the Mediterranean!

This year we were again 4 adults and 4 children (0.75+2.5+10+12 years old) and shared the upper apartment. The space is more than enough!
We always had our meals in the entrance area, enjoying the breathtaking, almost kitschy view of the sea and the island.
It's also great that you don't have to bring anything because everything is available here (towels, bedding, sun loungers, umbrellas, barbecue, etc.).
No annoying carrying to the beach and no sweating!
Just enjoy and dream!

These are the most beautiful holidays in Sardinia we have ever had and we always look forward to the Columbano family and their hospitality!
We can hardly wait for our next planned vacation (unfortunately only in 2018).

The location (over the small coastal road, about 10m to the beach) is great!
Opposite there is a pizzeria with a bar (also pizzas to take away)
TOP equipped (including WiFi/wLan/satellite TV) and very well maintained
Extremely nice and friendly landlords (thanks to Marlene and Domè)
Many excursions are in the vicinity (Costa Smeralda, Porto Cervo, Baia Sardinia, Santa Theresa, Castelsardo, beaches, etc.)

Actually, I don't like to recommend the holiday home because then more and more vacationers want to come here and we might not get a free date anymore!
;-)

Ideal for: families with children, beach holidays, romantic holidays

Shopping: 1.3km to 3 supermarkets
about 2.5km to Canigione: some shops for strolling + evening market with jewelry, pictures and children's amusement park as well as some very cozy bars
very nice harbor with many yachts and sailboats, ideal for walking;
And of course, many ice cream parlors with first-class gelato!

Dream vacation

A beautiful and cozy holiday apartment that is equipped with absolutely everything your heart could desire.
We came as a couple with a 5-year-old daughter and an 82-year-old grandmother with limited mobility - and despite our large age range and therefore very different needs, we were all really happy and satisfied with what we found. That says something!!
The beach in front of the apartment is quite nice, there are also some other dream beaches within a short drive, many of which are also suitable for younger children.
The care and service provided by the landlords was exemplary, hospitable, charming, warm-hearted, supportive, and respectful.
A heartfelt thank you to the Columbano couple!
We felt extremely comfortable and will definitely come back.

Visit the sights of Olbia: The Church of Saint Simplicius was built in the 11th century from gray granite. It was once the cathedral of the city. Outside of Olbia, the remains of the Roman aqueduct Sa Rughitulla can be found. They testify to the settlement of the region in the first and second centuries AD. You can go even further back in history by visiting the Giant's Tomb Su Monte de s'Ape (Tomba di Giganti), south of Olbia. The well-preserved buildings date back to between 2200 and 1600 BC. The so-called Nuragic culture developed on Sardinia during the Bronze Age. A leap into the present is a visit to the party mile in Porto Cervo. Karim Aga Khan IV transformed the sleepy province into one of the most fashionable holiday resorts in the Mediterranean in the 1960s. Porto Cervo, the exclusive favorite destination of the international jet set, is undoubtedly the most visited and famous yacht harbor on the coast. A must for lovers of luxury!

Sardinian pasta varieties are called fregola, malloreddus, or culingionis. As a side dish, the wafer-thin and crispy flatbread pani carasau or pani pistoccu is served. Sometimes entire meals are made from it. Some specialties do come from the sea, though. Taste bottarga, which is dried roe – as pasta sauce or as a starter with olive oil and lemon.
