Pure relaxation !!!

Everything is possible here. Being on the road every day with the bike and exploring the beautiful area, just being lazy and finding a corner in the garden to read or listen to a book again, maybe even letting romance arise again and letting your legs dangle in the water with a glass of wine, or being active and enjoying nature with a boat.
You don't have to starve in this area, there is a lot on offer for the palate, going out to eat every day is possible here, but also cooking at home, the kitchen equipment allows for it.
The cottage itself is small but nice. Even in bad weather, you can spend some time here. Everything is clean and tastefully furnished.
We really felt comfortable and the famous and supposedly dangerous Spreewald mosquitoes did not bother us.
The landlords were very friendly, just as you would wish.
Many thanks for the beautiful, but unfortunately too short, time.

Paradise-like beauty

After Pentecost 2014, we spent a fantastic week at the Spreewaldhaus Libelle. Inspired by a holiday in the Spreewald, we were guided by the show "Wunderschön" on WDR 3. It is truly a great landscape and the garden of the holiday home transported us to an enchanted world. It is absolutely quiet. Most of the time, you only hear birdsong. Sometimes we found it difficult to choose between the various seating options. We could tell that the landlords lovingly maintain their property.

A narrow spiral staircase takes you to the top of the octagonal tower. Nowadays, events also take place against the unique backdrop of the Bismarck Tower. The fortress is a fortification that has been elaborately reconstructed. It also houses one of the most interesting exhibitions in the Spreewald. Fabulous Nature - in the Truest Sense of the Word

In the "Stork Village" of Dissen, you'll find a local museum with the Slavic settlement section "Stary lud," a natural history exhibition, and a village shop with a café on the Spreeauenhof. On the Schlossberghof, the ecological construction monument Weidenburg Arena Salix was erected in 2006. Between the Spreewald Rehabilitation Center, the natural area in the west, and the town center, the Spa and Legend Park spans 60,000 m². The gardens here are thematically organized - e.g., rose garden, special flower, shrub, high fields, herb, and picking gardens, or orchards. A large children's playground has also been set up here. A walking path leads past interesting sculptures from the Wendish and Sorbian legend world. This park invites you to dream in a tranquil location!

Get on the Water

Nowhere else is the network of the Spree so branched as here. On a canoe tour, you can experience entirely new perspectives by paddleboat or stand-up paddling. Especially great for kids: the paddle tour to the Barefoot Park. The nature and surroundings of Burg in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Spreewald are also suitable for a vacation with a dog. Children and four-legged friends will look forward to the great experiences in the beautiful nature and enjoy the tranquility in an ideal location. How about a bike tour along the so-called Gurkenradweg and through the surrounding villages and meadows or a hike through the beautiful biosphere reserve in Raddusch? Burg im Spreewald is a municipality in the east of Brandenburg and was recognized as a "spa town with medicinal springs" by the state in 2005. Burg is a typical quiet dispersed settlement covering an area of 35 km². It is located in the center of the Upper Spreewald, about 20 km northwest of Cottbus. Burg im Spreewald is one of the largest rural municipalities in Germany. Planning to travel by train to your vacation home or apartment? From Berlin, you can take the regional train RE2 to Vetschau. Then, continue with bus 665 to Burg. From Dresden, take the RE18 to Cottbus Central Station. From there, bus 47 is available. If you are driving, you can take the A13. At the Spreewald motorway junction, switch to the A15 towards Cottbus. After one kilometer, take the Vetschau exit. From there, it's not much further. Or you can fly: Arrive at Berlin Schönefeld Airport or in Dresden by scheduled flight.
