Let me start by saying how gorgeous and beautiful the house is. The views from the house are truly breathtakingly beautiful, fairytale-like!! Inside you can feel the history in all the rooms, so you can imagine how life used to be here. To get to the house you have to walk 1.5 km up a dirt road fairly steeply. Step foot is mandatory because otherwise you will have to deal with a very angry farmer who also lives on that road. The swimming pool, which is indeed 100 meters from the house, can be reached on foot via a steep road. The pool is perfect! Especially because you also have the garden room where there is also a toilet so that you do not always have to go up the steep mountain to the house to go to a toilet there. Although the house is really beautiful, I think it would be fair if one had mentioned in the description that showering is simply not possible because only a few drops come out of the tap at a time. For the amount you pay for 1 week (3,500 euros) you can really expect that you can take a shower. We had booked with 11 people, we immediately bought glasses and cutlery ourselves on the first day because there was not enough. For example, there was only 1 sharp knife to cut meat and vegetables. When we arrived the lady told me that it was so hot in the house that the 3 bedrooms on the top floor were actually not usable. Not handy when there are so many that you need every bedroom. I understand that there is no air conditioning in such an old house. But nowhere a fan is incomprehensible. Because it turned out that even the 2 bedrooms downstairs were too hot to sleep in. Again, the house breathes history and that's great. But if you like a bit of basic comfort, this house is not the right one to book. In general you could see that the house had a lot of overdue maintenance, leaking heaters, sockets that were hanging loose and did not work, the food elevator from the kitchen downstairs did it.
