The friendly owner drove ahead of us to the house. The ride there was tough. You must be able to drive a car well, dare to maneuver along a narrow road along depths and have a car that stands high on its wheels. The path near the house in particular has some very nasty, deep potholes. The cabin is nice, as shown in the photo. Inside there was a surprise on the table. For us, from the owner. A meat package, seasoned and dried yourself. Very friendly and attentive. My husband loved it. Everything was as described on the website. We slept wonderfully and enjoyed the wood-fired shower. We did the latter with our slippers on because there was mold in the shower tray. I'm quite French when it comes to housekeeping, but many places were missed during cleaning. Especially upstairs. We enjoyed the sound of the birds and the stream. Being able to scoop your drink from the water bowl is fantastic. Wonderfully cold. But later in the evening, when it gets chillier, you find yourself inside with a constant, loud hum. This sound comes from an electricity box. You have to throw money at it. I did not know what I saw! So inhospitable. You pay in advance for euro coins that you can then use. The doors are stuck, you have to keep pushing one back into the lead. After a few times it gets annoying. Cooking on the gas stove was a challenge because the burners sometimes would not turn on or would turn off on their own. Cooking on a wood fire, on the other hand, was a lot of fun. You have to take your time for that. But you are on holiday and it is nice and warm in the house. In short: the description is correct, the owner is friendly, the view is beautiful, but the house could use some love. And I find that humming electricity box with a slot for euro coins shockingly inhospitable.

We had a wonderful week in the heart of Carinthia. The host and the inhabitants from Pfaffenberg welcomed us warmly and showed their hospitality. In the hotel nothing was missing. The sun was our constant companion, which naturally made itself felt at the snow level. The Mölltal Glacier is a small but very nice, guaranteed snow and challenging ski area with many possibilities.
