We were thrilled how the landlord couple was available to us with good tips even before arrival, which is rare today, we can only say the best about the holiday home, the house is fully furnished and very clean. Weekly change of bed and bathroom linen, a very good price-performance ratio. We were also surprised to find a bottle of red wine and cold drinks on arrival. Shopping facilities can be found 8 km away (large shopping centre). If you prefer to go to a small shop or a small supermarket, San Benedetto is the place to be, as well as a bakery, butcher, bar, ice cream parlour, hairdressers, post office, newsagent and chemist. We used this time of year to visit the area, which is ideal from here, the sea and the mountains are within easy reach.many beautiful places to visit, such as Diamante or Scalea. The landlord worked out an individual hiking programme to Scila, which we gladly accepted. We were thrilled by the Raganello gorge and the small, beautiful village with its friendly inhabitants. The Sila mountains with their great variety of hiking possibilities, where the landlord and landlady are very knowledgeable and put together great tours, individually tailored to each guest, should also be mentioned.
We spent the evening in the Mediterranean garden with a glass of wine.
We don't want to reveal much more, because we want to find a free place for our next reservation.
We are already looking forward to the next cooking course with Loretta, where you learn a lot about Calabrian cuisine and also get valuable tricks along the way

We spent 2 weeks with the Capparelli family in the beautiful mountain village of San Benedetto Ullano. Flat 2 in the building of the Capparelli family is very well equipped, we even got a toaster if needed. The garden with table and chairs is very good for breakfast and also for dinner we could spend time outside. It is pleasantly quiet and the garden and house are very well maintained The neighbours were very nice and it was very easy to talk to them The Capparelli family spoiled us with small specialities of the country and also gave us a bottle of wine as a farewell gift and they always had an open ear and were happy to answer any questions We are very happy to have spent our holiday here and would definitely recommend these flats to others and hope that we will still be able to have a place there in the next few years. We would have loved to stay there right away

After a few turbulent days in Basilicata, we arrived in San Benedetto on June 7th to spend a quieter week in Calabria. Not only did it work out, it far exceeded our expectations. Not only is the apartment in a suburb of San Benedetto spacious, quiet and tastefully and perfectly equipped, but especially the kitchen is better equipped than many others we have encountered in numerous holidays in Italy. This is a true pleasure for a kitchen slave, to whom my wife always appoints me on vacation (of course meant ironically, on vacation I always cook with enthusiasm, especially with the excellent ingredients that can be found everywhere in Italy). The landlords, the Capparelli family, are also a delight, extremely nice and warm-hearted people, with whom we have had pleasant conversations several times, also about the history of the place, which dates back to the settlement of Albanian refugees in the 15th century. And the raspberry tart served by Mrs. Capparelli as a welcome tasted wonderful. By the way, both speak German, and if you want to use your possibly existing Italian vocabulary, you can certainly chat with the friendly gentleman next door about the advantages of a typical Italian means of transportation, the Vespa. In any case, we were very satisfied and would love to visit Loretta and Albino again sometime.
