Unfortunately, no air conditioning system, you have to be inventive. On request you get at least a fan provided. Otherwise for families with children highly recommended. There are playgrounds and a beach. The associated restaurant makes a welcoming impression. Price performance is comparable to Germany. I would go back.

The park is not large, that is not necessary for me. But I think it is a shame that the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and I regret that after a request to mow the grass at the stay after 4 days. well (grass 40 cm high with a lot of weeds in it) it is known that ticks like to live in high grass, I prefer not to suffer from that, now we have no children who play in the grass otherwise I would have left here, not mowing the grass had to do with illness of staff according to the people, well this grass has not been mowed for 4 to 5 weeks, this says a man with 44 years of gardeners and tree nursery experience, the area is nice for cycling and walking and the cottage / chalet is good m.vr.gr Bert Noordhof

The chalet was located in a beautifully landscaped holiday park, with many water features. Too bad we didn't have a view of the water, but that was an afterthought. Maybe something for next time. It was nice that there was a parking space behind the house. You weren't looking at the car that way. The garden was large and beautifully landscaped. There was sun from early in the morning until late at night, but later in the day there was also a shaded area. The kitchen was neat and functional, the bedroom had excellent beds and there was plenty of closet space. The bathroom was a bit below par, hardly any place to hang your towels, nowhere a hook and the toilet roll had to be on the floor. Also no bath mat so you stood on the wet floor after showering. There was also little space to put your toiletries. Furthermore, the house was poorly insulated. During the day it was 28 degrees, but inside it was 32!! Then we didn't have a heat wave, how hot will it get! Fortunately, the bedrooms were cool and you could later open the windows against each other and it cooled down well. Fortunately we were not bothered by mosquitoes. The area was beautiful, including Zaltbommel and Heusden we visited, we also went to Den Bosch. The Bommelerwaard is more of an area for cycling than for walking, but we walked a lot in and around the park and in the towns. Later we discovered that the ferry went to Veen on the other side and that shortened the trip to Heusden enormously. The Bommelerwaard is very worthwhile, it was nice to discover that part of the Netherlands. The restaurant was a lovely place to have a drink or eat. For shopping we went to the Jumbo in Zaltbommel or to the Albert Heijn. We were also very satisfied with the customer service. Very friendly and solution-oriented. The welcome pack on arrival was very nice! All in all, our holiday was a great success! family van der Spek, Leusden.
