Portiragnes Plage is located directly on the Mediterranean Sea and very close to the Canal du Midi. Between the villages Cap d'Agde and Valras Plage, it is a resort ideal for a family holiday. Surrounded by vineyards and a nature reserve. The apartment is located in the center of Portiragnes Plage, 80 m from the sea and close to all shops. You can easily reach everything by foot, near the summer markets, which take place 4 times a week.

Cozy, lovingly furnished accommodation close to the beach
We had a wonderful time in the cozy apartment of Mrs. Keller. This accommodation is spaciously designed and perfectly equipped to spend a nice time even with a larger family. The furnishings and decor were lovingly put together by the owners, and the large kitchen area and ample dining table invite you to stock up on delicious food and good wine from the surrounding area and prepare various meals. Those who enjoy reading or playing board games can snuggle up on a huge sofa landscape on the upper floor and make themselves comfortable there. In a gallery, there are countless books and games. The beds provided a wonderful sleeping experience, allowing us to start the day refreshed. However, the highlight for us was the large balcony, where we had breakfast every day and from which we could enjoy an invaluable sea view. We felt very comfortable and well-rested. The location of the apartment is unique: From the balcony, you can hear, smell, and see the sea, and the footpath to the beach takes a maximum of three minutes. Portiragnes Plage is a small holiday resort where you can engage in various activities during the summer season and meet your daily food needs. There are also a few restaurants and souvenir shops on site, as well as a small park and a playground. However, since we were here in the autumn, the little town had already begun to prepare for winter hibernation, and the restaurants were only open on weekends. A small grocery store and a souvenir shop directly across from the accommodation bravely held their ground, so one did not have to do without fresh croissants in the morning. The beach is a dream with huge shells and fine sand, long and wide enough for a proper dog walk or a sunbath. Directly adjacent to the beach is a nature reserve where you can observe flamingos.

Holiday in October
We really enjoyed staying in the small cozy vacation house. It was very comfortable. Especially the kitchen and the terrace. Unfortunately, many attractions were closed because it was the off-season.

Vacation in September 2023
Close to the beach and in a quiet location, this accommodation comes highly recommended. Everything is as described in the offer. In the surrounding area, there is a vast cultural offering as well as various sports and shopping opportunities. Very nice and always helpful contact with the owners.

Wer gern liest oder Gesellschaftsspiele spielt, der kann sich im Obergeschoss auf einer riesigen Couchlandschaft einkuscheln und es sich dort behaglich machen. Auf einer Galerie finden sich unzählige Bücher und Spiele.
Auf den Betten konnte man wunderbar schlafen und erholt in den Tag starten.
Das Highlight für uns war allerdings der große Balkon, auf dem wir jeden Tag gefrühstückt haben und von dem aus man einen unbezahlbaren Meerblick genießen konnte.
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und gut erholt.
Die Lage der Wohnung ist einmalig: Vom Balkon aus hört, riecht und sieht man das Meer und der Fußweg zum Strand dauert maximal drei Minuten.
Portiragnes Plage ist ein kleiner Ferienort, in dem man innerhalb der Sommersaison allerhand unternehmen und den täglichen Bedarf an Lebensmitteln decken kann. Auch ein paar Restaurants und Souvenirläden gibt es vor Ort sowie einen kleinen Park und einen Spielplatz.
Da wir jedoch im Herbst hier waren, hat sich das Örtchen bereits ein wenig auf den Winterschlaf vorbereitet und die Restaurants hatten lediglich am Wochenende geöffnet. Ein kleiner Lebensmittelhändler und ein Souvenirshop direkt gegenüber der Unterkunft hielten jedoch tapfer die Stellung, so dass man morgens nicht auf frische Croissants verzichten musste.
Der Strand ist ein Traum mit riesigen Muscheln und feinem Sand, lang und breit genug für eine ordentliche Hunderunde oder ein Bad in der Sonne.
Direkt an den Strand grenzt ein Naturschutzgebiet in dem man Flamingos beobachten kann.
Leider hatten, da es in der Nebensaison war, viele Attraktionen geschlossen.
Man merkt sofort, dass die Besitzer dort selber leben. Tolle Ausstattung. Das Internet funktionierte problemlos. Das Wetter im Oktober belief sich immerhin auf 24° bis 27° in der Sonne! Die Wassertemperaturen lagen zwischen 16° und 18 °. Wir waren im Wasser und es war herrlich. Die Umgebung bietet sehr viele schöne Besichtigungsmöglichkeiten. Ein Auto ist jedoch unerlässlich, weil die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten nicht in der Nähe sind, zumindest keine Supermärkte. Die Geschäfte nahe der Wohnung sind total überteuert und zielen auf das Portemonnaie der Touristen ab. Auch die Restaurants am Strand sind kostspielig. Jedenfalls aus unserer Sicht. Aber das muss jeder für sich selber entscheiden.
