A passenger boat drives directly to the center of Zadar so you do not need to go by car or bus - you are directly in the center of the old city of Zadar. There you can spend a good day, visit monuments, churches, go to the sea organs, go shopping or make excursions by boat.
After visiting the town you will return to Ugljan and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the village and the clean and clear sea on the island.

Village Ugljan is located on the island of Ugljan in Northdalmatia.
The nearest beach from the apartment takes 8 minutes walk.
In Ugljan there are various beaches: sandy, pebble, rocky and it is good to visit all the beaches because each is beautiful in its own way.
Ugljan has several hills and peaks to visit: Šćah 286 m, Mihovil 263 m, Kobiljak 200 m, Kuran 150 m.
These peaks offer magnificent views of Ugljan Island, the sea, other islands and the coast.
There are also bike lanes, so you can actively enjoy the island and get to know it.
Close to the famous city of Zadar, which is worth a visit. There are a lot of churches and historical monuments in Zadar.
There are several good restaurants and pizzerias, night bar on the beach in the town of Ugljan. One can visit the Monastery of St. Jerome that was built in 1430. that is located along a beautiful sandy beach.
It is possible to rent a bike in the place.
It use to be smaller music concerts and various other cultural events in Ugljan. The first Saturday of the August is the famous Ceprljanda festival - night fishing, 15. 08. celebrates the Assumption of Saint Mary and it is the largest event in Ugljan. Also, in other places on the island of Ugljan there are other smaller fun in open.
Places on the island of Ugljan are well connected. The bus are driving throughout the island. The island with the mainland is also well connected. In Zadar, there are airport and bus station. There is a direct bus line Ugljan - Zagreb (Croatian capital) in the main summer season, as well as the line Zadar - Zagreb. Possible excursions by boat to the Ugljan are to Kornati and Dugi Otok. Ferry and passenger ship from Zadar to Ugljan and vice versa sails every day almost every hour, takes 20 minutes.
The summers are warm, sometimes hot. The rest of the year, especially spring and autumn are suitable for cycling, island tours and relaxation.
June at sea is good for holidays when there is peaceful, fewer people and you can then enjoy the longest days,
swimming, walking.
September at sea is especially good for a quiet holiday as it is less crowded, the sea can still be warm and good to swim, the air temperature is still high, mild and the person can stay longer in the sun, go for a walk and be more active.
