The 45 m² log cabin offers:
* enough space for up to 3 people,
* cosy living room with sitting area,
* small, well-equipped kitchen open to the living room,
* Bedroom for 2 persons with double bed (1.40 m),
* Sleeping loft for 2 persons with 2 mattresses (each 2m x 1m),
* Bathroom with shower and WC,
* Terrace with garden furniture,
* very large (fenced) garden with barbecue area and sunbathing lawn,
* wooden sledges in winter,
* 2 car parking spaces on the property
The holiday home is not barrier-free.
Special features:
We deliberately do not use large electrical appliances (TV and dishwasher) in our nature-oriented holiday home.
There is also no Wi-Fi, but there are lots of board games.

Can I book fewer nights?
Yes, but four nights is the lower limit.
Are there fixed weekdays for arrival and departure?
No, arrival and departure is possible on any day of the week.
Can I bring my pet with me?
We love animals, but not in our house. Therefore, please no requests with pets!
What additional costs will I have to pay?
The overnight prices are final prices and include all additional costs such as electricity, water, heating.
We also cover the costs for the final cleaning for bookings of 5 nights or more.
For a booking of 4 nights, the final cleaning costs 80,- €.
You are welcome to bring your own bed linen and towels or book them separately (€ 15 per person and stay).
For bookings of 7 nights or more, we take over the costs for the final cleaning! Does not apply!

Our log cabin is located on the outskirts of Gillersdorf in the Thuringian Forest.
Due to its wonderful location directly in a large garden, relaxation after sporting activities or excursions is guaranteed
The cabin is suitable for guests who are looking for peace, relaxation and nature and is an ideal starting point for excursions.
It is located on the south-eastern ridge of the "Langer Berg" near the forest, between Schwarzatal and Rennsteig.

Thuringian log cabin
It was another week of very good relaxation in the lovingly furnished log cabin.
We wanted for nothing. The hosts have simply thought of everything. The garden is beautifully designed. The people of Gillersdorf are all very friendly and we always recommend a trip to the neighbouring village of Dröbischau to the Landgasthof Kemter. They probably serve the best Thuringian dumplings.

Der Landgasthof Kemter in Dröbischau ist in jedem Fall empfehlenswert. Ja, dort gibt es sie noch, die guten selbstgemachten Thüringer Klöße. Man kann vom Blockhaus direkt starten und über den Pilzsteig am Waldesrand nach Herschdorf und von dort weiter nach Dröbischau wandern. Einfach sind es gut 6 km. Mit dem Auto geht's natürlich auch ;-).

successful family holiday
Everything was just right here. I can only agree with the other reviews. Small but nice. Everything you need is here, every detail has been thought of. Everything is new and well maintained. We would stay in this cosy log cabin again at any time. The children of course found the sleeping gallery the coolest ;-)
