This spacious, sunny holiday home is located on the first floor of a detached 2-family house between Ostend and De Haan. The large garden is fenced and not visible. The ground floor flat is rarely occupied by the owners as a holiday home, so the house is almost always occupied by the holiday guest alone. There is a private parking space in front of the house. You can store your own bicycles in the garden house. For the little ones there is a travel cot with extra thick mattress, high chair and many games

Location and surroundings of object
The holiday home is 800m from the beach. The coastline of Bredene is unique. Since there is no promenade, the 4km long sandy beach naturally merges seamlessly into the dunes. The Flemish coastline combines 67km of beach pleasure with a mild maritime climate, clean water and iodine-rich air. The De Lijn coastal tram is the ideal means of transport for exploring the 67 km coastline. It connects 13 seaside resorts from the French border De Panne to the Dutch border Knokke. The journey can be interrupted at will with the day ticket. The Polderland makes for great cycling trips. Bredene is also a great starting point for numerous explorations. The lovely city of Bruges is only 15 km away. Ghent is a highlight for art lovers. Ostend is still - even on Sunday - the absolute shopping mile. There are many attractions for children along the coast: Sea-Life in Blankenberge, Sea-Front and submarine tour in Zeebrugge, Earth-Explorer and Fort Napoleon in Ostend. A beautiful nature reserve is Het Zwin in Knokke-Het Zoute. A detailed information folder is in the flat.

Perfektes Familien-Apartment
We spent two weeks in August 2020 at Landhaus Carpe Diem, and the vacation met our expectations fully, despite the Corona situation.
Apartment:
We felt well cared for by the Stühlen family from the beginning. The apartment was a pleasant surprise as it was well-equipped and furnished with great attention to detail. We especially liked the children's room with two separate beds, which was decorated in a child-friendly manner with lots of toys and decorations. Even the way to the staircase can be secured by a door with child safety protection.
Bredene and surroundings:
Great beach and great location. You can walk to the beach from the house in about 10 minutes. There is plenty of space on the beach and a nice beach bar. If you want some variety, you can drive to Oostende or De Haan by car, bicycle (bicycle with child seat available) or the coastal tram. Both places have their own charm. Corona:
We hardly felt the restrictions imposed by the local Corona measures, as they are similar to those in Germany. It made no difference at the beach or in the apartment anyway.

Highly recommended, had a good rest!
A very well-maintained and cozy holiday apartment equipped with today's zeitgeist. We (2 adults, 2 teenagers) always looked forward to our cozy accommodation with the Stühlen family after daily excursions to places like Bruges, Brussels, De Haan, or simply to the great fine sandy beach. Perfect for families with small children as there is a baby bed with a small mattress and plenty of children's toys and games available. The garden also had everything we needed.
