Also, the spacious kitchen from which stairs lead to the upper floor.

Do you dream of vacationing in a place where you can leave all the daily stress behind, simply switch off and "decelerate"?

Here, at the end of a small dead-end street by the forest edge, where the fox and the hare say goodnight, it is possible! ! ! Your beloved four-legged friend will also appreciate the fenced garden, where they can wander all day long and sniff for rabbit tracks, while you enjoy nature with a glass of wine and an exciting book, or play a game of boules on the private boules court.
Here, no barking of dogs, no children screaming. It is swallowed up by the vastness of the landscape. 3 km away is the nearest small village, Montchamp, where you can buy the essentials for your supplies.
Fresh baguette and croissants are also available there daily.
In the village, we also have a car repair shop, a post office, and a hairdresser to offer.

The nearest larger shopping town is Vire. There, you will find everything you need.

The most popular destinations for our guests are distributed radially in all directions.

Certainly, the MONT ST. MICHEL to the west is a highlight. MICHEL, a World Heritage site, the most photographed object.
To the north are the LANDING BEACHES and BAYEUX with the famous tapestry depicting the conquest of England by William the Conqueror.

To the west lies the city of CAEN, which radiates a special flair with its sandstone facades.
Also there, for those interested in history, is the Memorial Museum, which recalls the events of World War II. To the south, there are smaller villages, such as the medieval DOMFRONT, or MORTAIN with its cascades (waterfall).

The list of major and minor attractions is too long to list everything here!
It's better to discuss everything on site ;).
We both speak German, and are happy to give you advice on your holiday planning - tailored personally to you! Other popular family activities include canoeing, climbing, summer tobogganing, barefoot paths, or a lazy day at one of the region's extensive beaches.
We are happy to help you organize if you have a little trouble with your French.
For rainy days, there are games available in the house. There are also books for both old and young.

Deceleration

We experienced a very, very beautiful vacation week. Completely burned out from the everyday life of the last months, we arrived. Completely recharged and well-grounded, we departed 10 days later. We owe this to the nice, accommodating hosts, the perfectly furnished house, the quiet, nature, and much more. Thank you very much, Andrea and Georg. We plan to come back next year. Again, a great vacation the second time!

We were now for the second time in Andreas and Georg's beautiful stone house during the autumn holiday. Even though the weather was a bit more mixed than last year, we were able to spend a lot of time outdoors thanks to the covered terrace. The children and the dogs celebrated their reunion with the garden and the animals in the neighborhood! Thanks to the great amenities of the house and the warm hosts, we had a wonderful and relaxing holiday! We will definitely come back and enjoy your Calvados and apple juice until then!

3 weeks of dream vacation

The house is a wonderful old stone house, which is typical in Normandy. Inside, it is very cozy and comfortably furnished with everything you need. The garden is a dream, and when it rains, you can still sit outside on the covered terrace. The house and garden are also ideal for dogs. The garden is fenced in a dog-friendly way, and you can go for walks directly from the house. We were warmly welcomed by the hosts and were able to spend 3 wonderful weeks there. We will return as soon as possible.

Always very happy to do it again!

Our stay at Ferienhaus Lorbeere was once again fantastic. The house impresses with its perfect equipment, which leaves nothing to be desired and covers all daily needs. The landlords are extremely attentive and helpful, which always makes our stay special. We have been coming here regularly for several years now and always feel warmly welcome.

The surroundings of the holiday home are inviting to enjoy nature to the fullest. There is ample opportunity for hiking and relaxation. The location of the house proves to be an ideal starting point to explore the beauty of Normandy. For us, who seek peace and relaxation, it is always a pleasure to return here. We definitely plan to come back.

A place to relax!

We spent a wonderful week in the well-equipped holiday home with 3 generations and 2 dogs. Thanks to the mild October weather, we were able to enjoy the beautiful garden with its large terrace extensively. It's great that the garden is completely fenced in, so dogs and children can roam around there without any problems.

Thanks to the quiet location of the house, we were able to relax well and enjoyed not being woken up by street noise in the morning, but rather by the bleating of the sheep and the crowing of the rooster. For the children, it was nice to feed the horse of the homeowners with apples, make a fire in the fireplace, and they enjoyed the apple juice "à la maison" very much!

Thank you very much for the wonderful time! We would love to come back!

Wonderful/beautiful

The area is beautiful. Hills, valleys, forests, meadows, villages, streams, many hedges, wide views. Quiet, idyllic, relaxed, generous, la France profonde. The house is just the same and fits wonderfully with it!

Holiday in a small paradise

Chill mode on

We had a peaceful and good week with dog. The dog could move freely on the grounds, as they are completely fenced in. You can go for a walk directly from the house. The house is very comfortably furnished and the kitchen is equipped with everything your heart desires. You can explore many sights by car. There is a small grocery shop in the village for small purchases and fresh baguettes for breakfast. And the homemade cheese of the hosts is also highly recommended. We felt very comfortable and will repeat our holiday at the Lorbeere.

Relaxation in the midst of nature

Even though our dogs kept us on our toes with emergency vet visits (at this point, many thanks to Andrea for her help), we enjoyed the week. The dogs and of course we had a lot of fun going for walks in the surrounding area and the rides into the surrounding countryside were also exciting. There was never a dull moment and there was definitely plenty of relaxation.

Rest and recreation

Haus Lorbeere with its large idyllic garden is a place of peace and relaxation. While we decelerated in our hammocks, our dog could explore the fenced garden. The view from the heights is breathtaking.
The equipment of the house leaves hardly anything to be desired, everything is clean, the bathrooms are super and we were able to prepare many a delicacy in the kitchen.
Even when the Herten family were on their well-deserved holiday, they were available to us by phone and gave us advice.
Within an hour's drive from Montchamp you can explore many places, such as Mont-Saint-Michel, Bayeux, cycling in the Orne valley or the wonderful beaches in Quistreham.
We had 14 wonderful days and can only recommend the house.

Super!

Haus Lorbeere is a cosy accommodation where you can feel very comfortable.
The kitchen and the house are well equipped, you can cook and bake. There is also a washing machine. We were able to slow down and really enjoy our holiday with dog in the natural area. There are plenty of attractions in the surrounding area if you feel like it; markets, exhibitions, museums, walking routes, the sea, etc
We would come back at any time.

Oasis of peace

14 days of relaxing vacation at Andrea and Georg's were so lovely that we hardly wanted to leave the house and the immediate surroundings. My husband and I, including our dog, felt completely comfortable and well taken care of.

Simply amazing!

Where to go in the "Corona summer" 2020? Spontaneously, we chose this quiet holiday home in absolute seclusion and did not regret it: We were greeted by a wonderful house full of atmosphere, a beautiful, fenced garden with fantastic views, a covered terrace, and plenty of space for the dog to run around. The location is great for small and large hikes and all kinds of excursions, such as to the landing beaches, Bayeux, or Mont St. Michel. The well-equipped accommodation is highly recommended in every respect, not least because of the warm landlords and their delicious farm products. We are already looking forward to next summer - this time for three weeks!

Quiet and relaxed days on the island of Sylt.

I had some very relaxing days at the holiday home Lorbeere. The location is ideal for visiting the various sights of Normandy. The holiday home itself is wonderfully equipped and lacks nothing. The large garden, with its fantastic distant view, invites you to relax. The hosts are very attentive and I will gladly come back.

Sehr schönes und gemütliches Ferienhaus

We spent our short break over New Year's with our dog here. We found optimal conditions. The previous arrangements with the landlords were flawless and very friendly and accommodating. The house is very well equipped and once the fireplace is lit, a cozy and comfortable feeling sets in very quickly. You can take very nice walks from the house or even plan extensive hikes. The landlords are very helpful in everything and exceptionally nice. We will definitely come back.

Sehr familienfreundlich

We felt very comfortable in the holiday home with our two small children. The furnishings are very good. It is very cozy and the hosts are very friendly and easy to reach. Our sons really enjoyed the fenced garden, the swing, and the many toys. Shopping facilities are easily accessible by car.

Schöner Urlaub

Beautiful house in a quiet location and beautiful landscape. The garden is completely fenced, so ideal for dog owners as well. We had everything we needed there. The farm products were also delicious.

Wonderful peace and quiet in a beautiful landscape for humans and animals!

We stayed at the Lorbeere holiday home for the second time and enjoyed our time there very much. Our dogs found the garden super, they could play and romp there. Breakfast on the terrace, dinner with vegetables, salad and cider from the farm that the friendly hosts run next door - pure relaxation! We can only recommend this holiday home!
