Description

Corsican lifestyle with sea view
A place to breathe, arrive, and feel good: This house in typical Corsican style is situated on a beautiful hillside with a breathtaking view over the Gulf of Porto-Vecchio and the sparkling Tyrrhenian Sea.
Inside, you will find three cozy bedrooms, a spacious living area with open kitchen, a bathroom, and a separate toilet. All rooms are air-conditioned – perfect for warm summer days. For relaxing evenings, there is German-French television and fast Wi-Fi. A dishwasher is available in the kitchen, and a washing machine in a separate storage room. The windows are double-glazed and equipped with mosquito screens – thoughtful and comfortable.
Two secluded terraces offer plenty of privacy – whether for breakfast in the sunshine, reading in the shade, or a glass of wine in the evening. The large garden opens up a wide view of the sea – a place to linger and enjoy.
A secure parking space on the property is also available. Those who enjoy swimming can also refresh themselves in the large pool on the grounds.
It is only about a 5 to 10 minute walk to the sea – ideal for a spontaneous stroll to the water or a morning swim in the crystal-clear Mediterranean.
From time to time, we are away ourselves – and during this time we are happy to offer our home to people who truly appreciate peace, nature, and the special lifestyle of Corsica!

A lovely, comfortable house in a great location

The villa, set within a private, secure residential complex and ideally situated on the Palombagia peninsula, is both the perfect base from which to explore the Porto-Vecchio area and a lovely place to relax and enjoy the stunning views of the sea, the swimming pool, the terraces and the nearby coast.
Without being over the top, it’s the sort of holiday home we love: easy to look after and practical. Fitted out with good quality equipment like for example good air-conditioning , it offers a high level of comfort.
The owners, who sometimes live in the adjoining house, are lovely and are always happy to share their top tips on the region on request.
We wholeheartedly recommend the villa and will certainly be returning soon!
Thank you very much for your hospitality and for giving us the chance to enjoy such a lovely family holiday.

A beautiful place to arrive, unwind, and feel good ❤️

We were now already for the second time in Corsica and felt completely at home again in this beautiful vacation apartment. The accommodation, the dreamlike view, and of course the wonderful pool offer everything one could wish for a relaxing and restful holiday.

The entire atmosphere invites you to simply switch off, find peace, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We felt comfortable and welcome from the very first moment – almost like at home. The farewell was incredibly difficult for us this time as well. We would have preferred to extend our stay by a few more days. ? That speaks for itself!

Even though our children (15 and 17 years) would like to discover something different, it is clear to us: We were definitely not on Corsica for the last time! Whoever is looking for a special place for a relaxing vacation, values a beautiful accommodation, a dreamy view, and a pleasant atmosphere, will definitely feel at home here. And the really great pool is an absolute highlight for us. An absolute recommendation – we would come back anytime! ❤️

House with a dreamlike view

The house has a great location in a quiet and relaxed residential area, 15 minutes by car to Porto Vecchio and 10 minutes to the dreamy sandy beach of Palombaggio. We especially liked the beautiful view from the terrace of the sea and the bay of Porto Vecchio.

A perfect family vacation!

We spent 11 nights in this wonderfully quiet holiday home. The owners greeted us warmly and provided us with valuable and helpful tips. The house was spotlessly clean and the kitchen was fully equipped (all important cooking utensils for delicious cooking or grilling, a large refrigerator, oven, coffee machine, microwave etc.) It offered plenty of space for two adults, 2 teenagers, and a dog - and a large and well-maintained pool for swimming and cooling off. If you don't want to go to the Caribbean beaches nearby (10 minutes by car, 30 minutes on foot), you can simply enjoy the house, the beautiful garden, the tranquility, and the pool. Have breakfast, dinner or read a book on the terrace while enjoying the magnificent view of the sea and mountains in the bay of Porto Vecchio - it was fantastic! Corsica and especially Porto Vecchio and the surrounding area offer many other exciting activities (hiking in the Bavella mountains, swimming spots, beautiful beaches, snorkeling and diving, etc...). We took a diving course at a nearby diving school - a great experience in the crystal-clear sea among large schools of fish and with super nice diving instructors! In our opinion, the perfect holiday address to enjoy and discover Corsica! We can highly recommend the holiday home and look forward to coming back soon!

Wonderful apartment with a great view location

We were five in the vacation rental for one week and really enjoyed the location, the beautiful view from the terraces, and of course the pool. For us, it was a perfect vacation rental. A car is important for shopping and outings due to the lack of infrastructure, but it is absolutely quiet. Contact with the landlady was always friendly and prompt. We can wholeheartedly recommend the accommodation.

Semi-detached house in a great, quiet location!

We were a total of six people in the holiday house for a week and really enjoyed our time there! The house is very quiet and only a few minutes away from a great snorkeling spot. It's also great that the house has air conditioning in all rooms.
The house has a fantastic view that we enjoyed every day!
We were able to use the pool, which is located on the owners' property, but as stated in the description, we are not allowed to stay there. The path from the pool to the terrace is short, but it cannot be seen from the rented house, so if you have children, you have to go with them to the pool.
In this price category, we had imagined a few things differently: we had the feeling that discarded things found a place in the rented house, for example, the old black leather sofa, there was not enough, continuous tableware for 6 people, promotional mugs with broken handles, etc.
The owner of the house was very friendly and gave us great tips for restaurants in the area!
We would come back anytime!

Wir hatten anfänglich das Haus mit einem sehr schönen Geschirrservice und auch höherwertigen Möbeln ausgestattet. Leider hat sich herausgestellt, daß einige Gäste diesbezüglich nicht die gleiche Sorgfalt wie bei sich zuhause an den Tag legen: Ein Sessel wurde von einem Hund zerbissen, das Sofa bekam immer mehr Flecken, die sich kaum noch entfernen ließen, und wurde schließlich durch herumhüpfende Kinder zerbrochen. Beim Geschirr ist es ähnlich: Nach jeder Saison sind mindestens ein halbes dutzend Gläser, Teller oder Becher zerbrochen. Bei den Franzosen ist es üblich, eine Mietkaution zu hinterlegen. Beim Auszug wird eine Inventur gemacht (insbesondere bei Familien mit Kindern) und jedes Teil in Rechnung gestellt. Uns ist das zu mühselig, dafür ist es auch nicht schlimm, wenn mal ein Teller oder Glas kaputt geht, das passiert gerade bei Kindern immer wieder mal.
Wir haben den Fokus mehr auf die Technik gelegt: Deutsche Elektroinstallation, Vollklimatisation, elektrische Rolladen und Markise, Glasfaser-Internet etc. Man muß Prioritäten setzten.....

Great sea view in a quiet location

Very well-equipped, spacious holiday home in a great location. The view from the terrace is awesome. Within walking distance, there is good access to the sea with clear, clean water, but no sandy beach. Water shoes are recommended. We went there with the stand-up paddleboard. The most beautiful sandy beaches can be reached in a few minutes by car. The contact with the landlords in advance and on-site was top-notch. Very friendly, courteous, and helpful.

Fantastic house in a fantastic location

We stayed in the house in summer 2018 with 4 people and enjoyed the fantastic view and the Mediterranean ambience for 12 days. As the house is equipped with 3 bedrooms, another couple could easily stay there.

If you want to jump onto the beach from your hotel room, you are in the wrong place. There are a few possibilities to get to the sea on foot or to the beach via a neighbouring campsite. For us, this was sufficient. We drove a few times by car to various other beaches and got the sufficient dosage of sand, many people, a lot of sun, ... ..

We will gladly spend one of our holidays there again.

Beautiful holiday

Great holiday home in a quiet location with generous facilities not far from Porto Vecchio, super view from the terrace, even better than on the photos, the enclosed complex and the fenced property give even anxious people a safe feeling, good starting point for trips to the Bavella and beautiful beaches, also the impressive Bonifacio is easy to reach, the pool also offers a welcome cooling, the landlords / owners are very friendly and helpful, a great experience was the joint boat trip, we felt very comfortable there and also very welcome during the time the landlords were present, everything is possible - rest, relaxation, adventure, sports, ... another holiday in the Sophie holiday home is more than likely!!!

Very relaxed and beautiful shores on Lake Garda.

Spacious, well-maintained holiday home with a beautiful pool in a quiet location, far from the hustle and with a splendid sea view from the terrace. Nevertheless, the cities of Porto Vecchio and Bonifacio can be reached after about 20 minutes by car. There are good shopping opportunities as well as restaurants and clubs for going out. Also, after a short drive, you can reach some of the most beautiful beaches in Corsica (Palombaggio) with very fine white sand and shallow turquoise water. From the holiday home, you can reach a narrow rock and pebble beach on foot, which is great for snorkeling and near the holiday club "La Chiappa," where you can practice various water sports, including catamaran sailing and windsurfing. There is also a highly recommended diving school on the club grounds. The friendly landlords were always approachable and happily provided us with restaurant and excursion tips. We really enjoyed our vacation in this holiday home and will definitely come back here again.

A totally successful holiday.

We have spent a week here, relaxing wonderfully, and as a highlight, we were able to regularly end eventful days in the evening on the terrace above the holiday home with a magnificent view over the bay of Porto-Vecchio. Beforehand, we cooled off in the large pool. The interior of the house is also very nice, with an open kitchen equipped with everything you need, a comfortable bed, very clean and tastefully decorated. We hardly needed the travel guide we brought with us, as the owner was present during our stay and provided us with plenty of useful tips for our day trips. Two more days at the nearby Palombaggia Beach complemented our holiday program perfectly - sand, sun, water - in a fantastic environment. We will be back!

Nature and pure sun!

Holiday at its best: Carefully and authentically renovated holiday home, comfortable for living and sleeping (very good beds!), Luxury without showing off, suitable for 6 people. Very private, quiet atmosphere, fantastic panoramic views of the bay of Porto Vecchio, the lighthouse of La Chiappa, and the open sea – even more beautiful than in the photos ;-) Large pool with absolutely top water quality, very skin-friendly! Very clean sandy beaches (Palombaggia) for swimming, water sports. . . Classy rocky beach within walking distance for snorkeling. Perfect Wi-Fi for when work calls during vacation. Nice and reliable contact with the landlord providing many helpful tips and local contacts. Have already recommended the house to our friends and look forward to coming back ourselves. THANK YOU!
