Description

The chalet "Plein Soleil" was built in the style of a traditional Valais chalet, mainly of wood, and offers space for relaxation and socialising for up to six people on two floors in a very original and natural atmosphere. The chalet is also regularly used by us on holiday. The house and the spacious outdoor area (approx. 600m²) are therefore very well maintained.

Nature and its preservation are fundamentally very close to our hearts. To make a small contribution to this, our chalet is supplied with 96% electricity from renewable energy

Benefit from rental prices in EUR. Our holiday chalet is optimally equipped for self-catering. Bed linen and towels are not provided.

Location and surroundings of object

The Fereinhaus is in a very quiet location on the outskirts of Zinal with a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. It is easy to reach by car in summer and winter (in winter, good winter equipment for the car is recommended for the whole of the Valais).

A parking space for 2 cars is directly at the house. The car park is cleared of snow by a snowplough in winter.

The Val d`Anniviers region is very snow-sure.

The holiday chalet is bright, spacious and modernly equipped.

Since 2016, the Commune d`Anniviers obliges landlords to collect and pay the visitor's tax to the municipality. The tourist tax is calculated by me according to the current seasonal rates of the municipality. These are set by the municipality and must be paid for adults and children from the age of 6

Landlords do not earn money from the collection of the visitor's tax! This is paid by me to the municipality.

additional information:

The Valais resort of Zinal lies at 1670m in the Val d'Anniviers.

The original village is surrounded by the majestic mountain scenery of the '4000er-Kaiserkrone' of Weisshorn, Zinalrothorn, Obergabelhorn and Dent Blanche.

A small supermarket (also with very good regional products), sports shops and of course restaurants are available in the village.

Top house in Zinal

We had 3 fantastic weeks in Plein Soleil.
Everything you need is in the house.
Fantastic view of a waterfall, glacier, cable car, and the beautiful mountains.
The supermarket in Zinal has everything you need, wide range.
You can walk to the bus that takes you for free throughout the "Val de Anniviers."
We were with 4 adults. There was a bit too little seating in the living room. 1 bench and 1 chair. But with the outdoor chairs, everyone could still sit comfortably and relax after a long day of walking.
The beds were excellent.
Around the cottage, it was very quiet; the only thing we heard was the jingling of the cowbells.
This house is really a recommendation.

Let the soul dangle

We have stayed in many chalets before, but never in one as tastefully decorated as the Plein Soleil, which is fortunately located outside the busy centre.

The living area offers plenty of space, the bedrooms are spacious, the bathroom and toilet are modern.
The natural garden is fantastic: spruces and pines provide excellent privacy, but are only kept just high enough to allow unrestricted views of the mountains. In this large garden on 2 levels, one's heart sinks.
Communication with the landlord was cordial.

Relax, unwind and exercise

At 1700m above sea level with a view to the west, you can relax wonderfully, enjoy nature at the same time and conquer the mountains from the front door.

We liked the chalet very much! We (2 adults) came in and immediately felt very comfortable (also the dog). The chalet is fully equipped - there are also lots of games. We did not miss anything.
After long hikes or mountain bike tours we enjoyed the garden and the terrace until the evening.
It is very quiet, but still close to the small town.
You can start from the house, on foot, for hikes and also to the mountain railway.
The valley offers many great hiking possibilities. View of the 4000m peaks from the terrace

Beautiful chalet

Nice location, just a bit far if you have to ski to the village every morning and back up in the evening. Car with four-wheel drive or snow chains required. The chalet is spacious and well equipped and we felt very comfortable!

Es war dieses Jahr ein extremer Winter in Zinal. Ich lasse immer den Parkplatz am Chalet und den Zugangswege/Treppen zum Chalet räumen. Sehr viel Schnee, und teilweise große Kälte & Eis, machten es diesen Winter allerdings nicht einfach in Zinal mobil zu sein, ob zu Fuß oder mit dem PKW. Aber dafür wurden alle Zinal-Urlauber mit einer traumhaften Winterlandschaft und besten Skibedingungen belohnt!

Die direkten Fußwege vom Chalet in das Dorf waren, als ich selbst Anfang März im Chalet war, tief verschneit und kaum auffindbar. Die Straßen waren aber sehr gut geräumt und gut befahrbar.

Gute Winterbereifung und Schneeketten sollten allerdings in solchen Bergregionen über 1.600m Höhe im Winter immer zur Standartausrüstung beim PKW gehören. Vielen Dank für Ihren Hinweis.

Holiday in the mountains

This summer, our trip to Switzerland took us to a small, rustic, cosy chalet in Zinal. We can only recommend this chalet, which gave us an unforgettable view of the snow-covered glaciers every morning. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. If you don't want to hike from the bottom of the mountain, take the next cable car (free with the spa card) and float up to the top. The panoramic view alone is worth the trip. You feel magically drawn to the mountains, and after wonderful tours you can enjoy a cool wine or beer around the campfire at the Chalet Plein Solei. Accompanied by a grilled piece of meat from the barbecue, all is right with the world. If it was too chilly to go outside in the evening, a fireplace in the house provides crackling warmth. In Zinal and the surrounding area there are many destinations and tours that make the days very varied. Especially the circular trail "Bisse des Sarrasins" from Pinsec to Vercorin holds many a surprise. We can only recommend this accommodation.

Gemütliche Ferien

The chalet is nicely located. It's great to have your own parking space near the house. The two rustic stone stairs to the entrance are nice to look at and easy to walk for people who are good on foot. During breakfast on the terrace in the summer, you can wonderfully observe how the sun slowly makes its way from the other mountain slope towards the chalet. From around 9:30 am, the sun is there and stays until sunset (around 9:00 pm). The equipment of the cottage leaves hardly any wishes unfulfilled, except for Wi-Fi and suitable covers for the duvet (all were about 10cm too narrow ;-). Also, I think it is important to know that it is quite dark inside the chalet itself during rainy weather and therefore the light must be turned on during the day if you want to see well. All in all, I can recommend the chalet. The arrangements and information provided by the owners were absolutely uncomplicated, helpful, and friendly! As a guest, I would have only wished for a slightly nicer welcome, such as beds made, open shutters, and above all, not just superficial but thorough cleanliness.
