Description
Villa Helios is located on a sunny southwest slope amidst an over 7000 square meter large olive grove. The house features a large heated pool (3.5mx16m, water depth up to 1.70m), a separately heated relaxation pool (3mx5m) with jets and water loungers, as well as a garden.
Following the terraces of the old olive grove, Villa Helios nestles across three split levels against the slope. The spacious living and dining area is on the same level as the pool. Whether you prefer to dine inside the house or on the terrace by the pool, you always have an unobstructed view of the sea. During the hot summer months, a gentle breeze provides pleasant cooling, always blowing from the north. Even in the transitional seasons, you can enjoy sunbathing: the terraces and the garden offer various options.
With over 220 square meters of living space, there is plenty of room for families and groups. Due to the arrangement of the rooms and the design of the surroundings of the house, Villa Helios offers a lot of undisturbed privacy for relaxing, peaceful vacations.
The pool, inviting for swimming with its size of 16x3.7m, can be heated with a heat pump and offers pleasant temperatures all year round.
The separately heated relaxation pool is located a bit higher in the olive grove and offers a different view of the countryside and sea. Here you can relax in the water or have jets/bubbles massage you.
Please note: Both the large pool and the whirlpool can be heated using separate heat pumps. Since prices and electricity prices have risen sharply in Crete, we have decided to separate the costs for heating the pools instead of a general rent increase. The following additional costs are on a weekly basis:
Heating the large pool to 24 degrees Celsius (300 EUR/week) and heating the RelaxPool to 27 degrees Celsius (150 EUR/week)
Please note: The pool temperature is generally maintained only from late morning to early evening. The exact timeframe is dependent on the weather conditions, which vary according to the external temperatures and wind conditions. Three bedrooms are spread across two elevated levels, accessible by a few steps from the living area. All bedrooms have bathrooms that are exclusively accessible from the bedrooms, separate terraces, and sea views. The main bedroom on the first floor offers a direct sea view from the bed and an indoor jacuzzi, from which you can enjoy the sunset over the sea. The bedroom "Canopy Bed" features a king-size bed and a sofa that can be turned into an additional sleeping arrangement for an adult or 2 children when needed. Another bedroom offers two single beds.
The kitchen is fully equipped. Everything you need for cooking or baking is available. A dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave, a large refrigerator with freezer compartment, as well as a toaster and coffee machine are included in the amenities. A washing machine is also available.
The dining area is located at the pool level. Enjoy your breakfast or dinner on the pool terrace. If you don't want to cook yourself, there are various alternatives. Visit one of the restaurants reachable within a few minutes' drive. Or have dinner delivered to the house and enjoy it on the pool terrace while the sun sets over the sea. Internet: The house has free WIFI. The connection is made via satellite. This can limit data throughput and volume. However, usual data volume is available via cell phone reception. If you wish to download/upload movies or larger data volumes during your stay, we therefore recommend using the data volume on your own mobile phone.
The flatscreen TV also offers German programs. DVD/Blu-ray players as well as a small video library are available.
Music from mobile phones or USB sticks can be played via the Bluetooth connection or the Aux input of the stereo system.

Location and surroundings of object
Villa Helios is located in the southwest of Crete in an olive grove away from the usual tourist tracks. The slightly elevated position on a south-west slope allows the marvellous sea view and Cape Katsoulas.
5 more villas and a reception building are within a 3-5 minute walk. A small paved road, which is part of the European Walking track E4, connects the villa to the panoramic road from Kissamos to Elos. The Elafonisi and Falassarna beaches are 15 and 35 minutes away by car. The nearest airport Chania, which is usually directly fueled by several airports in Germany, is about 70 km and 90 minutes drive away. Heraklion airport is further away.

Our house and its surroundings offer an oasis of tranquility and is therefore the ideal environment to unwind. Whether in the garden, on one of the three terraces in front of the bedrooms or on the large pool terrace, the blue of the sea and the sky invite you to relax. The pool is 16x4 meters in size and allows for a refreshing bath as well as sporty swimming.
In the evening the sun sinks directly behind the pool in the sea. Afterwards the starry sky offers an unforgettable spectacle. In the morning wake up the first rays of the sun and occasionally the cock crowing at some distance. In 10-15 minutes driving time you will find local restaurants, which besides excellent food each have a special ambience to offer.
The personal care on the spot is our manager. It is always available for you and helps with the shopping or gives valuable tips for excursions.
Our house is cleaned twice a week. Then also the change of the bed linen, as well as the change of towels for the use in the bathroom as well as the separate pool towels.

Dream villa in a super location
We spent a wonderfully beautiful vacation with friends in this well-maintained villa. We missed nothing in the villa; it was very clean and comfortably furnished. The view over the sea is simply stunning. We usually enjoyed the sunsets from the pool. We were completely satisfied and have already reserved for next year.

Wäschetrockner:
Auf den Wäschetrockner verzichten wir bewusst. Die Wäsche trocknet an der frischen Luft auf Kreta genauso schnell. Dafür gibt es am Haus eine Vorrichtung auf der Nordseite.
Lage:
Die schlechte Bewertung der Lage unseres Hauses verwundert uns und ist einzigartig während unserer über zehnjährigen Vermietung. Vor Vertragsunterzeichnung standen Ihnen zur Verfügung:

Absolutely beautiful vacation in a great villa
The villa was amazing. Just like in the photos. Well located between Elafonisi and Falassarna and still very quiet. The view from the villa was wonderful. The pool was the best we have ever had. We really enjoyed the daily cooling off. Our landlord always took great care of us. If we had any questions, we were served very quickly. Only the cleaning staff were not always completely reliable when it came to scheduling. We had a wonderful holiday and can definitely imagine coming back again.

Fantastic holiday in beautiful accommodation
We can wholeheartedly recommend this holiday home and have already stayed here twice
Even before the holiday, we had very pleasant communication with the landlord, were provided with all the important information and felt very well looked after. On site, we were very positively surprised by the dreamlike property: the garden, the pool as well as the house are in a very well-kept condition and furnished with love for detail. There is a separate bathroom for each room and the living room invites you to stay even in cooler temperatures.
Detailed information about the house, the surroundings and possible restaurants, as well as local contacts, have been compiled in a small welcome folder.
To get to the highlights of the area, as well as to the restaurants and shopping, you need a car. If you need help with this, you can also contact the landlord with confidence.
We were very satisfied all around, had a wonderful holiday week and are already looking forward to another holiday in this wonderful house
