This holiday flat is located on the 1st floor of the Hering holiday farm, is approx. 55 m² in size and offers space for 4 people + possible extra bed on the couch and space for a travel cot. It was completely renovated in 2015 and partly newly created. The flat has a bedroom with double bed, a second bedroom with bunk bed, bathroom (daylight) with shower/WC and an open kitchen with separate living & dining area. The kitchen is a complete fitted kitchen with cooker and dishwasher, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, dishes etc.. - everything you need for self-catering. The flat also has a small covered balcony with a beautiful view over the village
On the ground floor of the house there is a lounge with billiards and board games, which all guests are welcome to use. In the courtyard there is a brick barbecue and a fire bowl with plenty of seating, inviting you to spend cosy evenings.

Location and surroundings of object
The holiday farm is located in the national park municipality, the state-recognised resort Hinterhermsdorf with approx. 650 inhabitants. The farm is centrally located and quiet at the same time. After a few steps you can reach fields and forests. Hinterhermsdorf has already been voted Germany's most beautiful village once and is also certified as a family-friendly holiday resort.
You can start your hikes directly from the farm. With a very well signposted network of hiking and cycling trails - also across the border into Bohemian Switzerland - there are numerous opportunities for day trips or short, leisurely excursions.
A boat trip on the Upper Lock in the wild and romantic Kirnitzschklamm gorge is a must during a holiday in Hinterhermsdorf. A hike to the Weifbergturm tower - you can reach your destination in just 30 minutes - is definitely worth the climb. From there you have a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains. For children, an excursion to the "Waldhusche", a forest adventure park, is a good idea. In just a few minutes you can reach the playground and sports field with a natural swimming pond.

In the village there is a small grocery shop, which is supplied early by a baker with fresh bread rolls, a hairdresser, doctor, Haus des Gastes with savings bank. There are also 4 restaurants within walking distance.

It was enough for 4 days.
We were on a short vacation in the holiday apartment. We would have appreciated a bit more personality. We didn't see the landlord even once, and only saw her employee once for 2 minutes. Communication was only the bare minimum via email. Otherwise, the area is very nice. Everything is very accessible. In the autumn, a flashlight is absolutely necessary. Little lighting. No balcony at all, in case you are a smoker.

Great accommodation.
As a married couple with a dog, we were very well accommodated here for 10 days. The location of the holiday apartment was perfect, as it was perfect for hikes and excursions. All the sights that you must explore in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains are easy to reach, both on foot and by car or public transport. The apartment was very well furnished and equipped with everything you need. The key handover went smoothly via a safe, so that the holiday could start immediately without any problems. We immediately felt as if we were at home. Many thanks again to Mrs. Hering. Great vacation for us and we will definitely recommend your accommodation. Fam. M. and B. Friese.

wonderful getaway
We were warmly welcomed on the day of our arrival and moved into the pretty little apartment. The village and the surroundings are fantastic. Pure relaxation.
