Super host

This summer, we spent our vacation in East Frisia in Grossheide with the couple Mine and Ewald Jibben. Upon arriving at the private parking lot, we were greeted very warmly and immediately invited for coffee and cake, which Mine had baked herself.
The holiday apartment is quite large and located on the first floor. The bathroom and kitchen have been renovated, and the beds in the bedroom are very comfortable. The apartment is equipped with everything that a holiday guest needs. We were also allowed to use the huge, well-kept garden. There, on the terrace, we drank coffee in the sun after our excursions, and then tried Mine's homemade blackberry wine. During our stay, we were also invited by Mine and Ewald one evening for a wine tasting. The natural warmth of the two is unbeatable.
The son of the Jibben family has a fish shop in the village where we often got good food, especially the Friday menu.
P.S. During the entire time, we had fresh eggs from their own chickens running around in the garden, and we ate snake cucumbers from the garden. It couldn't get any fresher and more delicious. We also took some of the delicious blackberry wine home.
If we plan a vacation in this region again, it will definitely be with Mine and Ewald.

Very friendly hosts in a great holiday flat

The hosts are very warm and helpful.
The flat is very large and spacious. the flat is on the 1st floor of the house. There is only one staircase
no lift. Everything you need is there. In the garden there are swings and a sandpit for the children, as well as a barbecue area (but we didn't use it because of the season),
There were even toys for the children. The flat is super suitable for families with children.
There were six of us there (parents, 2 children and the grandparents).

We come again

The flat is very nice, equipped with everything to make a pleasant holiday.
Very clean and quiet! I was there with two teenagers and we all had a place to retreat to. The family is very lovely and hospitable!!!! Jibben family have a fish shop with delicious delicacies!!! Is a must if you love fish. We will be back.

Great holiday with toddler

Our summer holiday this year with our one-and-a-half-year-old son was just great. Although not all rooms are furnished in the most modern way (but bathroom and kitchen are up to date), the flat is well equipped and wonderfully clean. Above all, it is very suitable for families with children (large toy corner, swing and sandpit in the garden, children's chairs, cot, even a nappy bin was available and safety was guaranteed by a sturdy child safety gate on the stairs, as it is on the 1st floor)
We were very well looked after by the very nice landlords, nothing was missing. If something is missing, you can ask for it at any time without problems. In the very well-kept garden we were allowed to hang up our towels etc. after bathing and we were even offered the furnished terrace of the landlords for barbecuing. Basically it is a rather quiet area, to get to the sea you need about 15-20 minutes by car. However, there are great bathing lakes in Großheide and the surrounding villages where you can go swimming regardless of the tides. This was very practical for us with a toddler who still needed regular naps in the accommodation. If the weather is bad, you have to look for activities in the surrounding area (e.g. the energy centre in Aurich, the seal station in Norddeich or the aquarium in Wilhelmshaven), but always allow for a certain distance to travel.
In summary, it was a great holiday in a quiet area, we were able to relax well and get to know East Frisia a little better. We wish the Jibben family all the best and perhaps we will see you again one day?

Great holiday flat

I rented the flat with my partner for a few days. The flat is really big (designed for several people) and more than sufficient for 2 people. The flat is very well equipped, everything you need is there. Cleanliness was really tiptop! The flat is in a very quiet location, a supermarket with a bakery is about 5 minutes walk away. You can get everywhere by car from there. Very nice and friendly landlords. I would definitely recommend the flat!

It does not get any better than this

As a married couple we like to travel,this time we went to Grossheide to stay with the Jibbens family.it was one of the most beautiful holidays ever.we were so warmly welcomed,something we had never experienced before in other accommodations.the holiday flat surprised us,because it really lacked nothing.The weather was not so good for us,unfortunately you can't book that,but the sun came up with the hosts Mine and Ewald.We were well looked after and there were also some good tips for the surroundings.With the enthusiasm we will certainly see each other again.

We, 2 people, were totally satisfied. The apartment was fully equipped, located in a quiet area, and had really nice landlords. Great bike tours could be done from there. Storing the bikes we brought along was also no problem.

Schöne große Ferienwohnung

Although it was our first time here, we were greeted very warmly. The landlords are very friendly, helpful, and always ready to provide information of any kind. The large, very clean vacation apartment is located in a quiet, pretty residential area. The house has a well-kept garden that guests can use. The beds are comfortable, all windows have shutters for darkening, and the kitchen is fully equipped. Only a light above the sink would be nice. It takes some getting used to that you can hear the landlords' phone system because of the open staircase. However, we felt very comfortable here in East Frisia with the Jibben family.

Ein zweites Zuhause

You are welcomed with a warmth that is unmatched. For the 3rd time in a row, we stayed at the Haus Sonnenschein. Simply fantastic. Especially noteworthy are Mine and Ewald. The open and honest way in which they treat their guests is something you wish for from good friends. The apartment has everything you need. Very cozy and homey. Being at home!!!!

Our vacation accommodation,
From arrival to departure, our three children and we felt at home. We were welcomed very warmly, and the children felt like they were with their grandparents. Our children have always been very curious, and when it comes to gardening and animal care, they always found a sympathetic ear with Mine and Ewald.
P.S. Our next vacation at Mine and Ewald's is already being planned. Always happy to return...

All is well!!

We were very warmly welcomed by Mrs. and Mr. Jibben, got many tips for excursions
Very nice and quiet location. We didn't mind that the floor is only separated by an open staircase. Our children (16,14,9) slept very well :).
For the price, it's a nice holiday flat and the garden is well laid out. We will definitely come again!

In terms of cleanliness and hospitality, I can only agree with the other reviews. It is unfortunately not mentioned anywhere that the family lives in the same house below and the floors are not completely separated from each other (open staircase). One should therefore be prepared to hear each other speak word for word. Personally, we found this lack of privacy. But that's a matter of taste. Unfortunately, there was no such indication anywhere. Therefore, we criticize the lack of transparency. Another issue for us was the absence of guest cards. The place is between 30 and 40 minutes away by car (Dornumersiel, Bensersiel).

We love coming here again and again, even after 28 years. The welcome and support are always exemplary. No problem is too big for the friendly landlords to solve. Beautiful holiday in East Frisia

Very nice and clean holiday apartment. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable to sleep in. There is plenty of space available as the apartment is quite large. Outside, there is also a log cabin with a roof, so you can sit outside even in less favorable weather.

Mr. and Mrs. Jibben are very pleasant hosts who are ready to help and provide advice if needed. We felt very comfortable and are looking forward to the next visit.

Gemütliche Ferienwohnung

After a short search, we found the Jibben family. Very friendly landlords, a cozy furnished apartment with extremely comfortable mattresses in the bed. Space to play in the garden for the kids and a great garden house, invite you to linger and relax. Overall, it was a great but unfortunately much too short time.
We will definitely come back!

A direct hit!

Thank you for a week of vacation in Grosheide, it was our first time at the North Sea and we hit the jackpot right away. The location of the house is ideal and the equipment is exceptionally good. On the terraces, you have sunshine all day and can relax completely.

We especially liked the furnishings, the size of the rooms, and the uncomplicated key handover and return.

It's great to have landlords like you who are there for their guests. We will come back.
