The apartment house is located on the district Mezzane
(Ortsverwaltung Villanuova sull`Clisi) about km from the sea, on the west bank
Garda.
Overlooking the lake, the hill at whose feet the romantic village
Salo extends. Parking for the car and a lawn are right
the house.
The building is divided into nine separate apartments. The apartment has a
private entrance and is approximately 75 square meters.
Smoking permitted in outdoor areas.

Holiday home
The house is beautifully situated on a hill where it is pleasantly quiet. There are many short excursions in the vicinity and Salo is a wonderful place to stroll around

Girls' holiday
We were 6 girls and had a great holiday :-) The house is perfectly adequate for a short holiday for up to 6 people, as we were on the road every day anyway. You can get to the beach at the lake in Salo very quickly and there are also plenty of parking facilities. Salo is a very nice town with its many boutiques and restaurants. In the evening on the huge terrace or on the balcony above, with a view of Lake Garda, we had a nice end to the day. We were completely satisfied, it was a great holiday and we will gladly come back :-)

Beautiful holiday
We spent 3 months there and felt very comfortable.
It is quiet, you can relax well. Nature all around. On the two spacious terraces (ground floor and first floor) there is enough seating furniture (also 2 loungers). The flat has everything you need. Practically, there is also a washing machine. Of course, you can't get by without a car. You always have to drive if you want to go to the lake or to the shops. Down in the village you will find all the shops, including Aldi and Lidl and a shopping centre. The neighbours are all very nice and extremely helpful. We received many suggestions for excursions and sightseeing from the very nice landlord. We will be happy to come back.

Garda Vita
Eine schöne ruhige Casa in den steilen Bergen über SALO'. Großzügige Räumlichkeiten, Balkon/Terrasse, Spielwiese, Parkplatz, auf Wunsch Anschluß an supernette Nachbarn (Einheimische als auch Urlauber), gute Ausstattung mit besonders lobenswerten Betten. Mobilität vor Ort nur mit Auto oder Motorrad möglich. Gute Ausgangsbasis für Tagesausflüge (Verona, Brescia, bergiges Hinterland). SALO' und Umgebung (Bucht und Horn bei San Felice) bieten viele herrliche Möglichkeiten für Strandurlaub und Entdeckung der italienischen Lebensart. Man findet schöne Dörfer, ruhige Ecken, pulsierende Uferpromenaden. Und in VILLANUOVA (ca. 5 km) einen nagelneuen ALDI in SuperSize - wohl einzigste Möglichkeit am Gardasee frisches Körnerbrot zu erhalten.
Wer auf Selbstversorgung mit Familie steht ist in dieser Unterkunft bestens aufgehoben. Klare Empfehlung!

Quiet location on the mountain above Salo
Casa Bertolino in Mezzane is located in a quiet setting in a mountain village with Lake Garda at its feet. The lake is visible from the house and the view of the bay of Salo is breathtaking, especially at night. Everything you need is available in the house, so you can arrive with small luggage. The flat is a good starting point for excursions in the area, with transport connections in all directions. However, you will need your own car. The nearby town of Salo is a friendly place where you can stroll and eat along the promenade. The tourist rate in Salo is apparently quite a bit lower than in the neighbouring towns of Limone and Sirmione. If it's still too much, Casa Bertolino is a first-class haven of peace.

Great!
Thank you very much for the accommodation. Three of us stayed there (2 adults, 1 child) and we were very satisfied. There was no lack of equipment, the terraces were tolerably cool even in the great heat this year thanks to the marquee and the shade it provided. However, we didn't get the bedrooms cooled down, so it stayed very hot at night, especially as the outside temperature in the week didn't drop below 25°C even at night.... The location is far up on a mountain, for bike tours you need a very very good fitness, but a good starting point for hikes directly from the flat. Otherwise you are dependent on the car.
We were very satisfied and will gladly come back!

Wunderschön untouristisch
Wir waren jetzt bereits da vierte Mal dort und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Gerade die Tipps von Salvatore sind Gold wert. Eine super Pizzeria im Ort, die man sonst sicher nie gesehen hätte, ein traumhafter Strand (gerade für kleine Kinder, flach reingehend und sandig ab ca. 10 Metern reingehen) sind da zu erwähnen.
Dann die Nähe zu Verona, Brescia, Salo und dem Gardaland sowie auch zu Deszenzano und Sirmione.
Die Nachbarn sind klasse, sprechen englisch und natürlich italienisch. Sie sind für Dinge rund um das Haus ansprechbar, aber auch Salvatore reagiert auf Nachrichten sehr schnell.
Das Haus ist funktional ausgestattet, aber man ist eh am See oder auf einer der wunderbaren Terassen. Die Matratzen der Betten sind gut, das Haus ist sauber, die Küche ist mit den Basis-Dingen ausgestattet wenn man kommt.
Man muss halt für jede Kleinigkeit mit dem Auto fahren, aber das hat man schnell organisiert mit den Fahrten zum See.
Außerdem macht die Lage von Mezzane (ca. 300 Meter über dem See) den Ort angenehm kühl in den Abendstunden. Wir hatten nachts im Juli 18 Grad obwohl tagsüber am See 33 Grad waren.
TV ist neu, funktioniert und hat deutsche Sender, großer Kühlschrank, große Schränke und sehr viele Sitzgelegenheiten sowie der kleine Garten runden alles ab.
Und dann dieser Blick auf den See...
Wer es wagen möchte: Die Strasse nach Mezzane hat eine Steigung von ca. 8-10% auf 3 Kilometer, ein sportlicher Lauf zum Tagesabschluss hat mich zumindest ganz schön ins Schwitzen gebracht.

Tolle Ferienunterkunft
Wir waren letzte Woche in der Unterkunft gemeinsam mit unserem Hund.
Dank der detailierten Wegbeschreibung haben wir die Unterkunft zügig gefunden und auch die Schlüsselübergabe ging schnell und wir durften hierbei die netten Nachbarn kennenlernen.
Die Wohnung bzw das Haus ist großzügig geschnitten und liegt in einem kleinen Ort am Hang.
Wir haben immer auf dem oberen Balkon gefrühstückt - mit tollem Blick auf den See und die umliegende Hügellandschaft. Auch mit dem Hund konnten wir direkt oberhalb des Hauses im Wald spazieren gehen, in dem auch ausgewiesene Wanderwege zu finden sind.
Die nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten befinden sich ca nach 5-10 min Autofahrt. Die lange und schöne Uferpromenade Salós, an der es auch einige schöne Badestellen gibt, erreicht man nach 10min.
Uns hat es nicht gestört, dass wir auf das Auto angewiesen waren. In Saló selbst gibt es ausreichend Parkplätze. Außerdem auch gute Restaurants direkt am See. Aber auch selbst etwas zu kochen ist kein Problem, da die kleine Küche alles hat was man benötigt. Das Gläschen Vino haben wir auch abends auf dem oberen Balkon getrunken. :-)

Schöne Ferienzeit am Gardasee mit Bergfeeling
Wir haben mit Herrn Bertolino einen sehr netten Vermieter für die Ferienwohnung am Gardasee gefunden. Die Vorbereitungen im Vorfeld und die Kontaktaufnahme war die ganze Zeit über einwandfrei. Auch die Schlüsselübergabe vor Ort in Mezzane war gut geregelt.
Die Wohnung ist schön ausgestattet hat überall Fließen. Die Küche ist zweckmäßig eingerichtet.
Der obere Balkon ist ein Traum! Gerade für die ruhigen gemeinsamen Abende.
Allerdings: man muss schon Autofahren wollen, wenn man diese Unterkunft bucht. Ohne Auto ist leider nichts zu erreichen. Wenn man sich nach kurzer Zeit in der Gegend zurechtgefunden hat, ist auch das kein Problem und die Gegend lässt sich gut erkunden.
Durch die steile Berglage hat man eine tolle Aussicht auf den Gardasee.
Dennoch muss ich sagen, dass wir die Gegend bereits nach ein paar Tagen ins Herz geschlossen haben und trotz der Lage überlegen, im nächsten Jahr wieder zu kommen.

Alle Jahre wieder - absolut traumhaft
Wunderschöne, geräumige, Topp eingerichtete und auch sehr ruhige Ferienwohnung. Vor allem die Küche ist für eine Ferienwohnung super ausgestattet und es fehlte an nichts. Es gab auf Anfrage hin sogar einen Hochstuhl am Esstisch für unseren Jüngsten. Die Ferienwohnung liegt oberhalb von Salo in einem kleinen Dorf. Der Ausblick von der oberen Terasse ist echt toll, man sieht die Bucht von Saló. Die Aussenanlage ist komplett eingezäumt - dies war für uns als Familie mit Kindern und Hund einfach perfekt-. Die „italienischen Nachbarn“ des Mahrfamilienhauses sind auch sehr nett gewesen und unsere Kinder haben auch ziemlich schnell neue Freundschaften geschlossen. Badestrände sind in wenigen Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen sowie zahlreiche Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Zum Gardaland, Caneva sowie zum Safaripark benötigt man ca. 45 Minuten. Da die Ferienwohnung am Berg in einem sehr ruhigen Wohnviertel liegt braucht man wirklich zu allem das Auto, uns aber hat dies kein bisschen gestört. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
