A charming residence with perfect comfort

Rouge Eglantine is a house full of charm and surprises. It is a beautiful showcase of Alsatian heritage thanks to Nancy and her husband, who have managed to give it back all its former character with modern comfort. The entire decor is made up of carefully selected antique objects. A pure marvel. Very well located at the end of a very quiet street with a view of the countryside. A reliable rental. And thanks to Nancy for her warm welcome (and the brioche with homemade apple juice!). Flawless?

The perfect recovery

We were in Alsace for the first time from 8 to 16 January and were very taken with Nancy's warm welcome. The very first impression when we entered the house was that we had found a unique jewel here and didn't want to leave. We really enjoyed the house, with all the vibrancy, the inspiration that made our creativity flare up, the cosy time in the sauna after long extensive walks and the sweet cuisine. We spent an all-round wonderful, completely decelerated time and only left with heavy hearts. It was also nice how Nancy brought us a freshly baked pizza on the first evening (we arrived late on Saturday)....hmmm ;-)

Holiday with flair

We felt comfortable in this charming accommodation from the first moment. It is very clean and despite the harmonious decorations, it is neat and homely. Transported back to a previous century by the ambiance, you still don't have to miss out on anything. With the dog, we were able to take our walks directly from the house and also went on beautiful longer hikes in the surrounding area in the Vosges.
The landlords are very hospitable and accommodating. Simply lovable. A completely relaxing vacation :-)

Märchenhaft

We had three lovely and relaxing days in this fairytale house from another time. We lacked nothing. Everything was as described. You can go hiking and jogging directly from the house. The landlady is very warm, open, and accommodating. We simply felt comfortable.

Super great holiday WEEK!!

Very warm welcome and lovely care by the super nice landlords! Upon arrival, there were already "delicious" brioche, apple juice and jus (all homemade!) on the dining table.
Lovingly renovated and equipped holiday home with all comforts.
Hiking trails directly accessible from the house, shopping facilities easily reachable by car in a few minutes.
We (2 people, 1 dog) felt VERY comfortable and would love to come back to this holiday home.

A beautiful holiday house for relaxation.

A beautiful house, very lovingly and tastefully decorated. Ideal for relaxing and recovering for a week. The house has everything you need, a very nice kitchen, great bathroom, and a very nice sauna. When it's warm, you can sit outside in the garden and immediately be surrounded by greenery and go hiking. Very suitable for families and also for dogs. We felt very comfortable there. If you need anything, the Hufschmitt family is very loving and takes care of everything. The location is ideal. Small village, very quiet, but within a few minutes, everything for shopping is available. The location is also perfect. In 30 minutes you are in Strasbourg, in 30 minutes in the Vosges, and the Alsatian Wine Route begins 10 minutes from the village. The house and the nice landlords...I can only recommend it. Dear Hufschmitt family, thank you again for a few lovely days in November.

Top house, incredibly nice landlords

There is absolutely nothing to complain about. The house is a gem in a very quiet area. It is perfectly equipped and lovingly decorated with taste. We stayed on-site for three weeks and felt comfortable in consistently sunny weather. You can go for a walk and hike all around. Nancy, the landlady, is a true treasure. All wishes were fulfilled. In addition, she provided us with Tarte Tatin, jam, eggs from the chickens, and apple juice. And tips! There is a lot to do all around. Colmar and Strasbourg are definitely worth a visit. But also Wasselonne, Marmoutier, Saverne, and the Odile Monastery should not be missed. Even our difficult dog felt comfortable. In the house, there is a well-equipped sauna that we did not use. And a foosball table that we did use.

This cottage has something special about it!

We spent a lovely week in Salenthal. The house's facilities leave nothing to be desired. The house offers more than one would expect. Washing machine, dryer, ironing board, iron, kitchen appliances, etc. We have never had a vacation home so well-equipped and lovingly furnished down to the details. The contact with the landlord was uncomplicated and very pleasant. Perhaps still important to know. The bed in the parents' bedroom is a French bed with a continuous mattress, a shared blanket and a length that fit me well at 1.78m. For people over 1.80m this means that their feet stick out of the bed. The steep, narrow staircase is also designed for smaller people (back then people weren't so tall). We happily recommend the house.

Lovingly prepared cozy cottage

I spent a relaxing time with my large dog in this lovingly and elaborately prepared cozy cottage. Nothing is missing and the Hufschmitt family goes to great lengths to ensure the well-being of their guests. Every wish is fulfilled immediately with great warmth, and I felt instantly welcomed and well cared for. It deserves the highest respect and admiration for how much love went into preparing this cottage. Maintaining its historical style, it doesn't lack any modern comfort. The numerous high-quality details that create this enchanting ambiance give a glimpse of how much passion went into restoring this little house, and I wish the Hufschmitt family only guests who appreciate it and handle it with the utmost care. Dreamy relaxation in a 5-star accommodation

This house and the location are a dream! The quiet setting is perfect for long walks or bike rides. At the same time, there is plenty to do as you can quickly reach Strasbourg and other beautiful cities. The Hufschmitt family is incredibly warm and took great care of us. Wunderbarer Aufenthalt in einem bezaubernden Fachwerkhaus

We (parents + 1 child) were warmly welcomed by our landlady Nancy and spoiled with wine, homemade plum jam, apple juice, and the typical Alsatian Gugelhupf. The little house is simply fantastic and very lovingly furnished. We made full use of the great bathtub. We slept very well (excellent mattresses) and the nightly braying of the donkey Ernest from the Hufschmitt family surely lulled us to sleep. Overall fantastic accommodation, beautiful days in Alsace - we will gladly come back!

Außergewöhnliche Unterkunft mit Charme

We (family with three children and a dog) thank you very much for the truly wonderful stay in this lovingly and tastefully decorated holiday home with a great attention to detail. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and were very sorry to have to leave after just one week. Last but not least, Nancy's incredibly warm and charming manner, always available for questions and able to provide us with numerous tips for excursions, made us feel very comfortable and welcome.
We are very glad to have discovered this little paradise for ourselves.

Excellent, deserves more than 5 stars!

My daughter, our 2 dogs, and I spent wonderful and relaxing days in this charming setting. In this house, you feel super comfortable and welcome from the first second. The beautiful garden invites you to relax, and you enjoy a wonderfully quiet time. Everything you need is available. The landlords are very loving people, and for our welcome, we received a homemade cake and fresh eggs from their own chickens. This house is highly recommended without any reservations. Charming Little Witch's Cottage

We, as a large family, had the pleasure of staying at Nancy and Frank's witch's cottage for a week and were absolutely thrilled: everything is stylishly designed with attention to detail, ideal for children, beautiful nature and excursion possibilities all around, and an extremely warm welcome from Nancy and family.
