Ideal location for exploring the Alsace! 30 km from Strasbourg, 1 hour drive to Colmar and nature at the foot of the cottage. Ideal for athletes with a massive close to 652 meters, (mountain bike and bike)
The Gite is located at the end of the street, in an old house that also offers La Maison d'Amélie.
We live on the property.
We offer a cottage with a large living space, large kitchen open to living room and dining room and wood stove. The terrace is directly accessible from the living room, it offers a beautiful exhibition throughout the day. Sunny mid in the morning, sun at noon and evening.
On the first floor, 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with 2 beds, as well as a bathroom and toilet.
The beds are made and the towels provided.
We also have a gazebo adjoining the petanque field, this one generously shaded.
I am a wine merchant (former sommelier) in the village, it is with pleasure that we share a glass of wine.

Traumferien in Birkenwald
Sehr ruhige Lage am Fuss der Vogesen, sehr netter, zuvorkommender, sehr gut deutsch sprechender Vermieter, Wanderwege sehr nahe, gute Ausstattung. Wir haben uns in den besten Händen gefühlt.

A great week in Alsace
We spent a lovely week in northern Alsace. The landlord, Mr Ring, was always approachable and responded immediately to our requests. In good weather, it is pleasant to sit on the terrace with a glass of good white wine and look out over the wooded slopes of the Vosges. Our weather rarely allowed this, but we did sit comfortably in front of the fireplace. Although the location seems a bit remote, many destinations (Strasbourg, wine route, etc.) are within easy reach. There is also a beautiful church and a worthwhile organ museum (both in Marmoutier) to admire in the immediate vicinity. The house was very clean and thanks to Mr Ring we also found our new favourite white wine.
It was a great week and we would definitely come again.
