The accommodation is located in the centre of Krippen in a flood-safe location
Restaurants, bus, train, a butcher's shop and a small supermarket are within walking distance. Krippen is on the other side of the Elbe from Bad Schandau and has good transport links by bus, train and ferry. There are restaurants, a shopping market and a bowling alley in the village. All well-known hiking and excursion destinations are within easy reach. The city of art Dresden can be reached easily from Krippen in a short time by S-Bahn. The border crossing to the Czech Republic is only km away

No wishes left unfulfilled!
Even the friendly reception by Mrs. Kunath and the first tour of the apartment showed us that we had hit the jackpot! The apartment is exceptionally cozy and is equipped with everything one needs, and everything is well-maintained and works, e.g., a detail like a really good bread knife, which is often missed otherwise. In the small cooking area, one manages very well; all the equipment is solid and of good quality, you won't find pots or pans that have been discarded elsewhere here.
After more or less extensive hikes, one is pleased to be able to enjoy the amenities of this apartment. Particularly noteworthy is the availability of public transportation: everything is there—bus, train, S-Bahn, tram, and ferries—and for the first time on vacation, we could leave our car parked, except for a shopping trip. The nearest bus station is about 100m away, and the Elbe ferry is about a 10-minute walk. Highlighting the advantages of the landscape would exceed the scope here... to put it briefly, it would be a great oversight not to have been here...

There were very beautiful days.
We stayed in this vacation apartment for 7 days in July 2025. We liked it very much. The landlady is incredibly nice and very accommodating. I can recommend this vacation apartment.

Short vacation with a relaxation guarantee ;0)
Super friendly welcome from Ms. Kunath on the day of arrival.
The vacation apartment is very cozily furnished and leaves hardly any wishes unfulfilled.
We felt very welcome and comfortable here.
There are restaurants in the area with very good service and delicious food.
Hiking tours in such a large variety that it's hard to choose.
We particularly enjoyed the small terrace with a view of the church. We would like to sincerely thank you for a wonderful short holiday and the warm hospitality.

Very relaxing and beautiful vacation
I was on vacation here in Krippen with my 9-year-old son from August 3rd to August 17th, 2024. Recommended for travelers who enjoy hiking and want to experience adventure. People who like culture and sightseeing are also very much in the right place here. There are really great guided hiking tours, even cave expeditions and adventure rowing and paddling tours on the Elbe. We got to know the Kunath family as very helpful and kind people. The holiday apartment is very clean and lovingly furnished and in very good condition. The town of Krippen is located in the middle of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. A beautiful landscape for hiking, even with children. If the weather is bad, there are still many options for families to do something. The nearest larger town, Bad Schandau, is about 3 km away. We would love to come back.
