Description

Luxurious bungalow for four people with private sun terrace.
Your bungalow is located on the edge of the lively fishing village of Sant Carles de la Ràpita, only 200 metres from the beach, but far from mass tourism and high-rise buildings.
Your bungalow is fully equipped with modern appliances and has its own sun terrace with barbecue facilities. Also suitable for longer stays ( through the winter).
In Sant Carles most utilities are within easy walking distance. In the lively village centre there are many restaurants and pavement cafés and delicious local food is on offer. A beautiful promenade takes you along several bars, each with its own unique flair. The village has many recreational facilities: Marina, boat rentals, cycling, water sports, swimming pool... Late at night, those who don't want to go to sleep yet can enjoy the nightlife on the promenade.
There are several ways to experience Sant Carles and its surroundings. The village is located on a particularly beautiful and unspoilt coastline in the south of Catalonia.
The inland area, with its authentic small towns, castles and regional markets, exemplifies this peaceful rural area and authentic Spanish conviviality. The area offers endless possibilities for excursions and activities.
Wintering is possible from 1 October to 1 June (€ 150 euros/week, min. 4 weeks). Please enquire about the conditions.

Great house with everything you need and the sea nearby!

The house was cozy with all the trimmings.
The sea nearby completed the whole.

The town is nice, but if you have difficulty walking, a car is handy.
Nice market on Saturday morning.

We stayed in Joana for 16 nights. The house is fully equipped. Everything was relaxed and the communication with the landlord was also great. Worth repeating.

Totally fine!

We stayed with our family (2 teenagers aged 19 and 16) for 2 weeks at Casa Joana. Everything was excellent: great location, spacious house, fully equipped, and very clean. Whenever we had questions, Petra not only responded quickly but also efficiently. In short, a very pleasant place to spend your vacation.

Nice holiday home and friendly host and hostess

Spent from January until March at Casa Joanna. It is a cozy and fully equipped house. The location is close to the beach, and supermarkets, restaurants, and shops are easily accessible. The nearby train station provides easy access to Barcelona and other cities. The friendly host and hostess often arrange enjoyable outings and pleasant gatherings on a terrace in the village. They are always there for you when you need them
We really enjoyed our stay there and can highly recommend it.

everything neatly in order

Overall everything is neat and tidy. Having a car makes it much easier to visit other beaches and places. Highly recommended is the castle of Peñiscola and the beach near the Cemex cement factory. Fine sandy beach, ideal for children, with even a lifeguard present. Just make sure to fill a cooler because there is no beach bar there. Visit the castle in Miravet by ferry and stop by the pottery shop. Received a nice gift upon arrival and departure, very thoughtful.

Even this house was perfect again.

We are staying with these owners for the second time. This time, in Joanna, the house was perfect again. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood close to the beach, shops, and restaurants. Everything was within walking distance for us. It was another successful month, certainly due to the hospitality of the owners.

Tolles Haus

My husband and I have just returned from two months of "Wintering" in Joana. What a wonderful experience! The house is beautifully renovated and has a cozy and open living space. An ideal place for someone in a wheelchair. The apartment is equipped with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. The landlords Petra and Willem also ensure that nothing is missing. They even installed an additional support in the bathroom when it turned out to be more comfortable. The village of Sant Carles de La Ràpita (1 km away) is a very nice and authentic Spanish village. There are many good restaurants and bars. Especially one bar, Chipis. Petra and Willem go there for a drink every Saturday and enjoy doing that with the landlords of their apartments. Just a nice "Dutch" afternoon. All in all, they were wonderful months.

First of all, Petra and Willem are great hosts! They are very friendly, helpful, reactive, and will give you great information. The house is in a nice and quiet area. It is well equipped, and very agreable to live in (we stayed 3 weeks). There is a bus, down the street, leading to the main areas of the nearby Sant-Carles de la Rapita, which is a very nice town. Everything is relatively close-by. Altogether, a very nice stay, and a place (and hosts) to highly recommend. Thank you again, Petra and Willem!

very friendly and personal reception by the landlords, beautiful cottage where you find everything you need, recent and functioning air conditioning which is also very nice. The cottage is located in a beautiful urbanization and is a 5-minute walk from the beach, where it is relatively quiet and you can always find a spot, as the landlords themselves indicate. San Carles de la Rapita is far from mass tourism, but you can still find cozy shops in the center. The Lidl and another supermarket are just a 5-minute drive from the house, and for those who enjoy activities, despite not being very touristy, there is still plenty to choose from. Warmly welcomed. Ideal place for our family. Breakfast on covered terrace and walking to child-friendly sandy beach with calm promenade. Private parking. Beautiful fully renovated holiday home. New beds, private WiFi, and a great BBQ. Experienced a festival week in Ràpita where there was plenty to do. Supermarkets nearby. Good restaurants. Had a great time.

Beautiful holiday home in a good location, two minutes from a beautiful beach with plenty of amenities. San Carles is a cozy seaside town not yet overrun by tourists, with plenty of entertainment options.
