Description
The house is part of a completely renovated historic farmhouse from the 16th century with old stone walls and is surrounded by mature trees and a large garden in a quiet driveway. It is about 700 meters from one of the numerous Sandtraende. It has about 60 square meters.
On the ground floor there is an open living room with a small fireplace, two armchairs, dining area and a very well equipped fitted kitchen. In this area there is also the TV with the German television can be received. Also a stereo with CD player is available. The house has WIFI.
The kitchen has a refrigerator with integrated Tiefkuehlfach, ceramic hob and oven. There is also a toaster, a coffeemaker, a kettle, a Mikrowellengeraet and enough dishes and pots for five people. A vacuum cleaner is also available. From the kitchen from there is access to a sheltered garden area with a small private terrace. The garden belongs to the entire property and is not fenced. Gardenseaters and table are available.
Also downstairs there is a small bathroom with shower, washer and dryer and a separate toilet. A Hair-exists.
The entire living area on the ground floor is tiled.
On the first floor is a lockable bedroom with a double bed (140 x 190). On the same floor there is a small room with two single beds. This room leads a staircase to the loft with yet another single bed. Altogether there are five sleeping places. In order to allow a aureichenden living comfort, the house should be occupied but after possibility only with two to four people (eg two adults, two children).
Outside there is a small tackle house where there are bikes and an outside water connection to eg fishing or water sports devices to.

The house exudes a cozy and old world charm, without being forced to do without the modern comforts. It offers itself for a quiet relaxing holiday and also for an active holiday and comprises a movement enough space for families with children.

Location and surroundings of object
The house is situated on the border between Penmarc'h and Kérity on a plot with mature trees. From the street it is not visible and is very protected by a small Anliegerweg, which is not used as a through route.
The house is located on a historic site because it was home to the 16th century, a customs delivery point for the ansa vinegars farmers.
In the immediate vicinity (about 5 minutes by car or bike) are a supermarket, bakeries, restaurants and creperies, as well as a pharmacy and a modern Aerztehaus.
Even the nostalgic port of Kérity with its adjacent beach is about 700m. Penmarc'h has - as already described above - all shopping facilities for daily use to offer. The many small and large restaurants have the typical delicacies on offer. Especially recommended are the fish specialties that are daily freshly caught and there is accordingly a frequently changing menu. The idyllic harbor Kérity offers two small Fischlaeden (where you can buy daily fresh fish) and a typical bakery and small restaurants, of which one has a beautiful view of the daily Hafenbtrieb. If you follow the coastal road, you come to a symbol of the region: the lighthouse "Phare d'Eckmühl". This can now be visited and you can enjoy an excellent view of the entire region. There are also smaller (but very good) for eating out, a small tourist information center and the gallery of a site-ansa vinegars painter.
If you follow the coastal road further you go again past a church from the 16th century and has been specializing finally in the port of St. Guénolé, which refers to the sardine and Langustinenfang (live capture).
From here it is not far to the white sandy beach of Pors Carn and the Pointe de la Torche. On the sandy beaches you have to make the possibility (for hours) walks or just take a relaxing sunbath.
The Pointe de La Torche, with its two adjacent bays numerous water sports possibilities (surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing ...). At the end of the Bay of Audierne is the westernmost point of Brittany: the Pointe du Raz. The long white beaches alternate with the wild Felskueste add to the appeal of the southern Finistère.
The nearby towns of Pont l'Abbé (about 15 minutes) and Quimper (about 30 minutes) have to offer in addition to cultural and many shopping opportunities with their historical centers and medieval cathedrals. Unmentioned should Concarneau and Pont Aven (known from the Breton Mystery) remain, the beautifully both and about 45 - 60 minutes' drive away.

We are French and also live in St. Guénolé. For questions we are immediately on the spot and always approachable. We can contact in English and a little German understanding what has worked more smoothly. For specific questions (eg. As in the book) we have translation facilities.

On the beach relaxed Hundespaziergaenge are possible and there is also in the high season many stretches of beach where dogs can run.

Absolute relaxation
Great vacation home. Very quiet location, away from all the hustle and bustle. Generous garden. Shopping, beach, and sights easy to reach. We were here with 2 dogs and enjoyed this vacation - especially the long beaches - very much. The landlords - Mr. and Mrs. Gourett - were very friendly and accommodating. We can easily imagine vacationing at "Thy Bihan" again.

There for the second time
We spent a relaxing holiday in Penmarch for the second time as a family. The beach can be reached very quickly on foot and by bike. Two bikes are available on site. The house is functional and comfortably furnished. The surrounding area has a lot to offer. La Torche surfing beach 15 minutes by bike, a family-friendly quiet beach 5 minutes by bike. City and shopping trip to Quimper or Ponte L' Abbe (big market on Fridays with food, clothes and nice trinkets). In the nearby district of Kerity there is a bakery, fish shops and several cafes and restaurants. We can highly recommend the Nautilus. The landlord couple is very helpful and relaxed. We were welcomed with a bottle of cider and a pot of honey from the region.
If you don't need a luxury holiday with chic and comfortable accommodation, this is the place for you. Our dog liked it too, by the way.

Comme à la maison!
Wonderful holidays in a wonderful environment! A small house to feel good in, quiet location and a beautiful garden. It is a few minutes' walk to the beach. The landlords are very friendly and accommodating. We as a family felt very comfortable and will visit the place again

This is beautifully located in the dreamy town of Penmarch. It is very lovingly furnished, well equipped and a holiday there is really to be recommended. The area is also beautiful and there are many things to do and see. It is really worth a trip. The landlords are super nice people
