Description
The Ilmhaus is beautifully and idyllically situated on a small river that flows by and invites you to swim in summer. Here you can relax and find peace. The house is lovingly furnished and the original natural stone walls have been uncovered and preserved. Here you can relax and enjoy your holiday. In front of the house you can immediately start a nice bike ride or a hike.
Outside is a beautiful large outdoor area directly on the water with a nice barbecue area. There are sunbathing areas, seating for 12 people and a garden house.

The Ilmhaus is situated in a very rural and idyllic location by the flowing water, away from the big cities but very central between Regensburg, Ingolstadt, Nuremberg, Augsburg and Munich in the middle of Bavaria. You have many sights in the surrounding area, all of which you can reach in a short time.

We had a really great stay at Ilmhaus. The holiday apartment is very stylishly furnished and therefore has a uniquely loving character. Everything necessary for a short vacation was available (however, a broom for sweeping and a small dustpan and brush were missing - or maybe we just didn't find them - but this does not deduct any points from the review - maybe they will be available next time). Ilmhaus is very quiet, located by the flowing Ilm - a place of relaxation. ... I can only say: it was wonderful in this house.

All in order
Everything was good, we have nothing to complain about. The price for one week is of course a hammer, but the equipment is great, you will find everything you need in the kitchen. The house is clean, there were spare sheets, blankets and so on.
The location of the house directly on the river is particularly noteworthy. The outdoor area has a covered terrace and seating right on the water. We could eat outside and watch nature. We were also lucky with fishing. For fishing lovers, the house is particularly well suited. It was also nice that our dog was welcome, you really noticed that with the furnishings. So the house is also suitable for families with dogs.
The location of the house is quiet, but there are many excursion possibilities in the area, both for children and culture for adults. You will find a good overview in the guest folder of the house, we used many tips from this folder.

Unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.
We had a very nice leisure time in their house. Unfortunately, we had to make the experience that the house is not suitable for wheelchairs. We had a resident with a wheelchair with us. On the ground floor we had to lift the wheelchair over the thresholds of the doors. The bathroom is accessible via 3 stairs. There is also a large step or gravel around the house that has to be negotiated. In addition, I don't think residents can be expected to be wheeled around the house in their pyjamas to get to the bathroom. The furnishing of the house for non-disabled people is very nice.
