Location and surroundings of object

The site is located on the same height level as the house of beach with private access, even existed in the rear area with shade trees, which is indeed kept clean, but is not developed for tourism. In the immediately adjacent stretch of beach, a well-kept beach with hire of sunbeds and parasols is operated. The beach is wide, sandy and very shallow in the sea, therefore also very suitable for children. The water is clean and clear, about 250 meters south begins the rocky coast, perfect for diving and snorkeling. From the beach you can enjoy a postcard-type view of the approximately 3 km away, on a hill by the sea enthroned Vieste. Gargano - the spur of Italy The Gargano has probably the most varied scenery of Puglia: The largest forest, the Foresta Umbra - over 11,000 hectares, mainly pines, huge oaks and beeches - is located between Vico and Monte S. Angelo, picturesque mountain villages. S. Angelo is a major center of ancient mountain culture and also the highest place of the Gargano (800 m). The famous Sanctuary of S. Michele Arcangelo is since ancient goal of believers. In addition to a Norman castle especially the medieval center perfectly preserved can be admired with its characteristic buildings. If the height of summer, the heat is oppressive at the sea, attracts a trip in this summer; panoramic roads and locations with genuine, local cuisine invite. The western part of the plateau is bare and stony and shows diverse karst phenomena: the sinkhole Pozzatina, one of many, is also one of the largest in Italy, the abyss of Campolato resembles a canyon. Of farmers and herdsmen true rock landscapes were formed because low walls enclose many possessions. Particularly impressive is of course the coast in the north, starting with long, flat sandy beaches, which are only interrupted by small rocky outcrops, and coastal lakes of Lesina and Varano, separated by a narrow coastal strip with sand dunes and lush vegetation from the sea. Both lakes, each about 50 square kilometers, but only a few meters deep, are very rich in fish and conservation area. From Rodi Garganico - an antique place and a chic and lively spa center - the coastal steep, rugged and incredibly varied. Bays with kl. Sand and gravel beaches, which are often accessible only by paths or by sea, enliven the green Coastline. Pine often up to the beach, their green crowns form a charming contrast to the bright white-yellow limestone cliffs. The still wonderful, crystal clear water is perfect for all kinds of water sports; Bathing season is from May to October, the most pleasant months of June and September, as they are not too hot and crowded. Definitely worth experiencing is the variety of sea caves, particularly between Vieste and Mattinata, the shimmer of light reflections in many colors - organized daily boat trips. Peschici is certainly one of the most beautiful seaside resorts: the medieval and well-preserved center with its white houses perched picturesque 90 m high on a rock above the sea. The idyllic streets with many kl. Shops and restaurants invite you to a leisurely stroll. Between the houses with their characteristic domed roofs of oriental origin, you can enjoy stunning views of the sea. At the foot of the village is a small. Sports and fishing port and the wide, sandy beach which is ideal for children (shallow water falling). In a wide, lush green embouchure is - usually embedded in centuries-old olive groves - a part of the dignified tourist offer of the place. The coast road to Vieste winds through dense green above the sea along. The reaching back to ancient origins Vieste also shows a beautiful medieval core and is the center of a quite pronounced summer tourism, demonstrating the wide range of hotels, apartments and camp sites. It is known of Pizzomunno, a limp like giant monolith that rises from the sandy beach. Wide lonely because inaccessible, is fantastic coastline between Vieste and Mattinata, with its limestone cliffs, ancient watchtowers and kl. Bays. Mattinata itself is surrounded by ancient olive groves and is a very well-kept, pretty old place. A worthwhile goal for the day are about 20 km ahead of the northern coast Tremiti Islands, a group of 3 islands and some cliffs: the barren natural rocky landscape and the absolute transparency of the water are fascinating; the fish-rich underwater world is particularly attractive to divers. Surely you will but learn to appreciate the excellent, aromatic cuisine which combines ingredients of the mountains and the sea, and the typical wines and artisan products (including woodworking, ceramics).
