Description
We are currently completing the renovation and modernisation of our house and expect to be ready for our guests again at the end of May 2023. - Further information - including our services and prices - will be posted on our website [Ostsee-Ferienhaus-Jellenbek.de] on an ongoing basis.
After the extension you will find a spacious living room with Danish stove and integrated modern fitted kitchen; 2 nice bedrooms, each with 2 single beds; a modern bathroom with shower and toilet, as well as another separate toilet and shower room. Our house can be occupied by a maximum of 4 people.
Dogs are welcome guests, also at the dog beach in the immediate vicinity.
Smokers will always find a dry spot under the canopy of the garden shed, even when it rains.

Location and surroundings of object
Start your bathing day on the natural beach directly from the house or go for extensive beach walks with beautiful views. The spa town of Surendorf, about 2.5 km from the beach, offers variety with 2 small restaurants, a surfing, sailing and diving school, beach chair rental and an ice cream parlour. Here you will also find a supermarket with bakery for your daily needs. Jellenbek is a small holiday home settlement directly on the Eckernförder Bay, in the north of the 'Dänischer Wohld'; quiet, relaxing and settled since the 13th century.

additional information about rental price:
| Electricity is charged individually. If you travel with a dog, then optional final cleaning € 90. Schwedeneck requires from 1 May to 15 Sep. from holiday guests a 'Kurabgabe' which we pay to the municipality. It amounts to 1,50 € per person and day. Children up to the age of 16 and physically disabled guests who are dependent on constant care are exempt from this. In return, you receive free access to the Schwedeneck spa beach. |
Cancellation terms:
Up to 35 days before the start of the rental: 25% of the rental price Up to 21 days before the start of the rental: 50% of the rental price Up to 14 days before the start of the rental: 80% of the rental price Less than 14 days before the start of the rental: 100% of the rental price. If re-rented, only a processing fee of €45 will be charged.

You can book a final cleaning of the house for € 105; for guests with dogs € 135. The additional costs (electricity and visitor's tax), as well as a possible additional booking, will be charged with the deposit of € 250 after departure.

Wonderful, happy to do it again!
The short version: Wonderful, happy to come back!
A little more detailed:
If you are looking for peace and quiet and a bit of seclusion, you will find it here. Excellent for simply slowing down.
The house with garden offers something for every weather condition (garden, fireplace, winter garden) and is well equipped
The landlord is very friendly, easy to reach and obliging. You can tell that he personally cares about the house, the area and his guests.
You are almost directly on the water (so that you can spontaneously look every evening to see if there is a spectacular sunset), the area is excellent to experience with a dog both above the cliffs and on the natural beach, as dogs are usually tolerated even away from the dog beach (which is quite stony)
If you want to read something negative, then we are "complaining on a high level": We were there at high outside temperatures, so we didn't have to heat, but if necessary you should definitely plan for costs for the night storage heaters. There is no washing machine, but we didn't need it. A freezer would have been nice in the bomb weather, but we were informed of this before booking, as well as the other points mentioned above.
To summarise again: We enjoyed our stay very much, we would like to come back!

Great holiday home
The holiday home is close to the natural beach/cliff, which is very stony in the immediate area, but becomes fine sand a little further on
The dog beach itself is stony, but dogs often run free on every part of the beach and no one complains
The house itself is very cosy and nicely furnished. One bedroom with two single beds is in the basement (with external blinds), the other also with two single beds is on the mezzanine floor (without blackout). The beds can be pushed together - but with a visitor's crack :-)
There is also a shower in the basement and a toilet with washbasin on the mezzanine.
The living room with kitchenette and adjoining winter garden is very cosy with a fireplace. There was enough firewood available
The garden is completely fenced.
The contact to the landlord is very pleasant and obliging! You can feel that a lot of love goes into the details of the holiday home and that the landlord has a personal interest in the guests having a great time and feeling comfortable!
The only thing to consider is the electricity costs for the night storage heating, but otherwise there are no surprises.
We spent a great week there with two children and a big dog and can only recommend the holiday home.

Der Küstenabschnitt in der Region unseres Ferienhauses ist ein Naturstrand, d.h. er verändert sich laufend von steinig über teilweise sandig zu voll sandig mit der Tendenz: Im Sommer eher sandig; im Herbst eher steinig.

A fabulous holiday accommodation
We were here for the second time and will definitely come back! We are a couple with two dogs and feel completely comfortable here. Cottage, property, grill... all around, despite high season (not too crowded), only nice and dog-friendly people, also at the endlessly long, alternating beach; also the beautiful wooded area with fields and gentle hills is perfect for dog walks or bike rides. Pure relaxation!
