Location and surroundings of object
You will find our holiday flat in the village of Weberstedt, on the outskirts 500 m from the Hainich National Park, approx. 4km to the treetop path with root cave and restaurant.
The Hainich is a mountain range in the middle of Germany in Thuringia. The nearest towns are Bad Langensalza and Mühlhausen 10 km, Gotha 30 km, Erfurt 40 km, Eisenach 35 km and Weimar 70 km.
To the Thuringian Forest 30 km and to the Harz Mountains approx. 90 km.
Only a few km away by car, after a short drive, you can visit beautiful sights in the surrounding area, such as the Opfermoor in Niederdorla, Friedenstein Castle in Gotha or the Friederikenschlösschen and the many parks in Bad Langensalza. Only a few kilometres away in Kammerforst there is a climbing park for young and old, as well as many hiking trails and a wildcat children's forest playground in the immediate vicinity.

Weberstedt, the gateway to the Hainich, has about 600 inhabitants. It is well catered for with a restaurant (Wed, Fri and Sun) and a bakery! Weberstedt has a large swimming pool for young and old, including a beach volleyball court. Weberstedt is also home to "Schloss Goldacker" with its health and conference centre "Meilenstein". In the adjacent castle park there is a children's playground as well as a mini-golf course and a play barn!

Very nice and child friendly flat
We felt comfortable in the flat from the first moment. We were surprised by the cleanliness, which is unusual for a holiday flat. The residential area is extremely quiet.
We came with our 18-month-old son and were pleased that a box full of toys was available. The sockets were protected and we preferred the cot to the travel cot we had brought with us.
As we came in summer, we unfortunately couldn't do anything with the existing fireplace, which certainly makes the flat even nicer in the cold season.
The Hainich nature park with the treetop path is a few kilometres away on foot, and by car you can visit beautiful sights in the surrounding area such as the Opfermoor in Niederdorla or the many parks in Bad Langensalza after a short drive.
