The modernly furnished vacation home, a semi-detached house, offers 72 sqm of space for max. 6 guests.
The house includes a spacious terrace and a garden, which is shared with 3 parties (they are very child and dog friendly). Also included is a lakeside property, which is about 100 m from the apartment, there is a private swimming spot incl. pier and rowboat.
The entire lakeside property is fenced, making it well-suited for a vacation with a dog. The waterfront property with its own dock and rowboat (from May 1 to October 15) belongs to the holiday home.
Fishing is possible from the dock. Garden furniture and bathing ladder are available.

From Hamburg, take the A24 towards Berlin. Then take the Gudow motorway exit.
Groß Zecher is about 12km away from the Gudow A24 exit.
Via Gudow to Hollenbek and Seedorf to Groß Zecher.
Our property is located in the middle of the village (Seeweg 4); the swimming area of the apartment (Seeweg 5) is right on the Schaalsee in a cozy bay.
The bathing property is fenced and spans about 400 sqm with direct access to the lake. There is a parking space on the property. Groß Zecher is located in the idyllic Lauenburg Lakes Nature Park and is situated directly on Lake Schaalsee. Since the year 2000, the lake has been part of the UNESCO NATURAL HERITAGE: The 309 km² conservation area is located between the metropolitan areas of Hamburg, Lübeck, and Schwerin. The 24 km² Lake Schaalsee is the centerpiece of the large protected area. However, it is not only Lake Schaalsee itself, but also the biotope-rich and species-rich landscape around Lake Schaalsee that makes the area so unique. The Schaalsee lake forms the boundary between the states of Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Before the fall of the inner German border, it was the border between East Germany and West Germany. The western side of Schaalsee was designated as the "Lauenburg Lakes" nature park in 1960. Our place is about 15 km away from Ratzeburg and Mölln. Zarrentin, with its noteworthy monastery, is just 8 km away by car. It has just over 100 residents. A nearby campsite with a beach swimming area and a playground (10 min. walk).
Right in town there is the famous fish restaurant "Maräne" (3 min walk).
Also within walking distance is a café.

Relaxing cycling holiday at the Schaalsee resort
We were two with our bicycles at the Schaalseedomizil and enjoyed our stay very much. The holiday home was super clean and lovingly furnished. We were very pleased with the nice welcome surprise. Thank you again for this.
The rowing boat was a great extra and rounded off our stay perfectly. Clear recommendation!

Angel vacation at Schaalsee

Dear Mrs. Schlabes,
we spent a wonderful 5 days in your beautiful house with a view of Lake Schaalsee. We are so glad that the Corona lockdown was lifted in time and that you took on the additional hygiene requirements so calmly!
The house is beautifully situated above the lake, with a spacious terrace and a lovely garden area, is excellently equipped, perfectly maintained, and comfortably furnished. The bathing area is just a few steps from the garden gate, which some of us used both in the morning (icy – but refreshing!) and in the evening after going to the small but nice in-house sauna. We also enjoyed the fireplace in the evening. We took advantage of the local supply within walking distance for freshly smoked fish (at the "Maräne") and delicious cake at the lakeside garden of the coach house nearby, but we also expanded the non-motorized radius with a rowing boat belonging to the house for a trip to Seedorf.
Thank you again for the warm welcome, we would love to come back!
