Highly recommended!

We spent two wonderful weeks at Villa Marela and nostalgically look back on this time.

Simply everything, from the reception, to the equipment, the location, through to our farewell, was absolutely top-notch.

Of particular note was the warm care and attention by Marijana and Igor. We felt at home with friends and lacked nothing.

We also really loved the beautiful location right by the sea with private access to the sea...simply delightful.

We would also like to mention the option of renting a small motorboat, which we did, so we could go shopping or eat along the sea route every day, which was much more relaxing than with a car, as the roads there are very narrow, which speaks to the original and untouched nature of the island.

Dear Marijana and Igor, we would like to thank you wholeheartedly for your magnificent hospitality and look forward to seeing you again next year.

Great holidays

We recommend Villa Marela cottage to everyone. Silence, peace, private beach, sea view, private boat, can come with a dog, fantastic hosts - Greetings Igor. There is a well-stocked grocery store on the island where you can pay by card, one nice tavern with good food and a great view. There is also a bakery in the center. There are two boules tracks so you can test yourself. Ferries run 4 times a day where you can go to visit Trogir. There is also a local fisherman on site where you can buy fresh fish. We recommend dorado fish, which you can prepare yourself in the cottage, outdoors, on the terrace. Igor and his wife were waiting for us with delicious treats. The hosts are very helpful and provide all the necessary information. Warm greetings.

Dream vacation

The landlords Marijana and Igor welcomed us and our two dogs very warmly and hospitably with Croatian specialties. The house is very clean and furnished with love. Everything you need is there. Beautiful garden, very quiet, breathtaking view over the bay. Igor and his wife Marijana were always available for questions and immediately helped. Short walk to the sea, sunbeds are available there. You have the opportunity to do water sports, rent a kayak, board or boat. All windows have insect screens. We left with the feeling of being friends and are already looking forward to next year.

Satisfaction

We were very satisfied with the accommodation, friendly atmosfere and clean sea. I would recommend to rent a boat as the morning shopping is fater and romantic. Also the there is a man coming every morning with fresh fish that you can buy.

Rooms are well equipped, we were 5 persons - enough space and two bathrooms are super.

Washing machine, owen, microwave, contact grill and dishwasher are also available.

Nice place for the family and we spent there a good time. Thanks.

Holiday with friends

Villa Marela on the island of Drvenik Veli offers everything you need to really forget the stress of everyday life. Everything is as described in the description. The location of the house with the short access to the sea is simply super. In the house everything is available what one needs In addition, one is in quite short time at the supermarket or baker. But what has to be emphasised again is the extraordinary hospitality of the Bajic family, which I had never experienced before in all my other holiday trips. You have the feeling that you are on holiday with friends.

Villa Marela

Dovolená ve Ville Marela byla úžasná. Zejména oceňujeme naprosté soukromí, veliký byt, perfektní terasu s grilem a nádherným výhledem do celé zátoky. Na pláži pod ubytováním jsme bývali úplně sami, značka ideál. Majitelé byli velice přátelští a úžasní lidé, kteří nás bohatě pohostili a se vším nás seznámili a ochotně poradili. Velmi jsme ocenili, že bylo možné si pronajmout od majitele malý motorový člun, kterým jsme se dopravovali do nedaleké vesnice a za nákupy. Toto ubytování můžeme všem jen a jen doporučit!!!

Great

Villa Marela is located on a part of the island with a few natives and tourists. The villa is about 1.5 km by dirt road from the ferry. Parking near the villa. The villa itself is fully and nicely equipped, with air conditioning, everything clean. A huge plus is the terrace with beautiful views, outdoor kitchen and pleasant temperature. It is a few steps to the clean perfect sea. A large pine tree will provide shade on the private "beach" with sun loungers. The sea after a few steps deep. In the "center" you can buy basic groceries. The old church is a nice destination for a walk with beautiful views. The owners Marijana & Igor are very nice, happy to help and advise everything, prepare excellent and welcome snacks on arrival. We enjoyed an amazing peaceful holiday full of sun, water and relaxation.

A sumptuous place, perfect for a relaxing vacation as a couple or family.

Everything was extraordinary. Thanks again to Igor and Marijana for their warm hospitality. The house was very clean, it has everything you need and more. However, the easy access to the sea and the terrace with breathtaking views will not make you spend much time inside. The summer kitchen and grill on the terrace are ideal for meals and romantic dinners. The beach is isolated, equipped with lounge chairs and provides the necessary shade on hot days. The sea is crystal clear, perfect for swimming day or night. We recommend renting a boat if you want to explore the area or go shopping without walking or driving.
This is our second stay at Villa Marela and we will be back, highly recommended.

On the day of our arrival, we were warmly welcomed with drinks, delicious food and their friendly and open-minded manner, so that we felt right at home
The house has everything you need for a holiday and more, furnished with love and very clean. The two terraces are perfect for the summer and access to the water is only a minute away. Refreshment is provided by the outdoor shower
One of our highlights was the private access to the Adriatic Sea. This and the location of the house made the holiday with our dog very relaxing. The motorboat was perfect for daily shopping at the grocer's and for small excursions
We felt very comfortable and are so enthusiastic that we will stay there again for a fortnight next year

Wonderful vacation

Our vacation was amazing, one of the best we had!Our wonderful hosts Marijana&Igor greeted us with home made delicious Viška pogača and welcome drinks.We really enjoyed their company, they gave us all the info on the island and everything important for our stay. We also rented a small motorboat, which we would highly recommend since moving around with a car is not convenient and not necessary at all. And the boat is such a fun, especially for those into fishing or exploring the bay. The house was just perfect, fully equipped, very comfy and the best of it is the sea view terrace with summer kitchen (and BBQ) which we enjoyed every evening. On top of all that, our "private" beach was just a few steps away from the house. Perfect vacation house, would highly recommend it to everyone, surely will come back!

Super nice vacation!

We, 4 adults with a dog, had a wonderful vacation at Villa Marela! Upon arrival, the landlords welcomed us with a very delicious and lovingly prepared meal on the great terrace with an amazing view! The house was very clean and we couldn't have asked for more in terms of amenities. It had everything we needed.

We arrived with our own boat, which was not a problem. There was a private jetty for it at the swimming spot of the house. The landlords also helped us a lot with organizing the boat. Unfortunately, the beach is not as secluded as initially expected from the pictures, but you still have peace and can spend some nice and relaxing days there in the shade or in the sun! Water shoes are an absolute must, as is the case in almost all of Croatia. It's not so easy for dogs to enter the sea, and we didn't find any alternatives on the island (for dogs).

If we would like to have such a quiet and relaxing vacation with the family again, we would gladly return to Villa Marela anytime with joy! :-)

Dream holiday at Villa Marela
Drvenik Veli - an island for relaxation, and Villa Marela - nothing stood in the way of a perfect vacation!
After a very long journey, we were warmly welcomed by our landlords with a typical Dalmatian meal, and we were completely overwhelmed by this hospitality, followed by another delicious lunch.
In the house, everything, and I mean everything, was available, plenty of space, a great private beach, crystal clear water, and lots of peace.
We felt very, very comfortable and will definitely come back in 2 years, as it doesn't work out schedule-wise next year.

Pure relaxation vacation

Special mention should be made of the super friendly landlords Marijana and Igor!
If you have questions on site, you can reach them easily at any time, for example, via WhatsApp!
The breathtaking view from the terrace is uniquely beautiful.
If you are looking for relaxation in a quiet environment, this is the perfect place.
It's best to simply leave your car parked while you are there!
Unfortunately, shopping locally is not that easy. There is only one small shop with essential food items and a bakery on the island. For a larger shopping trip, unfortunately, one must go to the mainland to the city of Trogir.

The equipment in the house is top-notch, and the private access to the water is great, but you should definitely bring water shoes.

There is Wi-Fi and German TV channels available. The television is adjustable with a swivel arm. We thank you very much for a relaxing vacation and maybe we'll see each other again someday. . . :-) !

Family holiday Croatia 2019

We were warmly welcomed on our vacation with Dalmatian cuisine by our hosts. After the long journey with our children, simply a dream. The house has all the comfort you need and leaves nothing to be desired, the kitchen and the grill on the terrace are a dream. It's about 30-40m to the water. Then you reach the small private beach. We just left the toys, towels, etc. overnight. No problem. For families like ours (4 people), the house is unreservedly recommended. We had a lot of fun here and were able to enjoy the vacation.

Pure relaxation!

We booked this accommodation spontaneously on the internet last year and were really excited to see if the dreamlike pictures and the consistently positive reviews lived up to their promise.

We have to say that Villa Marela absolutely lives up to its promise 100%! We were greeted very friendly by the landlords and immediately felt welcome. The accommodation offers a great and comprehensive range of amenities, leaving nothing to be desired. The terrace with its great view of the bay and the sea, including a summer kitchen and an outdoor grill, is an absolute highlight. This is where we spent most of our time when we were not at the private beach. The beach, just a few meters away on foot, was also fantastic and a place of relaxation.

The Villa Marela and the associated beach were very well maintained and clean. We arrived by car via the ferry from Trogir. Everything went smoothly, we reserved the ferry ticket online in advance. The car is not really needed on the island. The roads, mostly gravel and sometimes very bumpy, are not enjoyable for the car. Therefore, we only used it once during our stay when we visited the famous Blue Lagoon. As this is an absolute tourist magnet, we did not spend much time there and instead returned to the peace and seclusion of our own beach. The village can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes. Here you can buy the essentials in the village store. Larger purchases should be made in Trogir, with ferries running several times a day between the islands and the mainland. This is also an opportunity to visit the beautiful Trogir. We can recommend this accommodation without reservation!

We were now for the second time in Villa Marela.
This time it almost felt like coming home.
We are always overwhelmed by the warmth and hospitality of the landlords. The equipment is absolutely complete, the house very clean and lovingly decorated. The peace is simply wonderful. We will definitely come back!

Life by the sea

I start at the ferry port of Trogir. It was good that we had planned enough time. So we were one of the first in a line of cars. Excitedly we waited for the ride to "our" island. We turned into a nice little bay with the ferry and saw our landlords already waving. Marijana directed our car to the car park above the holiday home. The others enjoyed the crossing with Igor's boat. When we arrived at the house, we immediately had a cold beer and an excellent meal on the terrace overlooking the bay.
It turned out to be two very relaxing weeks, with the feeling of living on a desert island. Our two children moved wildly and freely. As a special surprise, the landlords prepared a delicious meal for us after one week and the older son even got a birthday present (jersey of Modric)! The farewell by Igor was just as warm as the welcome. Specialities from Dalmatia were given as a gift.
Life slows down, it's all about preparing food on the brick barbecue, swimming and boating in the sea, lazily watching the fishermen in the bay. Fragrant rosemary grows in the garden, adding flavour to many dishes. Olive trees sway in the wind. It is pure, unadulterated life by the sea.

Toller Urlaub in der Villa Marela

We had a great holiday in a beautiful house with a fantastic view over the sea. The crystal-clear water invited us to swim and go boating, and the shaded terrace was perfect for extensive reading and relaxation.

We brought many things from home that we didn't need, as the house has very good facilities, both in the kitchen and technologically. Our very warm hosts gave us a loving welcome and took excellent care of us throughout our stay, always ready to help and provide advice. We enjoyed our time at Villa Marela immensely.

Einmaliger Erholungsurlaub

It was simply an incredibly beautiful, relaxing, and unique vacation! :) The house was equipped with everything as advertised, and you could really enjoy the seclusion and tranquility every moment. The house's amenities left nothing to be desired. From the kitchen equipment, the outdoor grill, the private little beach area, fans in the bedrooms, the private small houseboat, everything was as described! In addition, the landlords are really super sweet, very open, and helpful! There was a small reception on the first day with Croatian food and a shared beer. :)

Our vacation for next year is already booked. We are looking forward to a reunion!

The place "Dvrenik Veli" is also a super nice and quiet fishing village. The locals are super nice and helpful. In the small village supermarket, you can get the essentials for survival. It is still highly recommended to stock up on basic groceries before arrival.
Next to the supermarket, there is also the island's post office where you can exchange money at fair rates and buy cigarettes.
The ferry to the mainland to Trogir is also very cheap. In Trogir or Split, you can visit very nice restaurants or markets to further equip yourself.

We can fully agree with the very positive reviews that have been written about this great holiday home so far. The holiday home is by far the most beautiful one we have ever rented. The house is superb and fully equipped, the surroundings and views as well as the crystal-clear water nearby are fantastic, and the landlords are exceptionally nice and helpful. Urlaub im Paradies

We were warmly and hospitably welcomed by the landlords of Villa Marena, Marijana and Igor Bajic. The wonderful location of the holiday home and its good amenities pleasantly surprised us. If you want to take a break from the hectic everyday life, this is the right place for you. From the terrace, you have a wonderful view of the sea. The sunsets are fascinating. The scent of lavender, sage, and rosemary is beneficial for body and soul. Some leaves have also landed in the food. The outdoor kitchen is just fun. A short walk leads to the bathing area. We found it perfect for us, questioned many things in our "normal" life, and discovered a lot of beautiful things. We are very grateful for this experience.

Great when it comes to peace and relaxation

I spent a wonderfully quiet and relaxing week here. The house is comfortable and appealing, modern and fully equipped, and lovingly decorated. Everything is there from two refrigerators to microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine (not a "German" coffee maker, but a portafilter espresso machine), toaster (in the form of a sandwich maker), washing machine, air conditioning in the living area. In addition, there is a summer kitchen on the terrace with a 2-burner stove, sink, built-in grill - even wood, charcoal, and starters are available. Everything else was also there, from hand and kitchen towels to dish soap, salt, and all the other little things that are often missing. Plus, satellite TV with practically all imaginable channels on a modern flat-screen TV, well-functioning Wi-Fi. There is nothing standing in the way of a pleasant stay - especially after being welcomed and instructed by the landlord in a way (including a welcome meal and the first bottle of wine in the refrigerator) as if one were an old friend - truly exceptional! Thank you both! The highlight is the terrace slightly above the sea with the mentioned summer kitchen, seating area, and comfortable loungers, and the private spot by the water with 2 cozy loungers in the natural shade (additional sun umbrella available if needed) and access to the truly crystal-clear water. The small village with an island shop, 2 konobas at the harbor, a post office (currency exchange), and even in the evening with a souvenir stand, a corresponding shop, and an ice cream stand can be reached either on foot along a path (if you want to walk continuously along the water, with some scrambling over cliffs in some places) or -better and for us, because it's unusual and much nicer- with the inflatable boat to rent (enough fuel available). Mooring in front of the house is even possible at dusk, because directly above the spot above the path is a "street light" attached.

Very satisfied!

Upon our arrival at the port, we were warmly greeted by the landlords. Subsequently, we drove to the house where we were warmly welcomed on the terrace with drinks and a delicious snack. We had never experienced such a loving welcome before, simply great, and we immediately felt comfortable.
Afterwards, there was a tour of the house, everything was shown and explained very nicely in German and English.
The house is beautifully furnished and has everything necessary. The garden with an outdoor shower, olive trees, and terrace is lovingly designed and was very well maintained; our small dog felt completely at ease there. The path to the sea and the small rocky beach section is just a stone's throw away, simply amazing to have such a small corner of beach all to oneself; there were two loungers and an umbrella stand there (sunshade available in the house). We took full advantage of the opportunity to rent the small boat, which was perfect for going into the harbor or simply taking a few laps in the beautiful bay. There are also a few shopping options such as a bakery, a small grocery store, a little ice cream stand, and two restaurants. For larger purchases, it is recommended to take the ferry to the city (Trogir) as there is not everything on the island. We had, however, brought everything necessary in terms of food.
For those who love peace and seclusion, this is the perfect place, ideal for a quiet relaxing holiday. The beautiful terrace with the great outdoor kitchen, the sunbeds, and sea view invite you to relax.
It was a very relaxing week, and we were completely satisfied, highly recommended. On departure, we received a small farewell gift from the landlords. We would have liked to stay longer. Thank you very much for the delightful time at Villa Marela.

Recreational vacation

If you are looking for relaxation on vacation, this is the perfect place for you! The house is fully equipped, so you don't need to bring anything. The view of the sea from the terrace is beautiful. The outdoor kitchen and private bathing spot are especially great. The house provides enough space for six people. You cannot drive directly to the house by car; you have to park about 200 meters away. You can do your shopping in the village using the available inflatable boat, so you don't need a car during the vacation. The landlords are extremely nice and accommodating.
In the village, there is a small shop, a post office, a bakery, and two restaurants. In the shop, you can get the most essential groceries. If you need meat for grilling, you either take it with you or order it in the shop. Chicken meat is usually available.
Cigarettes are purchased at the post office.

We have spent many years trying to find this place. Private (all yours). Peaceful. Fabulous facilities - ax, wifi, dishwasher, washing machine etc. Next to the sea. Own mooring and use of dinghy if required
Beautiful island. Nature. Snorkelling. Local helpful shop that will order things you need if not there. Two good restaurants. Post office. Quads, bike and boat hire.
This was our second stay and we have already booked for next year.
The owners could not be more helpful or accommodating. This is a fabulous place.

Holiday stay

Very well-equipped, freshly renovated holiday home in very good technical condition. Among other things, access to free, wireless internet connection. Located in an ideal and peaceful place on a small hill, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Breakfasts on a large terrace with a view of the sea will be unforgettable for a long time. The private beach is located about 35m away.

In the village of Drvenik Veli, 1200m from the holiday home, there are two restaurants and a shop. Every day you can buy fresh fish at the port. You can rent a boat from the owner. Very nice and helpful hosts, welcoming guests in a truly Polish style. Available on the phone all the time.
