Description

Il Cedro is an ideal starting point to explore Tuscany. The house is located at the foothills of Montalbano between Montecatini Terme and Vinci. Nearby is the picturesque medieval village of Larciano Alto and Cecina di Larciano. The large garden offers the opportunity to relax, an in-panoramic location pool (10 x 4 x m) provides for a refreshing swim. At the pool, guests can dine under a pavilion and use the garden grill, garden 3000 sqm.

In the summer months, Luigi, the padrone and his family offers their guests homemade pizza, which they produce in the pizza oven itself. We would vacation there again anytime.

We were very satisfied with the accommodation; everything was as described and very clean. The landlords were very friendly and helpful and even invited us for pizza and wine. The pictures of the pool and the surrounding area should be updated, as some things have changed (more loungers and umbrellas, handrail at the entrance...). For the efficient operation of the dishwasher, a bit more cutlery would be beneficial, but that's nitpicking. We would vacation there again anytime.

Super estate

We had a very nice stay, where there is nothing to complain about. Our Flora also had great days with family dog Molly. Can be recommended without hesitation.
One note maybe: the description should be revised. Luigi passed away at the end of last year. Therefore, the family atmosphere and pizza evenings are missing.
There is also still mourning. But we understood that.
We would come back.

the pizza was very tasty...

We enjoyed our time at Il Cedro I very much. Everything was very well maintained and clean. The pool is serviced and maintained every day. The hosts are very, very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, they can only speak Italian, but we were able to talk a little with hands and feet. The pizza evening to which the family invited us was very entertaining and the pizza was very, very tasty

the landlords are very nice and helpful

Il Cedro is really great for two families, you can also withdraw from time to time. Everything is very clean and nicely furnished.
The pool and the grounds are clean and large. We had more of a lazy holiday this year.
The landlords are very nice and also helpful. Wine and limoncello are available on site. The pizza evening was great and very tasty. The only drawback was the wifi, which didn't work so well, but you're on holiday and not busy with your mobile phone.
There are many things to do and see in the area.
The owners' dog is really friendly and our dog had a lot of fun.

we felt very comfortable

We were on site during the above-mentioned period. We can only report absolutely positive things about the accommodation and the warmth of the landlords. For us, it was the first vacation where we didn't have to make any compromises at all. The landlords were simply great and if we had any wishes, they were immediately fulfilled. The spacious property with its pool, the setting in front of the mountains, is simply beautiful and relaxing. One evening during our holiday, the landlords invited us to eat pizza, which was prepared in the pizza oven. There was wine, dancing, music, and a lot of fun. All in all, it shouldn't be a secret anymore! The property with its landlords is absolutely recommendable. Of course, it is also tailored to children in a special way. Our children had a lot of fun and felt very comfortable.

Most relaxing vacation in a long time

We had booked a week at IlCedro. It was the most relaxing vacation in a long time. The tranquility is legendary. All cultural sites are easily explored in a day. And then back to the private pool. The Salerno family was very kind and attentive. The language barriers were unfortunately challenging as we do not speak Italian. The property was completely fenced, with access through an electric gate, allowing us to leave the windows open during the day as well. The beds are comfortable. In the kitchen, everything is available except for a sharp meat knife. Simply great days in Tuscany.

Il Cedro - Luigi Salerno

This is the second time we have vacationed at this place. The Salerno family remains true to itself: welcoming (offering vegetables from the garden, as well as homemade wine, inviting us to join a pizza dinner), considerate, and discreet. The rented place is very clean and has all the necessary amenities. The pool and garden are well-maintained. The location allows for visiting numerous cities in Tuscany without traveling long distances. It was a pleasure to go back there.

we felt very comfortable and enjoyed the holiday

It was our first vacation in Tuscany (1 week in June 2016). We felt very comfortable with Luigi and his family. The house itself and the "oasis (pool area)" are very beautiful. Communication was a bit difficult at the beginning (our Italian was very basic and Luigi and his family didn't speak German or English). But this fact made our stay even more interesting. Luigi and his wife spoiled us with fresh lemons, fruits, and vegetables from their own garden, as well as homemade olive oil and wine from the family vineyard. The "pizza evening" was fantastic, with family friends joining us with some knowledge of German and good English skills, resolving the communication issues of the previous days. The documents we received before the trip were also very helpful. We also have to mention that Luigi promptly sent us a ring we had forgotten back home. For that and for the warm welcome, our heartfelt thanks once again. If you are looking for a quiet and spacious base for trips to the region of Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Vinci, and other places nearby, you will certainly feel well looked after by Luigi and his family.

We spent wonderful days in Venice.

Il Cedro - We spent 8 wonderful days from 21 to 28 May 2016 together with a befriended family. The house itself and the "oasis" are a dream. Also, the "pizza evening" was great, of course. The host Luigi and his family took great care of us. We also appreciated the information provided to us beforehand as a helpful guide. The central location to visit all the nearby cities of interest is also worth mentioning. As far as possible, we will try to extend our vacation to 10 days next year.

Wonderful two weeks at "Il Cedro".

"Il Cedro" - we spent two wonderful weeks there in July 2015. The landlords were very nice and helpful, the shared pizza evening was great. The pizzas were a dream and the evening very lovely. The property is completely fenced, which was very practical for our dogs. The apartments are beautiful and very clean. The pool and the entire outdoor area were also very well maintained.
