Description
At the moment, television reception is unfortunately not possible due to differences with the owner of the neighboring property. Three trees would have to be felled. However, the given consent has been withdrawn. We are working on a solution. Unfortunately, this is currently not yet in sight! ! ! We thank you for your understanding and apologize for the inconvenience. We expect a solution to the problem in April/May 2026.

Location and surroundings of object
The holiday cabin is located approximately 13 kilometers north of the town of Lyngdal on a hillside by a small lake surrounded by mountains. The paths are well-developed and signposted.
Unfortunately, the cabin is not suitable for people with physical disabilities due to its hillside location and structural properties.
Lyngdal is a small, tranquil town with about 7,000 residents. There you can find all daily necessities. In the town center, there is a tourist information where valuable tips for leisure activities and many other activities can be inquired about. Also always worth a visit is the indoor pool directly by the Rosfjord.
For day trips, tours to Lindesnes, Mandal, Farsund, Kristiansand, or Stavanger are available. Close by is the Kvåsfossen, an impressive waterfall with a newly constructed salmon ladder.
At the Lysefjord (Rogaland), the Preikestolen and the Kjeragbolten are located. Sturdy footwear and physical fitness are required for both attractions. A travel time of 2 1/2 to 3 hours (one way) should be planned. Also worth visiting is the Mövik cannon museum, near Kristiansand.

A beautiful place, highly recommended!
We were alone in the house for a week and we felt at home right away!
It was simply noticeable how clean and tidy everything was and whatever you needed, it was just there. We also had a few rainy days but even then you can enjoy the beautiful view. The only very small disadvantage and at the same time maybe also an advantage is that there is poor reception with your phone for calling and certainly for the internet, but well, it is also nice not to always be reachable, you rarely experience that anymore, and it helps, besides the beautiful surroundings, also extra to really relax! Especially enjoyed the beautiful sunrises. And it is also lovely to sit outside on the deck on a sunny day! We fished from the boat once, which was super fun, but we didn't catch much; we had more success from the pier, but only caught a few small trout. But that doesn't make it any less enjoyable! ? The owners were friendly and always responded quickly to any questions. I would definitely recommend this house; it's also a nice route to Lyngdal where you can find various supermarkets. You can enjoy touring the area, and a visit to the salmon passage is definitely recommended.

Dreamlike vacation in beautiful surroundings
We were a family with three generations (including two teenagers) and are absolutely thrilled. This first holiday home vacation in Norway was simply fantastic! The house is beautiful, incredibly cozy, and located in a dreamlike setting right by the lake. We lacked nothing; the equipment is top-notch, and there was nothing missing. The host, Mr. Kasten, is always very friendly, very reachable, and helpful. The holiday home is just as described online... and even more beautiful :-)
We can really recommend a break in this beautiful house to everyone. We would (and will definitely) come back anytime.
Thank you very much!

Everything you need for a relaxing holiday in Norway.
We were four with a dog in the holiday home in July 2026. The location is ideal for people seeking peace and scenic beauty. Slightly elevated, you look directly at the clear lake, which has many small trout. Opposite, steep cliffs rise into the sky. A boat is available. You can swim well in the lake - either from your own dock (somewhat muddy ground) or better jump into the water from the cliffs opposite. In the house itself, everything, really everything, is there that one needs - just like at home. We felt very comfortable. The wooden house is very cozy. The TV didn't work, but we didn't miss it either. After a 15-minute drive, you are at the fjord and also in the town of Lyngdal. The river of the same name invites salmon anglers - you can also fish well from the shore in the fjord. The salmon museum is worth a visit, which is also about a 15-minute drive from the holiday home. There you can observe the salmon swimming upstream.
All in all, a wonderful location and a very nice and friendly German landlord.

Pure relaxation! ?
This cabin is a dream. It is located in the middle of the wonderful nature of Norway and invites relaxation with a view of the lake and the mountains. The amenities are top-notch - nothing is missing. No matter what we needed, we found it. The contact with the landlords was great - very friendly, helpful, and nice people. Always available for questions! The cleanliness of the cabin was exceptional. Just a place to feel good and relax. The center of Lyngdal is reachable by car in a few minutes. Some sights of Norway are also reachable in under an hour (e.g. the salmon ladder, Skrelia, Rosfjord, Korsham, Lindesnes (the southernmost lighthouse in Norway))! This cabin is simply a place for everyone. Whether for relaxing, exploring nature, or discovering the culture of Norway - we will definitely come back. Thank you very much for this unforgettable time!

10 days vacation
Our stay was simply paradise. As a couple, we were able to spend a wonderful and relaxing time here. The location of the cabin is ideal for long walks in nature. We especially enjoyed fishing at the opposite lake, which was an exciting and practical experience for us.
The view from the dining table was simply fantastic, almost breathtaking. Waking up every morning to this view was an unforgettable highlight. The little house itself was super equipped and very tidy. We really lacked nothing! From kitchen utensils to cozy blankets, everything one could wish for was available.
We would come back anytime and can recommend this wooden cabin to anyone looking for a break in nature and values comfort and a great location. A true insider tip for couples and nature lovers!
