Description

At the moment, television reception is unfortunately not possible due to differences with the owner of the neighboring property. Three trees would have to be felled. However, the given consent has been withdrawn. We are working on a solution. Unfortunately, this is currently not yet in sight! ! ! We thank you for your understanding and apologize for the inconvenience. We expect a solution to the problem in April/May 2026.

Location and surroundings of object

The holiday cabin is located approximately 13 kilometers north of the town of Lyngdal on a hillside by a small lake surrounded by mountains. The paths are well-developed and signposted.
Unfortunately, the cabin is not suitable for people with physical disabilities due to its hillside location and structural properties.
Lyngdal is a small, tranquil town with about 7,000 residents. There you can find all daily necessities. In the town center, there is a tourist information where valuable tips for leisure activities and many other activities can be inquired about. Also always worth a visit is the indoor pool directly by the Rosfjord.
For day trips, tours to Lindesnes, Mandal, Farsund, Kristiansand, or Stavanger are available. Close by is the Kvåsfossen, an impressive waterfall with a newly constructed salmon ladder.
At the Lysefjord (Rogaland), the Preikestolen and the Kjeragbolten are located. Sturdy footwear and physical fitness are required for both attractions. A travel time of 2 1/2 to 3 hours (one way) should be planned. Also worth visiting is the Mövik cannon museum, near Kristiansand.

10 days vacation

Our stay was simply paradise. As a couple, we were able to spend a wonderful and relaxing time here. The location of the cabin is ideal for long walks in nature. We especially enjoyed fishing at the opposite lake, which was an exciting and practical experience for us.

The view from the dining table was simply fantastic, almost breathtaking. Waking up every morning to this view was an unforgettable highlight. The little house itself was super equipped and very tidy. We really lacked nothing! From kitchen utensils to cozy blankets, everything one could wish for was available.

We would come back anytime and can recommend this wooden cabin to anyone looking for a break in nature and values comfort and a great location. A true insider tip for couples and nature lovers!

Expectations exceeded

Very beautiful!

The location directly on the rarely traveled access road to a few other houses appealed to us. Due to the elevated position of about 30 steps, we always had a very nice view of and over the lake.
The house itself had a lot of charm for us. Since the owners also spend their holidays there, it looks lively and cozy, there is no lack of household items and supplies. There were groceries, spices, drinks, etc. available, so that in case one arrived empty-handed, there would be food and drink (and of course, you refill...). This, and the fact that even the boats and fishing equipment can be used, requires a great deal of trust in the guests, which one does not want to disappoint. We immediately felt very comfortable. Anyone who thinks that only large hotel beds are the best, does not know about the coziness of narrower, self-built, and, above all, non-creaking bunk beds. The outdoor toilet and weak mobile phone reception (nowadays already an adventure? ...) were of course unusual, but ultimately rather enriching. We could both hike directly from the house and drive a few kilometers to nearby places, peninsulas, fjords, and other sights. It was a super beautiful, relaxing week.

Pure Norway

Very beautiful location, pure relaxation.
Ideal for dog owners!
Very attentive landlords, the house was preheated. The equipment was very good, the mattresses could be slightly thicker for people with back problems.

A dream with a lot of calmness.

This accommodation has a lot of charm and does not disappoint in any way. Anyone who books this accommodation knows that they are booking peace in nature. The facilities in the house are more than sufficient and the price-performance ratio is simply top. There is a lot to discover in front of the door or in the surrounding area. This house was the start of our small tour through southern Norway and the start of a fresh love. We can only recommend the accommodation and the country to anyone who is considering getting to know something special. Simply unique!

Beautiful, rustic holiday home

The holiday home is rustic and top furnished. We didn't miss anything. In case of rainy weather, we had a selection of game collections. Arriving and feeling comfortable with a view of the beautiful little lake. The jetty at the lake is very inviting to sit and relax in the sunshine. The path from the parking lot to the house is a bit difficult with luggage, but doable. There is hardly any mobile phone reception, so if you want to switch off completely, it's just right.

Cabin vacation by the lake

The cabin, located on a hillside, is a wonderful place to disconnect from everyday life, enjoy nature and tranquility. Everything has been thought of and we didn't miss anything. The terrace invites you to look out over the lake. With the boats, you can explore the lake or go fishing. Swimming is possible, but it only gets shallow in a few places. There are many great excursion possibilities in the area. It is possible with small children, but not optimally suitable because of the stairs. The landlords make a lot of effort and answer all questions promptly. It can only be recommended and we are happy that we spent our vacation there.

Gladly again :-)

The cottage gets only top marks from us, we wanted for nothing and the accommodation is beautiful! Just like the whole area
Of course, in Norway it has to rain sometimes, otherwise all the waterfalls don't work, but here too we were more lucky than unlucky. Mosquitoes came in the evening but only at the lake and ended all fishing activities, in the cabin insects were not an issue at all.
The children were happy that there was German TV.
The landlady is very nice and reliable, we would love to stay here again!
