This ancient rural estate enjoys excellent position in Western Sicily panoramic hill country dominated position; a region where the vineyards dominate shops and good country trattorias in and near Fulgatore and Napola (2 km), winery with delicious vin in, highway entrance at 2,5 km (Palermo-Trapani), Erice 20 km, Val D'Erice 12 km, Segesta with Greek temples and ancient city 12 km, Trapani (Ferry for Egadi) and the nature reserve of saltworks 10-15 km, the sandy beaches near Marausa 15 km, but also the Punic lagoon city Mozia, Marsala and Selinunte are in less than an hour's drive! Erice, with its unusual location -it seems to touch the sky want- since ancient times a sanctuary Elymian and Carthaginians to which has formed an impregnable city. Today Erice is perhaps the most charming town in Sicily, seem with narrow streets, to be where time stood still between the clean stone walls. "Surely it is in the summer heat, a pleasant place, it's from the beaches of Val d'Erice and Lido Bonagia only 12-15 km away.
The provincial capital of Trapani is an old port city with an important ferry terminal and a quite attractive old town. From here you can quickly reach the Egadi with its crystal clear and yet rich ocean and its largely untouched nature. The island of Pantelleria is not far.
Other interesting highlights in direction Marsala the salt pans with their quaint windmills, one of which has been restored as a museum mill outstanding.
The lagoon island of Mozia, an early colony of Carthage, is a great archaeological park and museum.
Further south followed Marsala, a lively city with colorful markets and many shops, and a beautiful old town.
