Great cozy accommodation

We felt very comfortable in the accommodation. We felt right at home. Everything was super clean and super sweetly decorated.
The landlords informed us in detail beforehand and during our stay they checked if everything was fine. Great communication!
We will definitely spend another vacation here.

Verlängertes Wochenende

We booked the accommodation for a long weekend for 2 people. The price listed here increased by 16€ when we contacted the landlord directly. The travel documents arrived (after our inquiry) only 2 days before the trip. Upon arrival, we were surprised because the accommodation was not the one shown in the pictures. The furnishings and decor seemed mismatched. The double bed was only 1.40m, and the second bedroom had a single bed and a bunk bed. The accommodation is suitable for 2 people, but definitely not for 5. Especially since the couch and dining table were not sufficient for that. The lack of an oven was a downside, and the kettle had to be descaled first. The garden table was so peeling and damaged that we did not sit at it. Unfortunately, the garden also looked unkempt. Beach 300m yes, but unfortunately clothing-optional (FKK) beach. Without a bike or car, everything requires long walks. A deposit of 250€ had to be paid. We only received it back after asking twice over a month later (According to the landlord: because some damages might not be immediately visible!). Apart from the TV set, there was nothing in the house of value, and what damages can only be seen after 4 weeks? All in all, our conclusion is: the accommodation was unfortunately not worth over 80€ per day (pre-season price!)

Great holiday home for a beach vacation

We stayed in the holiday home in July 2020 during the Corona period. The landlord provided us with all the necessary information in advance so that we could prepare for the situation. The house is very clean and has everything you need. There is even a handcart and beach toys available, and for the terrace outside, there are garden furniture and a parasol. The beautiful and spacious sandy beach is within walking distance, and the bakery is not far away. For a change, you can reach Bruges in 30 minutes, a truly worth-seeing city that you can visit multiple times.

Toller Kurzurlaub

First of all, many thanks to Gert and Anke for their flexibility in these special times! Due to travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we were unable to travel during the planned travel period, which was uncertain for a long time. Even though it remained unclear until the end whether we could travel, we did not have to pay the remaining amount yet. We were able to reschedule to a later date easily and without any complications. Thank you! The vacation home is a well and tastefully furnished semi-detached house in a closed holiday park. The transmission of the codes for the gates and the key box worked well via email. So the handover was very uncomplicated.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Even the pots and pans are good and easy to wash - which is rather rare in vacation rentals. The only thing, in my opinion, that could still be useful in the kitchen is a large salad bowl.
The house is located at the edge of the village towards De Haan. You can quickly reach the bakery by bike and through the underpass under the highway/tram, you arrive at the wonderful, unspoiled beach with beautiful, walkable sand dunes. Both the bakery and the beach are also easily accessible on foot, and thanks to the wheelbarrow and shovels in the garden shed, it's also great for families with young children. To reach supermarkets or the center, bicycles, a car, or the tram would be good, as it is a bit too far to walk.
From the holiday home, you can make many excursions and bike tours. Information on this will be provided shortly before arrival by the hosts.
We had a very relaxing and lovely time in Bredene at the holiday home, and our boys (8 and 10 years old) would love to come back again. The contact with the landlord was always good.
So, we will be back :-))
P. S. The sunsets on the beach are a dream!

Very good

We stayed in the holiday house for 10 days. The terraced house is relatively quiet on a side street in Bredene in a small enclosed residential park. Living room with kitchen and bathroom with toilet on the ground floor, the two bedrooms upstairs. Everything clean and fully equipped. Fast communication with property management and landlord. About 15 min. walk to the beach and the coastal tram (tram along the Belgian coast). Grocery stores, bakeries, and restaurants easily accessible on foot or by car. Highly recommended.

Very good.

We stayed in this cottage for 2 nights and always gladly return!!! Everything was clean and well-equipped. Even children were considered. Outside in the cottage, there is a handcart and toys for the beach. There are also toys for indoor play like puzzles, memory games, and building blocks. The beach is a 10-minute walk away. There are also shopping options available. Either a 5-minute drive, a good 20 to 30 minutes on foot, or 1 station by S-Bahn. All in all, everything top-notch and highly recommended.

> Bedrooms upstairs accessible by very steep stairs
> Bedrooms upstairs and toilet/bathroom downstairs on the ground floor - it's not easy for someone needing to use the toilet at night - not necessarily recommended for older people - if we had read this in the house description beforehand, we would not have booked the house

But for everyone else, the holiday home is very suitable. Basically, we also felt comfortable.

Fast, factual and cordial communication from the first contact / enquiry to the final settlement (refund of deposit). The information package put together by the landlord, which is sent before arrival, not only describes all the relevant details for use in and around the house, but also gives valuable tips on the surrounding area. The house is modernly equipped and impeccably clean and corresponds to the typical style of the country. Quiet location and proximity to the beach (300 m on foot) as well as short distance to the centre of Bredene testify to a good location. The property is child-friendly and toys are available on site. Trips to nearby Brugge, Ghent, Antwerp or even nearby neighbouring France (Lille, Calais, Dunkirk) can provide further variety. We felt very comfortable and will come again.

The holiday home is very quiet and well equipped. The children were also taken care of and toys were provided for inside and outside. The children can play outside and the whole area is completely fenced.
The only thing that would have been nice for us is if there had been a small electric barbecue. Otherwise everything was great and we will book again in 2019.

Beautiful holiday home

we were there at short notice for our daughter and family due to illness and can only say that we were very satisfied. The holiday home is very modern, everything is tidy and there is nothing missing.
The way to the beach is close and also shops are easy to reach.

Very relaxed holiday

The cottage is well and modernly furnished and everything you need was there. The sunny terrace with the fenced garden is also nice, where you can securely store your bicycles within the small complex.
Shops such as COLRUYT (highly recommended!), ALDI and LIDL and the centre of Bredene are easily accessible by bike, the nearby Kusttram or by car. Excursions, walks on the beach and especially bicycle tours could be easily started from the holiday home. In any case, we had a great time!
The communication with the landlord was quick and uncomplicated, although we were a bit sceptical about the portal at first. Information regarding the house, the journey, the surroundings etc. was extensive. Our unfortunately delayed departure due to vehicle damage was no problem - thank you very much again for the uncomplicated accommodation!
5 stars from us, we will be happy to come back!

Relaxing holiday

The house is for very well located and secured. The house is very well equipped. The house is well equipped, but the sloping roof in the children's sleeping area is a drawback: they slept the other way round so they didn't bang their heads on the ceiling. The beach is very easy to reach on foot. We often went to the nearby town of Oostende. Highly recommended! We will come back again!

Simply great - great accommodation !!!

We, meaning my husband, our 14-year-old son, and I, felt very comfortable in this little cottage. Communication with the landlord was excellent from the start. Information regarding the house, arrival, the surroundings, and more was abundant. On the day of arrival, we had to realize that the booked bed linen was accidentally forgotten. I contacted the landlord with a brief email, and shortly afterward, while we were still unloading, a cleaning lady arrived at the door and provided us with bed linens.
Other than that, the cottage is modernly furnished, and everything is abundantly available, perhaps lacking only a larger salad bowl.
Stores like LIDL, COLRUYT, ALDI, and others are easily accessible by bike, as well as by the Coastal Tram and car. Excursions to Bruges, museum in Bruges, Fort Napoleon in Ostend, Zoute Grand Prix in Knokke, Atlantikwall Museum Raversijde, and walks on the beach as well as our bike tours were just some of the activities we could start super easily from the holiday home.
5 stars from us and we would love to come back.

Very good and inexpensive.

We spent a week in the holiday apartment. Contact with the landlord via email was problem-free and answered by the next morning at the latest. The equipment of the house left nothing to be desired for us. Thanks to the landlord's information emails, operating the microwave/oven combo unit was also not a problem.

There is plenty of space for two people. On the upper floor, there are two bedrooms: one large one with a double bed and a small one with two single beds. The terrace gets afternoon sun.
For a technical issue with the satellite receiver, a simple email to the landlord was enough, and shortly after, a solution was suggested.

Unusual was the fact that the house is located within a closed area in Dahiapark. Access is through a gate/door with a numeric code.
The (nudist) beach is located just under 300 meters from Dahiapark. On the first walk to the beach, one wonders that it goes over a highway and over the tracks of the coastal tram, and then through the dunes to the beach. This is the shortest way; those who want it more comfortable take a 500 m detour.
Shopping facilities like Aldi, Lidl, etc. are about 2-3 km away and easily reachable by bicycle. There are well-developed bike paths that also allow a tour to Oostende (about 8 km). What we like about the accommodation and the location in Bredene is the absence of high-rise buildings on the promenade. Those who want to understand what this means should get a day ticket for the coastal tram (8 Euro) and ride towards Knokke.

We can recommend this holiday apartment with a clear conscience.

Schöner Urlaub in Bredene

A very nice and well-equipped holiday home.
Short walk to the beach and easily manageable with the provided handcart, even with a lot of luggage.
We felt very comfortable with our 2 children (11 and 6 years old) and the house offers enough space.
Although my husband had some adjustment problems with the mattress in the first week, it passed. On the day of arrival, the Wi-Fi initially didn't work, but after contacting the landlords, the issue was quickly resolved and we were able to go online with multiple devices without any problems.
The only thing that was missing for us is a larger salad bowl, because as salad fans, the existing bowl was a bit small, but we can easily manage without it! However, it would be great if, in addition to the handcart, a windshield for the stall could be provided in the basic equipment, as it can be quite windy by the sea! But other than that, we were very satisfied and recommend the holiday home without hesitation. Therefore, 5 stars from us. :-)

It was very nice, the weather was also good. The only thing that was not nice was the construction site and being woken up every morning at 7 by the noise of trucks during the holiday. It would have been nice to be informed about that.

Before arrival, we received various information about the holiday home and the area - we were also informed about a construction site in front of the house. The holiday home is very nicely furnished, TV reception and Wi-Fi worked very well. The village of Bredene is easily accessible on foot. The only thing missing was an oven. The available microwave with grill unfortunately could not compensate for that.

We felt very comfortable (despite a day of rain).

The contact was quick and very good. The information before the vacation was very good and detailed.
We were there with our son (16) . . . it is a difficult age, but even he was very satisfied in this cottage. Internet worked without problems, all devices (3 phones, two laptops) worked in Wi-Fi in all rooms. The German programs are absolutely sufficient, even our Netflix worked. The facilities are very good, we would have even managed with fewer glasses :-), everything was clean upon arrival, nothing smelled unpleasant. There were no floods in the bathroom while showering. There is enough space for cosmetics in the bathroom.
The location is perfect. Everything is within walking distance (beach, shop, bar, glass recycling container, bakery, center...)
If the cottage were to be upgraded, bikes and a grill could be provided, and possibly a washing machine could be installed. We will try to rent the little house again in Belgium on our next vacation. The three of us would come back and will recommend the house to our friends. Thank you and greetings from Wetzlar.

Did not get the deposit back, house with deficiencies,...

The house looked great in the pictures, the reviews were convincing, and the contact beforehand was super.

Then we arrived...

There is no oven, only a microwave, whose use is questionable because there is no user manual.
Shower leaked, bathroom was always flooded after showering.
Double bed and the two small beds squeak, are sagging, and offer no comfort, a NoGo for people with back problems.
Stairs very steep, almost fell down twice. Kitchen cabinets and contents smell. Internet often out when we arrived and garbage bin overflowing.

The house was clean upon arrival and the location is good.

Sent an email to the landlord on-site, initially got a response that we would receive a partial refund upon departure, then responded again and have not received a response since then, nor have we received the deposit (250€) back.
It hurts the wallet.

Very beautiful house and great vacation

We were there with our 3 children, or rather 2 older children and a baby. Everything worked out great, from the reservation to the arrival. The house is really nicely furnished, small but nice! Everything you need is really there, and we thought that was great. Very clean and there was even a little grocery store for the kids, and lots of games and puzzles. Travel cot and high chair were immediately available. The bakery can be reached in 5 minutes on foot, just like the sea. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the location, otherwise there is the tram or by car. The deposit is refunded very quickly, and the price/performance ratio is definitely completely fine, so we give them 5 stars from us.

Everything is fine

We stayed in the small holiday home with our two children. The furnishings are very comfortable and new. The house was very clean. The attached terrace with garden furniture is great. The property is completely fenced. The proximity to the beach is also ideal. Thanks to the detailed information received from the landlords via email before the holiday, you can navigate the holiday and the surroundings very well. We fully recommend the little house.

Very good! Five stars! Bakery within a 5-minute walk; snack bar, ice cream stand, and bar just around the corner; nudist beach opposite the complex; parking in front of the house in the courtyard; quiet despite being on the street; kitchen with all equipment; internet; pleasant shower for seniors; enough sleeping accommodations; a terrace in front of the house; all fenced in, so well protected; large parasol: What more could we ask for!
