Description
The villa stands on the Gothic foundations of a former fortress, which is recognisable from the Gothic cellars, a portal, and metre-thick walls. The baroque extension is unique with its 17th century painted ceiling. The bedrooms and kitchen are stylishly furnished with antique and modern furniture, and many paintings and drawings hang in the corridors. With a home cinema with beamer or with the barbecue in the garden, a relaxing evening is guaranteed.
The whole villa, and the large garden are at your disposal (except for the attic flat in the villa). Table and benches under the parasol allow you to enjoy your meal outside in the summer. A sandbox with toys and lots of DUPLO, LEGO and other things is ready for the children in the children's room
The beautiful historic country house and garden is ideal for families with children or a group of friends. Especially in summer, the garden invites you to relax and have a barbecue in the evening.

Location and surroundings of object
The house is situated on a hill, next to the church above the village of Bruck am Hammer (Brod nad Tichou). The large garden surrounds the whole villa and offers a nice place to rest, play or barbecue in the evening. No direct neighbours, absolute tranquillity and a wonderful view across the meadows to the forest not far away.
Bruck am Hammer, Czech Brod nad Tichou is located in West Bohemia, on the border with Germany. The region is also called the spa triangle - after the three famous spas: Marienbad, Franzensbad and Karlsbad. Furthermore, historic towns such as Cheb and Loket will delight you. The castles of Bečov and Kynžvart, as well as the Teplá Monastery are inspiring.

additional information about rental price:
| The price is lower for groups of more than 14 people and for stays of more than a week. Cancellation terms:
Here is the translation to English: If you need to cancel your booking, we are happy to refund your payment, provided we are able to re-rent the date to another group. Unfortunately, this is often difficult, as our guests—especially large groups and family celebrations—plan their stays many months, sometimes even more than a year, in advance. It is therefore usually not possible to find a replacement at short notice. In this case, the payment that is due two months before your arrival cannot be refunded. We ask for your understanding and recommend that you inform us of a cancellation as early as possible. This gives us the best possible chance to rebook the date and refund your payment.
additional information:
The house was rebuilt from a ruin of a historic villa. For more than 15 years the whole family has renovated and furnished the house with a lot of energy and love. We are not a hotel. But we offer a unique atmosphere. The house was renovated for a family and is therefore very suitable for families and children.
We have a big request to all our guests. Please use and enjoy the historic house, but please be careful and considerate of the equipment. Therefore we ask you not to smoke in the house and not to let pets into the house. If it is not possible without your dog or cat, please write to me in advance.

Great historical house for groups and families
We spent a long weekend here with a larger group of 15 people including children and felt very comfortable. Wonderfully restored house with history. Everything you need is available. The landlord is extremely nice and always reachable for questions. Great!
Large, beautifully landscaped garden with outdoor seating and grill, as well as space for the children to play with a sandbox, ground trampoline, swing, and table tennis table.
There were enough sleeping places, 11 in "real" beds as well as 2 additional children's beds, a sofa bed with a good mattress in the kitchen, and 2 floor mattresses.
The kitchen had everything you need, we only wished for more bowls for salad, etc. And the driveway is not immediately obvious.
Overall, we were very satisfied and will definitely come back.

Family reunion
We were here over Ascension Day 2022 . Two families from Dresden, one family from Upper Franconia and one from Switzerland
We spent wonderful days with 7 adults and 7 children.
A paradise, especially for the children!
The old vicarage is imposing and very carefully renovated. Two carpenters and a bricklayer know what they are talking about
The condition of the church is regrettable.
We will certainly come back again !

Hiking weekend with family
I was a guest of the Sicha family with my family (10 people in total) on a hiking weekend in the tranquil but beautiful Brod nad Tichou. We rented this uniquely restored former rectory. The accommodation is very nice and offers a lot of space. The rooms are very nicely furnished and the overall ambience is very tasteful, especially the kitchen.
We were very warmly welcomed by the Sicha family, all of them spoke very good German, which made communication easier, especially for my older family members.
The countryside around Brod nad Tichou is super beautiful and the nature reserves are insane, which are great for hiking. Nearby towns like Marienbad and Loket are also worth a trip for sightseeing.
All in all, a fantastic weekend trip that I would do again at any time
Many thanks again to the Sicha family for their warm hospitality

Wonderful weekend with the family
We spent a wonderful weekend with the family (10 adults, 2 children) in the house. It is very lovingly furnished, fully equipped and you feel somewhat transported back to the charm of an earlier time. The hosts are very nice and accommodating and the house was already pre-heated when we arrived. We felt completely at home and the children obviously had fun in the large garden. In addition, you can experience a lot in the surrounding area and enjoy nature. We can highly recommend the accommodation.

Highly recommended
We celebrated a very nice bachelorette party in the villa with 18 young women this September. The house is perfectly located near the German border and the beautiful Marienbad, which we visited during the day. The house immediately impressed us with its charm. Despite the 18 people, we had plenty of space, it was very clean and lovingly furnished, so we immediately felt comfortable. We were warmly welcomed by the owners and shown around the house, and in advance we received great help with the organization (e.g. pre-ordering pizza, etc.) and additional tips. We would always spend our bachelorette party there again and can only recommend a vacation in the villa. Some of us will definitely come back!

Contact
Mr. P. Sicha
We, the Sicha family, come from Prague, but spent more than seven years in Germany in the diplomatic service. We bought the house in 2000, when it was an absolute ruin - no windows in the whole house, a tree grew out of the door - we tried to repair it with our own efforts until 2008. Thanks to a grant for saving listed buildings, we were able to completely renovate the house from 2008-2010.
